2 Equipment problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 03/01/2020

My car for the last year will drive 5-7 miles and stall in regular traffic. We replaced the fuel pump. I finally have enough $ to take to Nissan. They came back with it needs all 2 cam shaft sensors and crank shaft sensor replaced. When I go on line and search my 2003 350z touring edition recall, there was a recall for this problem as it appears the wires can break inside due to temp on solder joints. I would like to know if this is this a problem that was noted on a recall and this is an ongoing problem with this same model, why now am I going to pay Nissan $1200 for the repair that should be covered. I need this investigated.

3 Equipment problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 12/03/2017

Purchased four (4) michelin tires from America's tire depot and received warranty of 45,000 miles on wear. Have had a difficult time getting prorated amount having received less than 20k miles and chunking of tires as a result. . Difficulty resides in atd/michelin: not wanting to replace tires without me spending another $500-$700 to have them mounted, balanced etc due to their pro ration calculation factor. My original cost was $1000! researching the tires I found that for a number of years this problem has been reoccurring. Since 2008 or earlier. Michelin denies responsibility for producing defective and unsafe tires that contradicts the public image they have built over many years. Company places the problem with the consumer thus 'voiding' the warranty mileage guaranty that they sell with the tires in turn costing the customer untold thousands/millions of dollars. There are numerous customer complaints on the internet regarding these under achieving and unsafe tires michelin is aware of the problem but still they are allowed to sell these tires, deny any responsibility for the defects and practice an unethical, and possibly illegal, business model.

4 Equipment problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 04/20/2017

There is a defect in this vehicle that wont let you open the door and window on either, or both sides. Be it with the remote or even with the key from the outside, and leave you with no options to open from the inside as the latch refuse to move, I let you conjure the multitude of scenarios that would put your life in jeopardy, in an emergency situation where you have to exit the vehicle in a hurry, a death trap at any time. A brief search on the internet would show that many people have had this problem with different models of Nissan.

5 Equipment problem of the 2007 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 01/09/2017

While driving at higher freeway speed, the cvt automatic transmission remains in high speed, it does not shift into a lower speed when I am trying to slow down the vehicle. There is leakage and burnt smell coming from under the hood. It was tested in two locations and the vehicle has a faulty transmission. Nissan does not offer rebuilt transmissions and used transmissions are just as risky to install. New transmissions are more costly than what the car is worth.

8 Equipment problem of the 2007 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

For the past couple days, while driving, the clutch when pushed in sticks to the floor for a couple seconds before popping back up. The other day, I was in the middle of an intersection, unable to accelerate due to the clutch being stuck. I took it into Nissan and they have to replace the master slave cylinder as well as the master hydraulic cylinder, costing me a total of $1039. At 26,xxx, there is no excuse for this happening. I have heard countless occasions of this same problem and demand a recall or a refund from Nissan.

9 Equipment problem of the 2004 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 10/17/2014

I have had a problem with the neutral safety switch causing the car to periodically not start. A mechanic made a previous diagnosis but said there were no safety concerns. The car eventually would start all, requiring downtime for repair. Sometimes after sitting over night and sometimes after several errands the car won't start but never this sudden stall. Today, the car stalled while I was in the middle of slowing down to make a left hand turn. It was a two lane mountain road. Cars were able to get around me without incident and I was able to coast backwards to a place of safety. I let the car sit for about 10 min. Which is my usually what I do when it won't start. Put it in neutral after releasing the locked gear shift, with foot on the break, started the car. I am thankful that I hadn't yet merged onto the freeway.

10 Equipment problem of the 2003 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 11/08/2011

In 2005, I bought a 2003 Nissan 350z. In early November of 2011, I started having these problems. The engine would die suddenly while driving, the check engine and tcs lights would come on, and the car would run very rough once it did decide to start. I took the car into a Nissan service center on 11/08/2011. The mileage according to the service invoice was 83,906. Along with the problems noted above, the service technician added diag p0340 and c1130 stored, loss of engine signal. Replaced camshaft and crankshaft sensors. My cost for the repair: $618. 61. My car had not one, but every symptom of a recalled car. The camshaft and crankshaft sensor (very specific repairs) were needed to correct the problem; same as a recalled vehicle. After bringing this to Nissan's attention, I was contacted by a regional manager who stated my car was not on the recall list and she could not help me. I hope no other vehicles engines shut off while on the interstate.

11 Equipment problem of the 2004 Nissan 350Z

Failure Date: 09/20/2004

While driving 40 mph, the vehicle's traction control engaged on it's own. However, the road was dry and not wet. The driver applied the brake pedal and the vehicle stalled. The driver tried to restart the vehicle and was able to do so. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the driver that it was normal. Please provide further details.

12 Equipment problem of the 2004 Nissan 350Z

The navigation system door sticks. This has occurred 5 or 6 times. The dealer has replaced the door, the motor and the entire unit and it's happening again.
