This is a first time incident pertaining to my 2013 Nissan Altima sedan. My brake warning lamp (red) illuminated while I was driving at a steady speed of 45 mph. Note. . . Earlier in the morning I did not experience this issue while driving. I pulled over to the side of the road and confirmed that my parking brake pedal was fully released. I turned the engine off and moments later I restarted it. The brake warning lamp stayed illuminated. Knowing that my brakes were performing normally, I continued on my journey and drove home. At that time I checked the vehicles brake master cylinder fluid level. It was slightly below the reservoir's maximum indicator. In addition I checked and confirmed that my rear brake lamps were operating properly. The vehicle was parked for approx. 4 hours and the engine was restarted. The brake warning lamp was no longer illuminated. I then drove the vehicle at night for approximately 5 miles without the problem reoccurring. It is important to note that the daytime temperature was rather high at 94 degrees.
