Airbag light comes on every 4-8 weeks flashing red until the light is reset. As others have stated, this is an obvious defect in the car and needs to be addressed. This is a safety concern and I feel the airbags will not deploy if an accident occurs. The Nissan dealer wants 100 plus dollars to check the light each time and do a reset. Each time they tell me I need to replace airbag sensors or the entire airbag unit with no guaranty this will resolve the issue. I can see that no amount of money will resolve the issue as all threads and even in the complaints on this site point out the thousands people have spent replacing sensors and units, still resulting in the airbag system failures and return of the airbag light. I want Nissan to address this as a major safety issues. This is a very fast, small car. I don't want to end up with major injuries or death due to airbag failure, which at this point is a fact if an accident should occur. Since the dealership is in the business of draining me of money and not resolving this airbag issue I formally request action in regards to this known safety issue.
My airbags did not deploy.

Approximately 3/1/08, my 2005 350z airbag sensor light started flashing. I took it to the dealer on 3/8/10 where I purchased it. Tech verified failure code b1129 rh side module. Replaced with yhehm-cd000 module assy-side. Light was cleared. Then approximately 10/1/10, again that sensor light started to flash. I took it into the same dealership where I purchased my new car on 10/6/10 (7 months later). Tech diagnosed failure code b1134 lh side air bag module failure. Replaced with yheha-cd000. Light was cleared. On Nov 20, 2010, I hydroplaned in the rain, hit a guard rail head on, did a 1080 (360 degrees x 3) then hit a tree on the right side. My airbags did not deploy and after the point of inpact, that same sensor light started to flash on the dash. I filed a complaint with Nissan consumer affairs (1800 Nissan1) option 7 then option 3. They had a technician/engineer come out to perform an inspection, after about 4 weeks waiting for a response from them (I called numerous times asking about an update) I received a phone call from my howard bell stating that the technician found everything in working order. I think that the tech should have found an error code because of the flashing sensor light. There should be a recall on this vehicle. I was wearing my seatbelt and I had only minor injuries but still this should be considered a lemon because its safety related and was "fixed" twice and still did not function when I really needed it to. I did not have my cell until my wife drove out to my location then I recorded the dash with the sensor light flashing. Bystandards called police but only paramedics came out, when called dispatch, they said that they were unable to locate me so therefore no police report was taken.
Two car accident on 5/29/10 at 5:12 p. M. On interstate I-40 westbound at sara road, candian county, oklahoma. During highly congested traffic, I rear-ended a 2007 Buick enclave with my 2004 Nissan 350 z at approximately 45 mph. The passenger airbag deployed, but the drivers airbag did not deploy.

I was told, by the dealer, that the airbags on my 2004 Nissan 350z will no longer work unless I replace the left and right modules and sensor at an approx cost of $1700. Nissan is no longer willing to warranty the aribags, since the car has 116,000 miles (per 2/5/10 call from consumer affairs division). Their wty is 60 mos or 60k miles; however, the seat belt wty is 120 mos. Or 120k miles. The airbags are a safety issue that are just as important in the event of a crash as seat belts. They have never been deployed. I suggested Nissan reconsider the air bag wty and assist me with getting this ($1700) issue resolved as I cannot afford to. They declined my offer. I do not feel safe driving the car if the air bags will not deploy in the event of a crash. I am trying to proactively avoid serious injury or a fatality in the event of a crash.
My wife was involved in an accident where she t-boned another driver after he made an illegal turn in front of her. The airbags in her car did not deploy. She hit this guy at approximately 35 miles per hour.
Driving home only 1/8 mile from my house, I collided head on with a small pick-up truck. My Nissan 350 car spun several times and came to rest. Most of the damage was to the driver side and front end. Front bumper completely gone. Driver side headlight completely gone, passenger side intact. Driver side door can only open a few inches, passenger side-fine. Driver side windshield cracked due to hood being pushed back into car, passenger side-fine. My concern and major complaint is that while my passenger side air bag deployed, the driver side nor the driver side air bags deployed. Had I been traveling at higher speeds or not wearing my seat belt and my air bag did not deploy, I could have seriously been hurt due to this, what I feel to be a, malfunction. To add, I had a 2004 Nissan 350z previously in which I had gently hit a curb, front, driver side and my side air bag deployed immediately. For the accident and the significant more damage that just occurred, there is no way that the air bags should not have deployed. I see similar complaints researching this and I am greatly concerned.
I own a 2003 Nissan 350z which was purchased in March of this year. The car has approximately 4,000 miles to date. I was recently in an automobile accident where the result of the crash was in the front of my car. I was traveling 30-35 miles an hour when the crash occurred. Thankfully I was wearing my seatbelt because my airbag did not deploy while
the passenger side did deploy. I feel this is a serious defect in this car. If I was not wearing my seatbelt, I could have been seriously hurt. The results could have been tragic if the accident was at a higher level of
severity due to the fact that my(driver's side) airbag did not deploy!.
