Vehicle: 2006 Mitsubishi Raider pickup truck
failure: automatic transmission shifts out of gear spontaneously. Description: on occasion, when initiating movement in forward or reverse gear, the vehicle will begin to move in the desired direction, then the gear selection lever will spontaneously move into the "neutral" position, disengaging the transmission. This results in a vehicle that either coasts (based on its momentum) or rolls in the direction determined by the grade of the road/ driving surface.
