Vehicle will not go forward when accelerating, the vehicle does go in reverse. It is available for inspection at Nissan vacaville. It is a safety risk as I was driving, it stalled in turning lane on street and wouldn't go. I had to have it put in neutral so I could get it to a safe location so I could have it towed to my residence. I have a service report saying that there's a faulty piece in the transmission by Nissan in vacaville. No indication that there were any issues to the vehicle when I took it for service on Saturday 2/28/26. No lights came on the car or anything that would warrant an issue.

To whom it may concern: I am writing to express my concern regarding the recurring issues with the safety cameras on my 2026 Nissan Kicks, which were purchased on [xxx]. Despite multiple visits to the dealership for repairs and replacements, the problem persists. Initially, the cameras were not functioning properly on [xxx], and subsequent visits to the dealership on February 21st, February 28th, and March 3rd did not resolve the issue. The dealership's attempts to reset the camera, replace the camera, and change the module, respectively, have been unsuccessful. On March 3rd, I spoke with service manager mac regarding the ongoing issue, and he informed me that there is no solution to fix the problem. Mac advised me to contact Nissan's manufacturing department for assistance. I subsequently contacted Nissan's compliance department and opened a case with case number #[xxx]. They indicated that someone would contact me within 10 days to discuss a potential solution. Given that we have only had the vehicle for three weeks, I am disappointed that we are still experiencing this issue and that no resolution has been found. I would appreciate any further assistance or guidance from the dealership or Nissan's manufacturing department to ensure that the safety cameras are functioning properly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

On Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 6:41am, I was going to starbucks located at 5378 w. Rosecrans Ave hawthorne, CA 90250. My partner and I were talking, I was just about to exit to get my coffee then we heard a loud “pop” like a gun shot, and then the sound of shattering glass. We jumped, frighted, startled by the sound, immediately looking over at the back seat of my car window. We both exited the car, a man who was outside of the front of my car (just walking by coming out of starbucks) heard the same sound, he exclaimed “what was that a gun shot?”, we both thought it was an active shooter! I ducked and took cover. I was scared for my life. I noticed a women exiting her car across from mine, assumed it was safe. I asked her if she saw anything. She seen I was shaking up, and my window was shattered. She did not see anything. She asked if we needed assistance to contact the police department. Starbucks employees and witnesses assisted as we were unsure as to what was going on, and worried. I suffer from epilepsy and asthma and I have health problems. It was a lot to take in at that moment; my partner was concerned for me as I was for him. The thoughts of being killed kept running through our minds, and so thankful to be alive, we were completely traumatized! we had to get.
I was driving to work around 3:15 am on 1/20/26 when my back windshield exploded! there was no warning. I did have my defrost on. I thought someone had shot or thrown something at my car. I called the service department at my dealership and even spoke the service manager. He recommended that I speak with consumer affairs, which I did. I was told to file and insurance claim. Not only that, my window cannot be replaced with an identical window. Mine was tinted from the factory and they do not sell that window. I'll have to pay even more to have my window tinted to match the rest of the car. I did google this subject and I see that many Nissan vehicle owners have had the same thing happen to their cars. Also I see where a class action lawsuit has been opened. I want Nissan to take responsibility. I was driving on a bridge in the dark - the noise it made was loud.
While coming from the grocery store to my apartment I heard a loud pop and I saw thru my mirror that my rear window was shattered. I. Stop on the next block and park to see if someone or something hit my window but nothing. . . I noticed on the side of the sorroundi window the window was separated from the window frame. . . I did some researched and found out it has happen to other Nissan owners . . . . I will be contacting my Nissan dealer to see if they will repair it for free. . . I can't drive it because the window can fall to the street. . . I can't put no plastic around it because its been raining all this weeknd. . . . This happen on Friday the 16, 2026 around 430pm.
Back glass shattered while sitting under the carport. It was around 30 degrees outside when it happened. No rock or bullet hole.
The rear body vent seal failed, allowing water to enter the vehicle interior. This component is available for inspection. I noticed a sloshing water sound, and over time there was excess interior moisture, including repeated interior window frosting that required scraping for visibility. A Nissan dealership later confirmed water intrusion and interior mold contamination affecting the driver-side floor, rear seating area, and trunk. The presence of mold inside the cabin poses a health risk to occupants, and ongoing water intrusion creates a potential risk to vehicle electrical systems and other components. The issue was confirmed by a Nissan dealership through inspection and diagnosis. The vehicle has been inspected by Nissan service personnel. No police or insurance inspection was related to this issue. There were no warning lamps, messages, or alerts indicating water intrusion prior to discovery. The only symptom was the sloshing water sound, which prompted inspection.
Apple play/radio do not turn on once the car is started. I brought it to the dealer and was told that there were no updates available at this time and I would have to replace the unit.

