1 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2023

The transmissions in these vehicles are junk and very dangerous. I was driving out of town and all of a sudden the rpm´s started revving up. Then I tried to slow down and pull over and the vehicle did not want to down shift and it stalled on the highway with traffic. This is not the first time the transmission went out on the same vehicle. I had a hard time finding a transmission to put in and when I did it only lasted a year. Please, you can not put these cars out there with this type of transmission in them. They are junk. Please make this right.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2019

I know this car has four recalls on it. But I'm having issues with what it feels like to be the transmission. I have been googling slow or sluggish acceleration issues and other people have been having the same problem. Then I came across a recall for the Outlander sport involving the cvt in newer models. I don't know if those cvt issues are the same ones my car is having. But is becoming a pain in the butt to try and accelerate fast enough on the road or the highway to get out of peoples way or to move just noticing people going around me because of my sluggish acceleration. I have to press on the gas pretty hard to even get up to about 20 or 30 not to mention what sounds like my muffler is humming. I feel it's a danger trying to accelerate and not getting up to the speed to make a turn or get on the highway like I said. I noticed that I have to put a specific date at the bottom of this form but it's been going on for a while now. I actually went to Mitsubishi to get my transmission fluid replaced and the guy said that this issue will go away but it didnt.

3 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2017

We recently change the power train (transmission) 2014 after three years we are having issues again. After every hour on the road we have to stop and let it rest for a while because it heats up pretty quickly. This happens mostly in highways.

4 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/07/2016

There have been many problems the last couple years with my car, I noticed last year when I was on a long distance road trip that my transmission overheating light was coming on? I had to pull over a couple times and let it cool down before I could continue. . . It stopped doing it for awhile, and then now my car is losing accelleration on the freeway and seems to be stalling , it is very dangerous and no one at Mitsubishi or other shops knows whats wrong? please help.

5 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/23/2015

I was stopped on one stop signal, waiting my turn to cross a busy highway, when I had my chance to cross the higway the vehicle suddenly stops and pops up on the screen "service required" according what I got explained the vehicle enter in safe mode and wont let us finish to cross the highway, a truck came right on front to us and we got help to push the car to finish to cross the highway and be safe from an accident, we went over to Mitsubishi specialist and they told us that the bad component that cause this issue was the oil cooler from the cvt transmission or power train, the car is low millage and good maintenance, after repair the oil cooler now had a bad behavior that scare us to run in to another accident can be viewed on the following link: https://. .
