39 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 05/05/2017

I have a Nissan Juke 2011 and had to replace the fuel pressure sensor because it was leaking gas. I feared for my safety and the safety of passengers. Nissan refused to repair my vehicle because my car was not apart of the VIN number selected for recall. I had the same problem and could have been killed. They should be responsible. Grainger Nissan, 1550 chatham parkway, savannah, GA, 912-358-5858 repaired my vehicle. Nissan need to refund my money.

40 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 05/04/2017

Note long ago. , my car was taken for an oil change. Afterwards oil began to appear on the ground. I took the vehicle back. I was charged $163. Oo for diagnostic but never given a invoice address the issue except to say check engine light was on with code po 1113. Po11c and po 171. They replaced something but only gave a receipt for a diagnosis. Then I received a month later, a notice about an evaporative emisson vapor vent tube. I believe I should receive the money returned for the diagnosis because it was the error of the dealership and I need a copy of the work performed for my records; which was not provided except what was mentioned above.

The failure mileage was 51,000.

44 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 02/01/2017

Vehicle experienced odor of raw gasoline in ventilation system to passenger compartment while vehicle was on, particularly after startup. This odor could also be smelled on the exterior of the vehicle. Vehicle was taken to dealer and it was determined that a fuel pressure sensor leak was the problem and performed repair. After the vehicle was repaired, a web search showed that this same problem had a safety recall on this same vehicle (12v-069), but this vehicle just "out of the VIN range" for the recall. The safety recall should be extended and owners advised of this safety issue that may occur, potentially causing a fire.

45 Other Fuel System problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 11/15/2016

The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 90,000.

47 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 10/27/2016

There's been a fuel leak from the fuel rail sensor after the recall was performed. It is concerning that Nissan would not cover the cost of this leak even though they say they performed the recall and repair the problem they did not replace the fuel sensor gasket when doing so which I believe caused the current leak. This seems to be a reoccurring problem and feel Nissan should take care of such a risky fuel problem just above the starter that could cause a spark.

48 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 09/16/2016

Several times my 2011 Nissan Juke sl awd has lost significant power. Every time it happened speed dropped to approx. 20mph. These were also on interstate drives where quick deceleration is very dangerous. It is my understanding that Nissan did recall Jukes with the same issue but my vehicle was not included. I have read many complaints on, the internet, about the same problem and those people were not included in the recall. I would appreciate consideration of investigation into possible extension of the recall. Thank you.

49 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 08/17/2016

My 2011 Nissan Juke has been sitting in austin TX. Waiting to be towed from clay cooley Nissan. The motor has been rendered unfixable due to sludge from the engine. The Juke was recalled for a timing chain replacement on Dec 16,2015 at mileage 96,133. In their report it states that due to the timing chain having been stretched and rubbed into the side of the engine and timing cover;aluminum shavings from the block soaked in oil from the leak the chain created, is the reason the engine was malfunctioning this time around. It was only "patched and not fixed" states the mechanic from ed hicks Nissan. I purchased the extended warranty for 100,000 miles and at 108,000 miles the engine blows and Nissan does not want to claim responsibility for the damage. I took care of my car since it is all I have and believed in Nissan mechanics when they said it was fixed and ready. Not having my vehicle has caused so much stress in my life. It has been since 8/17/2016 that I have been dealing with Nissan corporate and there consumer affairs department. It seems at this time they do not want to communicate with me anymore. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

53 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 03/22/2016

I am very angry. . I wish I had done my research before purchasing my 2013 Nissan Juke. The extended warranty is a joke. My son and I were nearly in an accident on the highway due to the faulty turbo. The car began to decelerate and went from 65mph to below 20mph. Nissan is declining the claim. I even submitted proof of oil changes and etc. . . I have registered a complaint to Nissan since this has happened, I did research. Juke's from 2011-2014 have turbo issues. How can all these people be wrong?? the 1st time, happened in March. I took it in to the shop and they 'repaired" the car. Then it happened again. This time they are saying it is the turbo. . I registered a complaint with Nissan case #22368872 they said they will call me tomorrow. I need this resolved. It is very scary and dangerous.

