I was driving with shade closed and ac on for around 4hours since 6am from alexandria - lousiana. When I arrive in dallas - TX I decided to open the shade from my sunroof glass and less than 1 minute as I open I heard and noise like a small explosion and saw a hole in my sunroof glass. The glass start to crack. Same moment I closed my shade and reduce my speed. I was 6 minutes from my hotel. When I stop the car I saw that sunroof glass was in direction from inside to outside the car. Looks clearly that the explosion happened from inside to outside the car. I called to Mitsubishi road service and they sent a tow truck to send my car to don herring dealer. After 3 days Mitsubishi called me and told by according pictures it was a rock that hit my glass and broken and they dont have nothing to do. Don herring dealer in texas and sport Mitsubishi in orlando both of them assume that dont have any real evidence that was a rock because the glass exploded direction it was to up - showing that happened from inside to outside. I went to safelite glass company too and they told the same. As it is tempered glass must be broken in small pieces completely or total fallen inside the car. This looks like when I open the shade and because inside the car was too cold and outside was too hot had some thermical shock and sunroof glass not hold this situation.
I can not express how disappointed I am with this car. You cannot use the review camera as the screen goes black or freezes. You cannot put the visor down as you will not be able to see out the windshield. If you go to push the gas the car stutters and sometimes shuts off completely. I bought my car brand new with 200 miles on it and after 6 months of driving it they told me my tires needed to be replaced because they were dangerous. After taking it into the dealership several times I was told that's just how the car is. The first chance I get I am trading this car and getting something else, and I will never purchase from them again. They have no pride in their cars at all and it will end up getting someone killed.
While backing out of my driveway, the rearview camera did not function properly and there was a collision with a dumpster in the neighbor's driveway. This resulted in the shattering of the back glass and the reordering of the entire back lift gate of the vehicle.
Vehicle has 12,000 miles. I was driving about to take trip and got a warning "engine malfunction power reduced service now. Got to dealership, they think its a software issue. Seriously scared me and it could be software. Awaiting dealership to confirm. Visibility with visors down is extremely limited. Can't drive with visors.
Purchase 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander fall of 2021. Took first trip of over 200 miles on highway. Noticed that speeds of 60 mph or over, the hood vibrates(badly). Took to local dealership was told Mitsubishi aware of issue, and in the works to correct, and most likely recall to replace hoods. Just took in this week June 2023 to local dealership. Asked again about hood issue. This time was told Mitsubishi not aware and no fix available or in the works. My concern is I travel a lot on major highways at over 60 mph. What happens if hood flys up when driving 60 mph. The hood would fly back break windshield, cause death or serious accident. And that worries my wife and me. Dealership hasn't done anytime to ease my concerns.
I have taken my SUV for to updates in regaurds to repairing the hood that shakes and bounces. It moves up and down when going down the road fast or slow. Its not only the wind that causes this it is also bumps in the road. It oftem seams the hood will fly up and can be pretty scarry. I fewel something needs to be done to help support the hood and make it samefer. If it keeps moving metal fatigue could occure and cause a safety issue that could lead to a death.