My 2019 Nissan Kicks experienced a sudden and dangerous cvt transmission failure. The vehicle began jerking, struggled to accelerate, and at times would not move forward when pressing the gas. The check engine light came on during these incidents. The car also revs without engaging properly and loses power unexpectedly, creating a serious hazard when merging into traffic or crossing intersections. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Nissan cvt units. The sudden loss of acceleration and unpredictable behavior create a significant safety risk for myself and other drivers. Nissan has denied goodwill assistance for the repair, even though this failure occurred under normal driving conditions. I am submitting this complaint for safety review due to the potential risk of collision.

While driving the car seems to be stalling, slowing down while I’m driving. The car feels like it doesn’t want to go up to a fast speed on the highway. I feel uncomfortable and unsafe that the car will stop instantly on the highway and cause me to crash. So that is why I’m reporting this because it’s unsafe. Secondly the left driver side window goes up in down while I’m driving. This also makes me feel uncomfortable while driving.
I own a 2020 Nissan Kicks and have experienced recurring and unpredictable electrical and system malfunctions while driving. At times, a "malfunction, see owner's manual" warning appears on the dashboard, accompanied by multiple warning lights including: forward collision warning slippery road / traction control warning. Occasionally, the high beam headlights turn on by themselves, and I have noticed that the malfunction also leads to the engine stalling when I switch to reverse to park my car. These warnings appear randomly, about a few times a month, while driving under normal conditions. The issue usually resolves temporarily after restarting the vehicle, but this raises serious concerns about the reliability of key safety systems such as traction control, collision avoidance, and issues with the engine itself. On several occasions, the check engine light (cel) accompanied these other warning lights during the "malfunction" and the cel remained on even after a restart. A diagnostic scan revealed p0101 (mass air flow sensor performance issue). However, when I had the vehicle inspected at a Nissan dealership, the technicians stated that the maf sensor and related systems were operating correctly, and they could not identify a specific mechanical issue. Despite that, the cel and other malfunctions continue to occur intermittently. They were also not able to recreate the situation I explained with the malfunction since it occurs at random times. This issue has happened multiple times and creates uncertainty about whether the vehicle is safe to operate. I have found numerous reports online from other Nissan Kicks owners experiencing the same combination of issues (p0101, engine stalling, random warning lights, and vehicle malfunctions that reset upon restart). I have attached a repair invoice from the dealership. Just recently on 6/22, this happened again as I was driving at night. When I went to park my car, the engine stalled again. I attached a dashboard photo.

This suggests it may be a systemic electrical or ecu problem, not isolated to my car. I urge the NHTSA to investigate whether this issue warrants a recall, software update, or mandatory fix. It undermines the safe and reliable operation of the vehicle.
I was driving at a speed of 32 no other cars around. All of a sudden I hear some buzzing and feel vibration, and I see a hazard icon in the dash flashing. It was a white triangle outlined in red with a red exclamation mark inside of the triangle. The car slowed dramatically almost stopping as the alarm or buzzing sounded. Then all at once the alarm stopped and the car resumed speed.
P0101 mass air flow sensor code keeping appearing after repairing it. It causes the car to stall and shut off frequently on its own.

