Six problems related to suspension have been reported for the 1998 Mitsubishi Montero. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is a continuous and extreme pulsation,vibration of the steering wheel at speeds greater than 40 m. P. H. The same problem exists when braking at certain speeds as well. From reading your web site this appears to be an ongoing problem with this vehicle.
When vehicle exceeds speeds of 60 mph steering wheel vibrates. Cause of vibration is undetermined.
Steering wheel "shimmies". Tech checked it out and could find nothing!.
Vehicle vibration. Repurchased by Mitsubishi 6/2000.
Vehicle experiencing vibration at speeds of 55 to 70 mph.
Vehicle vibrates over 60 mph. Two repair attempts have been made.
