The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Armada. On 5 occasions, the air bag sensor control module was reset. On one of the attempts there was a bad connection to the battery and it failed to reset. The vehicle is currently at the dealer due to the failure. The recent failure and current mileages were 65000.
Supplemental air bag warning light stays on. Owner's manual states that if that happens the air bag will not function properly. Dealer stated that the air bag control unit had to be reset.
I purchase a new Nissan Armada in April of this year. When dring two weeks I noticed the passeneger air-bag light was going on and off. After contacting the dealership & Nissan they told me that the seat would not go off unless the person weighed over 120 pounds which my wife is less than that. This information wasn't disclosed when purchasing the car or is it clearly stated in the manuel. I now have a car that my wife doesn't want to drive. There are many women that don't meet this weight requirement who will not be protected.