54 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 03/01/2016

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that the vehicle leaked fuel vapor inside the vehicle through the vents and leaked fuel onto the ground on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to be repaired under a recall, but the issue recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The VIN, NHTSA campaign number, and failure mileage were unknown.

55 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 02/12/2016

There were 2 recalls on my car and I was never notified of the problems the, fuel pressure sensor and the Juke air inlet tube. I was driving down the highway , and I just had a larger problem with my power stirring, I was in the high speed lane traveling 70 miles an hour and my power stirring let go. I called Nissan of America to see if there were any re-calls on my car and I was told no, my car has been tied up at tasca Nissan in dartmouth, MA for more than 1 week, I was told the part would be in Feb 22. . Nissan offered to pay for the part which cost 1,908. 29. But I have to pay for the shipping cost which cost 120. 00dollars and I have to pay for the labor cost which is 480. 00 dollars I am frustrated and angry, know one seems to care that I could of got killed or seriously injured in this car. Now I find out there were 2 re-calls on this car and I was never notified! I service my car regularly, I just spent over 800. 00 dollars for new tires, wiper blades, oil change replacement of a tire sensor and I am renting a car at the present. . I noticed in my research that the rogue is being called back for power stirring problems, what the hell is going on? as far as the power stirring repair my warranty ran out, I feel this was a defect in the power stirring, but I am expected to pay for the repairs. I do have a case # it is 21635903 and I spoke with a man named jim his # is 615-725-7254. Tasca of dartmouth have been wonderful, they even tried to get the cost to me lowered but it fell on deaf ears. , they also told me they would not let me drive my car because it was to dangerous for me to drive, at least they cared about my safety, thank god. I am a 63y/o female who works hard for my money, but I guess I am going to have to eat this bill!.

56 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 12/21/2015

Extend the fuel pressure sensor recall. . . . I have a strong gasoline smell in cabin. While car is [parked or driving] and engine is running, the air conditioning and/or heat is on a extremely strong gasoline smell fills the cabin and can suffocate you and your passengers. Worst when air is coming in from outside and not reusing the cabins air. Mechanic couldn't find any leaks and told me about a recall on Jukes. My Juke is not apart of the recall and is having the same problems as the fuel pressure sensor recall because of improper tightening. There are many complaints on forums online with people not being on the recall that have this problem.

57 Other Fuel System problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 12/14/2015

Strong gas odor in car coming from air vents fuel pressure regulator was re torque under a recall. No visible leak gas odor under the hood also. Strong odor under hood. Nissan will not cover they say they already repaired part alone is$ 800. 00 and wont even look at it with out charging me had it independently verified bye a qualified mechanic.

58 Other Fuel System problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 10/07/2015

Noticed gasoline smell in car; smell got progressively worse. Fuel found leaking under car. Car taken to mechanic. Mechanic investigated leak and Nissan Juke recalls. Mechanic found fuel leak under intake -see recall 14v683. Nissan says not covered by recall. Intake removed and found the fuel pressure sensor not adequately torqued. Touched with wrench an spewed fuel. Then turned off by hand. Matches the symptoms of the recall exactly.

59 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 10/05/2015

Strong fuel smell inside cabin and outside of car every time car is running, along with significantly reduced mpg (~18 city - 20hwy).

