Two problems related to front seat recliner have been reported for the 1999 Nissan Altima. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 30-35 mph vehicle was involved in a head-on collision, causing backseat to unlock and come forward. There was one injury.
Vehicle was in a collision where it was rear ended at 50 mph. Vehicle was pushed into another vehicle, causing the driver's seatback to collapse and fall back into a reclining position. Also, air bags did not deploy. Dealer has not been contacted.