Replaced the mass air flow sensor bought from Nissan dealership due to code p0101. After replacement the warning light went off for one day. Now back on. Dealership said it’s an after market part and that they don’t sell after market parts. The part in question was bought from the dealer. Researching online revealed that this is a common problem. That dealerships are aware of this yet won’t fix. They try to sell the customer unneeded additional services.
My car has repeatedly stalled while in motion. •no warning lights appear on the dashboard before or after stalling. •the most recent incident occurred in front of a moving car, putting you and your family at risk. •luckily, no one was injured, but this continues to be a serious safety hazard. •this problem has happened before, meaning it is a recurring mechanical defect. I’ve reported this issue to Nissan, but they are refusing to acknowledge it. •you have not received any recall notices despite this being a major safety concern. •Nissan has not provided a fix or meaningful response regarding the stalling issue. There have been no dashboard warning lights to indicate when something is wrong. •the car has had multiple mechanical issues, but you haven’t received proper support from Nissan. •Nissan has been unresponsive or dismissive about the recurring defects.
Drivers door won't open from inside or outside I can climb out passenger seat when this happens and use the key to manually unlock door this happens quite often.
Dear mr / madam I purchased a brand-new Nissan SUV on January 13, 2025, but I have encountered serious quality issues since the day I took delivery of the vehicle. The specific problems are as follows: wiper washer malfunction: on the day of delivery, I discovered that the vehicle's wiper washer system was faulty. The washer fluid was frozen, making it unusable. Front windshield crack: on January 28, 2025, I noticed a curved crack approximately 7 to 8 inches long on the inside of the front windshield, directly in the driver's field of vision. This crack is clearly visible in sunlight, and when touching the interior side of the glass, it can be distinctly felt. At that time, the vehicle's mileage was 364 miles. After inspection, it was confirmed that the vehicle had not been involved in any collisions. I reported this issue to Nissan sales on February 1, 2025. Nissan company conducted an inspection, confirmed the presence of the crack, and stated that the vehicle had not experienced any impact. However, nearly a month has passed, and Nissan has yet to provide a clear resolution. I am deeply concerned about whether this crack poses a safety risk while driving, particularly whether the windshield might shatter unexpectedly during operation. I do not know if this constitutes a serious safety hazard, nor can I determine whether the glass will suddenly break in the future. This uncertainty is causing me significant anxiety. Since Nissan has not yet provided a timely solution, I feel compelled to formally lodge this complaint with NHTSA. I sincerely hope that Nissan will promptly address this issue and provide an appropriate resolution. Thank you! sincerely,.