60 Other Fuel System problem of the 2014 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 07/21/2015

My Juke has been dececlerating while in highway doing 75mph and has been jumping gears which all had been a problem since purchasing the car and was not found until today that the entire valve body control in the transmission which controls cvt needs to be replaced. This is a safety issue that should have been recalled as my car is 4 years old and should not have this problem with less then 130000 miles. I had extended warranty until 120000 and continuously reported this to dealership during each service which they never could diagnose and found today telling me the cost to fix it and replace and resolve these issues is over $1800. My Juke has had several problems on top of these issues all to do with safety over the years and several similar complaints have been reported and not recalled by Nissan which is unacceptable, unsafe, and a legal issue which I will possibly be pursuing due to the several accidents I have also experienced throughout the years which these problems were also present and not resolved due to no safety recalls being on file with Nissan. My car has also shut off twice while in traffic and stopped accelerating on highway several times almost causing accidents. Other owners have reported these same issues and no recalls have been done although the Juke also stopped being made in 2015 right after I purchased mine brand new. I have kept up on all routine maintenance throughout the years and fees that these issues are unacceptable, unsafe, and all which I will be reporting to better business heresy, Nissan, and exploring legal case if Nissan does not look into recalling these several safety hazards on the 2014-2015 Jukes, including my Juke. I want a resolution and not to have to pay for these safety concerns that should have been recalled and resolved and still have not been to this date of today where issue was identified, see attachment.

61 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 01/28/2015

The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the contact noticed fumes and a strong fuel odor emitting from the air vents. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 12v069000 (fuel system, gasoline). The failure mileage was 54,000.

62 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 01/21/2015

On wed, January 21, 2015, I arrived home around 7pm and went inside. I was not in the house 5 minutes when I heard a massive explosion in my driveway. I then saw a bright orange glow outside my window, which was my car engulfed in flames. The fire dept suppressed the fire and that night I called my insurance company to report the incident. The car (a lease), was incinerated and deemed a total loss by the insurance adjuster. My insurance paid off the car to the leasing company. When I researched this issue, I saw a letter the NHTSA sent to Nissan north America regarding a loose fuel pressure sensor in my 2013 Juke and prompted them to issue recalls. That letter was dated Dec 8, 2014. My car was, in fact, on the recall list and I finally got my letter one week after the incident. Nissan was very slow to inform their customers of a very serious and potentially fatal issue. Nissan corporate did an investigation on my car and focused on the fuel pressure sensor. After 1 month of waiting for them to contact me, they called me wed, February 25th, 2015 telling me that the fuel pressure sensor was not the issue, however they are not able to pinpoint what exactly did happen. They admit that no external factors could have contributed to this fire and that it was, indeed, an issue with the car. The only thing they said they could do for me was offer a discount on a new Nissan, however I told them I would never drive another Nissan, especially since they aren't sure what made the car blow up. I know in my heart the fuel pressure sensor was to blame. Why else would my car be engulfed in an obvious fuel fire in my driveway. I find it horrible that they are not accepting responsibility for their faulty engineering. You may want to look more into this since they "don't know what caused it". Also, they said they could not release the report to me as it's Nissan's property.

63 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 01/12/2015

I had noticed fuel smell inside cabin for some time. After some research, I realized this was related to a recall that apparently had already been done to the vehicle. I dropped the car at local dealer and after service department denied smelling fuel or detecting any leaks, many phone calls and another visit to show them it really smelled like fuel inside, it was eventually fixed free of charge even though warranty was expired. The invoice sheet states fuel pressure sensor was loose and was re-tightened per bulletin.

64 Other Fuel System problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 12/17/2014

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that there was an odor of fuel coming from the inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. 65 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 12/01/2014

Starting approximately 12/1/2014, we began to notice a strong smell of gasoline in the passenger compartment within minutes of starting the vehicle. The smell would diminish as the car warmed up, but would not go away completely. We contacted the local dealer service dept. , and were told there was a recall on this issue. Upon taking the car in to be serviced, they confirmed the fuel leak was from the fuel rail pressure sensor, which is the precise problem which prompted the recall campaign. On further investigation, they determined the recall service (technical bulletin reference ntb12-021b) had already been performed on this VIN, and Nissan would not cover the repair at this point. Nissan's recall campaign id# is r1201, NHTSA#12v-069. It appears, at least in this case, the recall service was ineffective in correcting or preventing the fuel leak issue, making it possible that all affected vehicles may still be prone to this fuel leak problem . Nissan customer relations further stated they did not consider an engine compartment fuel leak to be a safety issue. I strongly believe an "increased risk of a fire" is a safety issue and Nissan should still be liable to correct an inherent safety vulnerability in their vehicles.

66 Other Fuel System problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 10/22/2014

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that the fuel indicator illuminated.
