While driving over 100 miles from home at 60mph, on a major interstate, behind a tractor trailer, I waited for no traffic in the left lane so that I could pass. I put my blinker on, got into the left lane, got next to the tractor trailer and the car went from 65 to ten mph and would not go any faster. Obviously my car dropped back and I very slowly got back behind the tractor trailer and over to the side of the road. The transmission blew from overheating! I was able to get a garage to look at it and diagnose it and it was reconfirmed when brought to a Nissan dealership. It came with a 60,000 mile warranty, I paid extra to get a 72000 mile warranty , and it went at 87000. My research showed many Nissan Juke owners having the same problem after driving their Juke over a hundred mile stretch or more. I paid almost 35000. For this car and bought it with twelve miles on it. Are they meant to go less than 4 years?! I am not that rich! I reported it to Nissan, they called me today and said they were sorry that they couldn't help me but that it was out of warranty. I could have gotten killed on that highway! now I am out a car I bought in October of 2011 and it died in September of 2015 (less than 4 years!) . . . Unless I pay $4000. For a transmission with 10,000 miles on it because Nissan says I cant even get a new transmission for it!.

My Juke has been dececlerating while in highway doing 75mph and has been jumping gears which all had been a problem since purchasing the car and was not found until today that the entire valve body control in the transmission which controls cvt needs to be replaced. This is a safety issue that should have been recalled as my car is 4 years old and should not have this problem with less then 130000 miles. I had extended warranty until 120000 and continuously reported this to dealership during each service which they never could diagnose and found today telling me the cost to fix it and replace and resolve these issues is over $1800. My Juke has had several problems on top of these issues all to do with safety over the years and several similar complaints have been reported and not recalled by Nissan which is unacceptable, unsafe, and a legal issue which I will possibly be pursuing due to the several accidents I have also experienced throughout the years which these problems were also present and not resolved due to no safety recalls being on file with Nissan. My car has also shut off twice while in traffic and stopped accelerating on highway several times almost causing accidents. Other owners have reported these same issues and no recalls have been done although the Juke also stopped being made in 2015 right after I purchased mine brand new. I have kept up on all routine maintenance throughout the years and fees that these issues are unacceptable, unsafe, and all which I will be reporting to better business heresy, Nissan, and exploring legal case if Nissan does not look into recalling these several safety hazards on the 2014-2015 Jukes, including my Juke. I want a resolution and not to have to pay for these safety concerns that should have been recalled and resolved and still have not been to this date of today where issue was identified, see attachment.

My 2012 Nissan Juke all began on Wednesday February 25, 2015 when I was beginning my morning. I went out to start my car, the same way I always do before I leave for work in the mornings. Ten minutes later when I walked outside my car was not running. I called a local mechanic who does house calls and asked if he could come over. He knew almost immediately that the timing chain had broken. He continued to run some tests and diagnostics and stated that there was no compression in the valves. I jumped right online only to find out to my horror that Nissan had issued a service campaign 6+ months earlier and I was never notified. I still was not concerned. I called the Nissan 800 number right away and the lady that worked with me was extremely helpful. She then put me in contact with kocourek Nissan. When I was connected, I explained what was going to the service center. The first thing perry informed me of was that if there was sludge in my oil, it would void my warranty. This made me extremely nervous. Once my vehicle was towed to kocourek Nissan, he called me again stating that he had not even had a chance to look at it yet, but needed to charge me $200. 00 to get it on the path to diagnostics. Again perry was insistent on letting me know if there was sludge in the oil/oil pan it would most likely void my warranty. Again, a feeling of panic hits as I can already see where this going. When perry calls me back that evening he states that surprise, there is sludge in the oil/oil pan. But he was going to get everything over to Nissan and “fight for me”. On Thursday February 26, 2015 perry calls me again and states that there is too much sludge, your warranty is void, and a new engine is about $5000. 00. There is a timing chain that broke while engine was running. That would have junked that engine. I have the oil changed regularly.

On wed, January 21, 2015, I arrived home around 7pm and went inside. I was not in the house 5 minutes when I heard a massive explosion in my driveway. I then saw a bright orange glow outside my window, which was my car engulfed in flames. The fire dept suppressed the fire and that night I called my insurance company to report the incident. The car (a lease), was incinerated and deemed a total loss by the insurance adjuster. My insurance paid off the car to the leasing company. When I researched this issue, I saw a letter the NHTSA sent to Nissan north America regarding a loose fuel pressure sensor in my 2013 Juke and prompted them to issue recalls. That letter was dated Dec 8, 2014. My car was, in fact, on the recall list and I finally got my letter one week after the incident. Nissan was very slow to inform their customers of a very serious and potentially fatal issue. Nissan corporate did an investigation on my car and focused on the fuel pressure sensor. After 1 month of waiting for them to contact me, they called me wed, February 25th, 2015 telling me that the fuel pressure sensor was not the issue, however they are not able to pinpoint what exactly did happen. They admit that no external factors could have contributed to this fire and that it was, indeed, an issue with the car. The only thing they said they could do for me was offer a discount on a new Nissan, however I told them I would never drive another Nissan, especially since they aren't sure what made the car blow up. I know in my heart the fuel pressure sensor was to blame. Why else would my car be engulfed in an obvious fuel fire in my driveway. I find it horrible that they are not accepting responsibility for their faulty engineering. You may want to look more into this since they "don't know what caused it". Also, they said they could not release the report to me as it's Nissan's property.

