1 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2023

On a continuing basis, while vehicle is in motion, applying the brakes causes brake pedal to sink to the floorboard with loss of braking power and with loud grinding noise coming from front of vehicle. Turning vehicle off then back on temporarily fixes the issue.

2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2022

I was driving in traffic and my breaks went out and I almost got in a collision. The breaks at first didn't work and then were bouncing and grinding to stop and the break warning light came on. I swerved and barely missed another car. I pulled over in a parking lot there was a burning smell and let it sit for 4hr. I took it to get the breaks fixed an they couldn't find any issues with the breaking system except for the delta stroke sensor failure. I understand this has a been an ongoing issue with cars. One situation killed 3 people and Nissan lost a $25m lawsuit on this. I can't understand why this wouldn't be on a recall as issues with the breaking system is life threatening. My car is now at Nissan getting fixed, has been there for 2 weeks, they still can't figure out the issue with the delta sensor breaking system. This is very serious and no matter what age of the car, should be covered under a recall. You can find hundreds of articles online to understand how many cars are affected. Please look into this and issue a recall.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/12/2021

I've had several near collisions because breaks slip as though the abs system is engaged and the brake light comes on. I have to find an area to pull off to stop the car then restart it to get rid of the problem temporarily.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2014

Over the course of owning this car the emergency brake will come on while I am driving. This causes the brakes to not work correctly and is very dangerous. I will be driving and the incident will occur without warning. I have contacted Nissan several times but they have been unable to correct the problem. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/13/2014

While driving our Nissan Armada our brake indicator light came on while driving 45mph down a city street. When my wife, who was driving attempted to stop at a stoplight the Armada's brakes shuddered, went to the floorplan of the vehicle and become spongy. As this happened nearly all braking capacity disappeared and my wife was barely able to stop. She pulled off the roadway stopped the vehicle and called for a tow service because it had scared her so badly. Upon restarting the vehicle however, the problem dissappeared to I, her husband, drove the car home with quite some anxiety and the problem would not replicate itself. I inspected all brake hardware, fluid levels, and there appears to be no actual problem. I am reading about many customers with similar model year Nissan titans and Armadas having identical problems with no real solution being made by Nissan north America. What do I do? I am very scared for the safety of my wife and two small children.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2013

Traveling down interstate when trafic slowed due to construction. When brakes were applied, a screaching grinding sound was made and brakes didn't stop properly. Vehicle took much longer to stop than normal. Immediately after, the "brake" warning light came on. After the vehcile was turned off and back on, it went off. This has happened one other time less than a year ago. I don't know the exact date so for date of incident, today's was used. Have read on mulitple online forums where this is a very common problem with Nissan Armada's and Nissan has failed to do anything about it.
