6 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2017 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 01/15/2020

Approx 1:00 p. M. I pulled into the wendy's drive through and the line was wrapped around the building. There was a large like Ford truck in front of me. I sat there maybe 1 min and I thought felt my car jump (and I thought what was that), then the truck pulled up and the second I removed my foot from the brake, my car felt like an airplane and I plowed into the truck in front of me (I had no control). My car kept going until he it knocked him out of the line of the drive through line and my car kept going across the parking lot then up onto the curb, but it stopped before hitting a tree. I was terrorized. I had the brakes pushed down to the floor and it felt like they were in something soft, nothing happened. Called the police and filed a report, called state farm to start the claim. I first called lee Nissan to tell them what happened, and talked with patrick in service. He had notes that everytime I came in I told about the car lunging. State farm set up the car to go to capital Ford next door and set up a rental car. I was a mess. While on the phone in the parking lot a gentleman parked by me came and told me he had the same thing happen to his Nissan versa (the car he was driving), he talked to state farm, and said Nissan had file about his situation but it happened just like me. Orlando b 2019 versa note master cylinder failure 804-818-6711. Called lee Nissan and talked with doug that sold me the car, I had taken the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper coverage including oil changes. Told him what happened and I was afraid of the car. Will talk once capital Ford and Nissan finish their research. Called Nissan customer affairs they set up a file and escalated the file and assigned 38592070. Police file is p20002887 raleigh police department officer p. D. Matthews.

8 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 11/05/2019

When driving for 40 minutes or more, going 60 mph or higher, car will lose speed and eventually stop. No lights will come on and no warning. Gas pedal will hit floor but there will be no acceleration. Seems like turning off the car for 20 minutes or more will reboot it, but only for a short time period. This happens mostly on highways, not on smaller roads as stated previously you must be driving for at least 40 minutes or more going at least 60 mph or higher. Went to dealership and said it was a bad drive shift but unknown reason as to what caused it. Never had problems before this.

Failure Date: 09/09/2019

While driving on the interstate, the car slows down and will not accelerate. If I press the gas to get out of the way of on coming traffic the car skips and does not go over 40 mph. I try to get to the far lane in hope's of not being hit. I turn the car off and try to start it again and the engine light comes on, try again to start it and it slowly moves until it gains speed and I keep my hazards on, engine light goes off and it has been doing this periodically ever since.

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle independently decelerated to 40 mph. The accelerator pedal was depressed in an attempt to regain speed, but it failed to function. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact called bedford Nissan (18115 rockside rd, bedford, OH 44146) and was informed that she could drop off the vehicle. The dealer was unaware as to when the vehicle would be diagnosed and there were no loaners available for the contact. The vehicle was currently parked at the contact's home. A month before the failure, when attempting to accelerate, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. 17 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2013 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 07/14/2017

I am a frustrated owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke sl. I am the first and only owner. At about 20k miles, I took the car in for its regularly scheduled maintenance and complained that the vehicle was noises while driving on the highway. I was given, what I know now to be the textbook response, I'm sorry we drove the car and could not duplicate the issue you're complaining about. 30k miles, I took the car in for its regularly maintenance with the following complaint: the car is extremely noises on the highway that I can barely hear my music, thus I have to appear obnoxious to surrounding drivers because my music is louder than theirs, so that I can hear it over the noise coming from under my hood which sounds like an airplane. Furthermore, when I step on the gas pedal to increase speed, the car is slow to respond. Once again, Nissan claims they are not able to pinpoint the issue. 45k miles, the car goes in for its regularly maintenance with the following complaint: while driving on the highway for 3 hours, the car will loose powerit is still noises as all hell, but the car will slow down without warning. I have been high beamed and honked at. This is dangerous to me, my passengers and other drivers on the road. The car doesn't overheat and all fluid levels are fine. Once again, Nissan claims they are not able to pinpoint the issue. This past weekend, I am doing my 4. 5 hour road trip again in Nissan's deathtrap they have fondly nicknamed Juke. Like clock work, after 3 hours on the highway, the car starts to slowdown, I called Nissan while it was happening, but he can barely hear me over the loud noise (jet engine sound emitting from under my hood). I took the car into Nissan who could not do anything because they don't look into problems like this on the weekend.

18 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2014 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 04/22/2017

While driving my 2014 Nissan Juke it went from 70 to 20 on the interstate and I was almost ran over by large trucks that were unable to stop. This has happened multiple times. While driving to work this time, it dropped in speed again and the rpms went over 6 but the car would not move. I push the gas to the floor and nothing happens. I am afraid to drive my car home from work due to impending death concerns.

19 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 10/09/2016

Cvt - rapid loss of power (85 to 50 almost immediately) while on the freeway. Almost rear ended due to continued loss of speed while trying to get off the freeway to the side of the road. Had to sit on the side of the road for more than 30 minutes for the vehicle to cool down before I could resume my trip. Service engine soon light also came on.

20 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 09/16/2016

Several times my 2011 Nissan Juke sl awd has lost significant power. Every time it happened speed dropped to approx. 20mph. These were also on interstate drives where quick deceleration is very dangerous. It is my understanding that Nissan did recall Jukes with the same issue but my vehicle was not included. I have read many complaints on, the internet, about the same problem and those people were not included in the recall. I would appreciate consideration of investigation into possible extension of the recall. Thank you.

21 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 09/01/2016

Recall 11v583000 does not include my VIN. All 2011 Nissan Juke should be included in the recall. My turbo currently needs replaced due to a worn bearing. Several people online have to replace their turbos in their 2011 Jukes at a cost of $2800.

22 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2012 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 09/08/2014

I was highway driving today and all of a sudden lost the torque and power of my car. It just coasted along and wouldnt accelerate. I moved into the right lane and it just slowed me down about 10 mph slower than I was driving. This lasted for about 15-20 mins and then it slowly regained power.

23 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2011 Nissan Juke

Failure Date: 04/28/2014

I have a 2011 Nissan Juke ( purchased brand new) when driving home from work the car started to idle weird and then just died in the middle of the road. Thank god I wasn't hit by anyone or in a major accident. Towed it a to Nissan dealership where there told me the timing chain belt broke and had to be replaced. The dealership called me the next morning stating that Nissan was aware of the timing chain issue and that they were issuing a recall for this very problem, so there would be no cost to me. After a week of my car being at the Nissan dealership, they called and said the car was repaired and good to go! I picked the car up and attempted to drive home but never made it out of the parking lot! Juke did the same exact thing it did when I originally had it towed in! the Juke went back into the shop that night. Next morning the service manager from Nissan calls to tell me that due to the timing chain issue metal shaving have now gotten into my engine causing damage to the point that the entire engine has to be replaced! since it was due to the recall, it will be of no cost to me. . . However Nissan cannot guarantee that the new engine won't have the same issues?!!? are you kidding me? and this is not the first issue with this Juke! first month I had it the entire rear differential had to be replaced! I also had to replace the alternator after it failed. . . . . Plus numerous battery issues, and the car is less than 3 years old! after further research I found out there is a class action law suit against Nissan right now as they were aware of these issues and did nothing about it! how is that possible? or legal? come on, Nissan! get it together. Safety should be your #1 priority. . . . But apparently concealing potentially life threatening recalls is more important. To say the least, I will never, ever, buy another Nissan, and neither should you or anyone you care about.