I was driving my wife's 2013 Nissan Juke which was purchased in December of 2013. I was driving the car by myself for the second time and therefore I was not accustomed to using the keyless ignition. I stopped to check the mail box approximately 100 feet on top of a small hill on the road of my condominium complex, where the mail box was located. I was focused on the process of using the new push button system of turning off the ignition and consequently did not shift the car into park. I turned the car off and exited the car while it was still in drive, left the door open and proceeded to walk over to my mail box. I did not recall hearing any type of alarm alerting me to the fact that the car was not in park. Once I realized the car was rolling, I ran after it hoping to catch it before it hit someone fearing that someone could be seriously injured or killed. I ran over some damp grass fell to the ground so hard I severely dislocated my right shoulder severing 3 rotator cuff tendons requiring extensive surgery. Also I was running so hard that I tore the muscles in the back of my legs and severely lacerated my right forearm as well. The car came to a stop after it brushed up against my neighbor's garage causing approximately $4,000. 00 worth of damage to the vehicle and also approximately $1,200. 00 worth of damage to the garage, lawn and shrubs. Mail out 02/25/lj.
While parked in our driveway for more than 30 hrs, my 2013 Juke burst into flames. The fire dept did not find any evidence of arson or tampering and there was no weather occurrence to explain why it became engulfed in flames. The fire started in the engine compartment at 12:40am. Nissan has said that they examined the car and their technical specialist found " no evidence of a product problem, failure, or malfunction that may have caused or contributed to this incident". Nissan will not tell me why the car burned up, just they're not responsible. Why would a low milage, well maintained vehicle catch fire unless there was some kind of product failure? I was lucky that only property was damaged but I feel Nissan USA is not taking the incident seriously.
Took vehicle in for service 3/30/12 and was informed that there was a recall on the vehicle concerning the fuel pressure sensor connection. The dealer told me it would take at least 2 hours to repair and I was unable to stay that day. At this point I was not informed that a part needed to be ordered in order for them to satisfy the recall. This is clearly stated by the dealer on invoice 105444. Just wondering why the part was not ordered at that time. So I had to go out of town and the dealership informed that I could go to any Nissan dealer to have this done, still not telling me a part needed to be ordered. So when I was able to schedule a time to have the recall taken care of I did just that. I also had received via u. S. Mail the recall notification. The recall number is 12v-069. I went to the Nissan dealer on my pre-scheduled appointment and it was at that time I was informed that a part needed to be ordered and they did not have it in stock. (still not sure why they would not order the part then and there. ) so one wasted trip to the dealership. Oh by the way they called me twice and sent an email to confirm the appointment. So yesterday I scheduled another appointment with the dealer to take care of this recall. So when I show up today at the dealership they still have not ordered the part. I asked if they could overnight the part and they said they could not and it would take 2 business days to get the part. Unfortunately, I am scheduled to go out of town on business for the next month or so and I was taking the car that has the recall. So now I have wasted 2 trips to the dealership (30 mile drive) and still do not have the car fixed. I am very unhappy with this process and I think that Nissan should offer some sort of compensation for my time and gas. At this point I don't know what to do next. Can you please advise.
Vehicle involved: 2011 Nissan Juke sl and has 4,192 miles on the odometer. While driving down the highway, we ran over some debris which punctured the gas tank, causing all of the gas to begin pouring out of the tank. We had just filled up the 11. 8 gallon fuel tank and had no idea the fuel was leaking until we pulled into the driveway approx. Five miles later. We called the fire dept. For fear of the car exploding in the driveway. The firefighters were shocked there was nothing protecting the fuel tank from road debris bouncing up and punching a hole into it. I feel this is a manufacturers defect. The gas tank shouldn't be sitting out so exposed. Nissan had a similar problem with the murano for which they ordered a safety recall to address this problem. They should do the same with the Juke. The local dealership and Nissan corporation has shown not a care for what happened to my wife and I, claiming it's not their fault we ran over something in the road. The reality is some things are unavoidable to run over and the gas tank shouldn't be so easily ruptured and positioned with no type of protective plate in the way. The repair bill was $863. 04 to put in a new gas tank. My wife is now terrified of driving the car for fear of being blown up and wants to get rid of it.
