Three problems related to tank assembly have been reported for the 2006 Nissan Armada. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2006 Nissan Armada based on all problems reported for the 2006 Armada.
Driving our Nissan Armada at apprx 15mph and went over a tree branch that could not be avoided that had fallen, with no injury to our vehicle but caused a large leak in the gas tank. Now the punctured gas tank has to be replaced. The risk of this large puncture in the tank from such a minor impact could have resulted in an explosion of the vehicle. Fuel tanks should not be made in a manner that they are so vulnerable to damage because it is a hazard.
2006 Nissan Armada stall on freeway while driving fluids were checked in 3 days ago had a little over 1/4 tank of gas. Engine suddenly died almost got rear end it by a semi-truck barely made safe to the side of the road with a dead engine my family was very scare we have 4 children we're thank full that nothing happen to us we try to restart the car but it was dead, had to call a tow truck.
Around 7/09, my Armada just stopped on the freeway (according to the gas gauge, we had a 1/2 tank left). . . Then found out on 7/27/09 that gas gauge was faulty, so I had to pay $560. 21 to antioch Nissan to have that replaced. On 3/3/10, heard on the news there's a recall on fuel gauge on my Nissan & got my reimbursement & had fuel gauge replaced again on 4/2/10. . . Once in a while when I put gas in my Armada, it takes forever for the gas gauge to go up to where it's supposed to be (ie. I put $40 which should put it in 1/2 tank. . . I drove 5 miles before it actually got from 1/4 tank to 1/2 tank. . . I took pictures of this occurrence).
