I currently own a 2005 Nissan Frontier. 3 months ago, the vehicle had been stalling on me every several days, it would immediately turn back on. Last month it began shutting down on me every 2 days, a few times on the highway, almost getting rear ended a couple of times. It would turn back on, but after several tries and after 15-20 min wait. After checking recalls on my vehicle I noticed I had not been contacted about a recall for the replacement of a ecm relay, which was causing vehicles to shutdown. This relay was replaced and vehicle had been running fine for 3 weeks, but my vehicle has now started to sputter every few days. It has shutdown on me twice in the last couple of weeks.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Frontier. The contact was driving 35 when the engine exhibited a decrease in rpms followed by the stalling of the engine. The vehicle restarted after the failure but the rpm were still abnormal. The vehicle was taken the dealer where the dealer confirmed that the wiring harness was corroded and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and the vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 90,000 and the current mileage was 132,000.
