Ignition Problems of Mitsubishi Outlander

The contact owns a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that when the vehicle was purchased, the contact received one key fob and the contact was informed that a second key fob had to be purchased. The contact purchased a new key fob however, the key fob could not be programmed because the software was a manufacturer only software. The contact was concerned when the software update would be available. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 14,300.

The engine has started on its own w/out the key in the ignition. You cannot turn the engine off w/ the key, after some time it will turn itself off. This problem has occurred twice. The first time the dealership replaced the ignition. The second time the dealership stated it is impossible, and did not find a problem.
