Three problems related to car accelerates on its own have been reported for the 1999 Nissan Altima. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Sudden acceleration.
The vehicle experienced sudden acceleration, in which the seat broke.
As driver applied brakes, car suddenly accelerated while foot was still on brakes. During this acceleration, the car made a "roaring" noise and the number of engine revolutions increased. This acceleration caused the driver to hit a stopped school bus in front of him.
