1 Steering Is Tight problem

When I was about to go to work and try to turn the car, the car didn't want to turn on, the car locked the steering wheel, I have the key present and it's telling me it's locked, the steering wheel is really hard (locked) and the break got really hard to press down. I was doing some research and it's telling me it's the escl (defective electronic steering column lock).

2 Steering Is Tight problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that after utilizing the vehicle and turning it off and coming back to the vehicle to utilize it again ,the vehicle failed to start and the steering wheel was extremely hard to move. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering wheel lock had failed and would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000. Wh.
