Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 2015 Nissan Altima

Control arm rusted and snapped at the connection point where it meets the knuckle on both sides a couple months apart. The vehicle was in motion both times thankfully on a city street after hitting a small bump for a manhole cover.

Had this been at her usual highway speeds would have been tragic accident with loss of vehicle control and ability to stop.

Nissan is not honoring a known defect and the insurance company said that unless it was in an accident, they would not cover it either. We are stuck paying to replace both rear control arms at our expense. When Nissan is aware that it is there issue and it should cover Altima's from 2013-2018. Ours is a 2015. We live in one of the salt rock states. This is a real safety issue and Nissan should have to make the repair free of charge and not let the consumer foot the bill. Until fixed we don't have our primary vehicle.
