The car had been shifting erratically for a while now and, though the transmission has been regularly service it now has failed. It began banging into gear when trying to put it into forward or reverse. It will not go into filth gear and Nissan is aware of the problem with most of these transmission they have not voluntarily re-called them. There needs to be intervention via the government & a class action suit that will actually go forward as it seems like the last one was voluntarily dis-banned. It makes me wonder if the initiators were paid off.
My 2005 Nissan maxima bought used didn't even have it for six months transmission failed. When ever it is driven for 15 or so minutes it wont shift gears and when coming to a stop it feels like someone slammed into me from behind. I feel very unsafe in this vehicle. I noticed that this is a common problen with this make and model. What is going to be done about this?.
My clutch in my 2005 Altima se-r has sank to the floor causing me to pump the clutch while driving. I believe this is unsafe for any driver. This not only causes a wreck by not engaging in gear, it also put others in danger if my car goes out.
