Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander. While the vehicle was at schaumburg Mitsubishi (660 east gulf rd, schaumburg, IL) undergoing routine maintenance, it was discovered that both lower control arms and cross members sustained severe rusting and corrosion. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v458000 (structure); however, the contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 75,000.
