Tire Sidewall problems of the 2002 Nissan Altima

1 Tire Sidewall problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Nissan Altima equipped with general tires, tire line: Altimax rt43, tire size: 215/60/r16, and dot number: a35mwbkw. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, when the brake pedal was depressed and the contact lost control of the vehicle causing it to crash into a ditch. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy and a police report was filed for the incident. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was deemed totaled. The vehicle was then towed to the contact insurance company for investigative purposes. The contact stated that the insurance company confirmed that the rear passenger side sidewall had detached from the tire. The tires were not replaced. The tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 118,600 and the tire failure mileage was 1,000.

2 Tire Sidewall problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2005

Dt the rear driver's side tire separated from inside top on October 1, 2005. Had not contacted the dealer at this point. The rear end had been making a roaring sound at 65 mph, slowed down to 50 mph, and then a few seconds later could hear the plopping sound. These were bridgestone/firestone tires, turanza el 42, p215/55r17. The tires were serviced regularly. There was no vibration, and there was no abnormal bulging in the tires.
