The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while driving approximately five mph the front driver side airbag erroneously deployed causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a second parked vehicle. During the crash the driver sustained injuries to the upper left leg and left hand, neck, left shoulder and torso injuries along with a left forearm laceration and chemical burning from the airbag deployment. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the incident. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 84,000.
Takata recall: I was traveling about 5mph on a dirt road when the air bag deployed. I was not hit by anything and did not hit anything. The seat belts also locked up.
