Unknown the light for air bags is on.
The contact owned a 2005 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, his steering wheel was locked without warning. Due to the failure, the contact veered off the road and hit two parked vehicles. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact stated that a little girl was standing near one of the parked vehicles and was knocked into a tree and was airlifted to a child trauma center. The contact stated that from his knowledge, the girl was only treated for cuts and bruises. The contact stated that he was knocked out for a few minutes after impact but refused medical attention at the scene. He later went to the hospital and was treated for a concussion and whiplash. The contact stated that he believed that a police report was filed but was not certain. The vehicle was towed from the scene to an independent tow yard where it was deemed a total loss. The dealer nor the manufacturer have been notified of the failure. The vehicle had been destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 215,000.

I now have $450. 00 auto repair bill because of a defective airbag that will not inflate if I were to have an accident. I also own a 2003 Nissan pathfinder that had a recall issued for an airbag problem. Very disappointed the Armada was not part of a recall.
Air bag default warning on instrument panel. 2005 Nissan Armada. Dealer says air bags will not work unless an interior harness from airbag/seat weight cushion/computer is replaced. Dealer says they have replaced "a bunch" of them on Nissan Armadas. Cost is $459 and air bags won't work until it is replaced. Dealer says Nissan does not have a safety/warranty campaign on this faulty item. Dealer is "douglas Nissan" in college station TX.
My 2005 Nissan Armada has experienced an airbag system failure due to 'connector' issues affecting both the driver's and passenger's side seats. Nissan is aware of this defect and has even issued technical service bulletin ntb06-001 regarding the defect. Nissan is failling to stand behind their product, despite the fact that it is a safety related defect which renders the airbags inoperable. As a result I am having to pay out-of-pocket $650 for repairs.
2005 Nissan Armada le, 56k miles multiple electrical issues resulting in loss of critical functions: braking system, air bags, electrical power all while the vehicle is being driven. Have taken to dealership 8 times for repairs related to electrical problems. Most recently, loss of brakes occurred while traveling on a major road @ 50 mph; lost brake function when approached stop light. This has happened multiple times, I have reported it to the dealer 4 times. Each time the code is "cleared" but nothing is done. This time they are replacing the abs booster, but from reading posts of other owners, the problem recurs. Dealer refuses to report problem to Nissan.