To the new york city department of transportation (dot): I picked up a new car on January 11, and on January 28, I discovered a 10-inch crack on the inside of the front windshield. On February 1, I took the vehicle to a Nissan service center for inspection, and they confirmed the presence of another crack. As a vehicle manufacturer, Nissan should have the professional equipment necessary to inspect the windshield for cracks. However, since I filed my complaint with Nissan on February 1, it has now been over 20 days, and I have yet to receive any resolution or formal response. I cannot help but wonder—is Nissan intentionally delaying this matter to avoid responsibility? if Nissan does not have the proper inspection equipment, I propose that the new york state department of motor vehicles (nysdmv) conduct an official inspection to determine the facts. Additionally, on the morning after I picked up the car on January 11 I found that the windshield washer fluid was not spraying. Upon checking, I discovered that the washer fluid reservoir was completely frozen. When I reported this issue to the Nissan sales staff, I was told, “Nissan’s washer fluid is like this—it will work once the car warms up. ” this response is unacceptable. Is this really the standard for delivering a new Nissan vehicle? I am filing this complaint with dot today because I am deeply concerned about the safety risks posed by the cracked windshield. In addition to the initial crack, I have now discovered another crack about 2 inches long near the first one. If this issue is not resolved promptly, it could pose a serious safety hazard. I urge dot to take this matter seriously and push Nissan to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure consumer safety, preventing any potential accidents. I appreciate dot’s attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Thank you.
1. Maf sensor replaced 3 times within a few months of replacing each time. (took it to the Nissan dealership multiple times and all they do is replace it without further diagnosing as to why) 2. Replaced the transmission in March 2025 (Nissan wanted to charge me ($8300. 00). I took it to glen burnie transmission ($5708. 00) 3. Replaced the alternator on 7 June 2025. 4. Vehicle has been hesitating and stalling while driving. 5. Vehicle doesn't want to start when I push the button and put my foot on the brake pedal. 6. Power steering issues (the steering wheel goes loose at times when I make turns or while trying to back up and then the vehicle stalls and then accelerates on it's own. 7. Vehicle is making a clicking sound. *vehicle is currently at firestone being diagnosed for the issues 4-7 mentioned above. *I stopped taking it to Nissan because they charge way to much for these issues that seem to be a constant issue but won't due any recalls on the 2020 Kicks. Vehicle purchased in may 2020. I will have to provide the repair receipts once I get the vehicle back from firestone because all of the documents are in the vehicle.
Aloha, TSB ntb22-028 and ntb23?018, March 2023 clearly a defect pattern in the infotainment system. Audio distorts and navigation screens freezes which could result in an accident. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs case # xxx. It was escalated to an area manager who recommended I reach out to NHTSA. Nissan is only willing to cover 50% of the cost to replace the infotainment system. Hopefully by sending this complaint form it will help having the whole cost covered. I purchased a 2024 Nissan Kicks from courtesy Nissan of tampa ( florida) on 7/6/2024. I have 4011 miles on this vehicle. I should preface this letter with letting it be known that I have owned in the past a Nissan 1998 frontier prick up/ 2004 xterra, a 2012 sentra, 2014 crew cab frontier pu, a 2019 crew cab frontier pu , a 2019 Nissan Kicks - none of these vehicles have had the issue I currently have with this new car. It is a bit difficult to describe -so bear with me. The area where you put the gas pump nozzle into he the gas tank opening is loose. It moves when filling up the tank. I have never had this issue with any of the other Nissans I have owned. I took this car back to the dealer ship on Saturday 9/14 to have this checked out. I was told that this is not uncommon. I beg to differ with this perspective. I was told the mechanic " went to several other Nissans and found that they too moved" well as I was sitting looking into the bay where my car was up on the rack watching the 2 people that were looking under my car - I did not see either of these 2 go anywhere. I believe that this is a dangerous situation as gas could spill over into this area and cause a fire if it hit a hot area under my car. I feel that the dealership was very indifferent to this possibility. As I was watching these 2 people in the mechanic bay - I did a little googling.
While driving my 2024 Nissan Kicks, I experienced an unexpected issue where the vehicle shifted from park to reverse. As usual, the doors automatically unlocked when I pulled up, and I exited the vehicle. However, just as I stepped out and turned away, the car unexpectedly jumped from park into reverse, causing critical injury to me. I have obtained an attorney.
Pc solenoid b car reduces power & hesitates while driving.
Hello, this has happened multiple times within a year & a half of having the vehicle (bought in Jan 2023) where the front collision warning will randomly go off during anytime of the day, even at night. I have also had all the side collision warnings just stay yellow in the screen while driving. Just recently when I was driving in the mountains of GA, I had everything go off & the "forward driving aids temporarily disabled. ".
I have had a dispute with the greensboro Nissan. . I had an issue with all of my lights coming on on my dashboard, my car started vibrating and cut off while I was in traffic. I immediately scheduled a service visit for 5/9 I had the diagnostics checked on my vehicle and was informed it was my mass air flow filter & sensor. I planned to come back the next week to get the repair done and was told that they tried a temporary reset since I didn't plan to do the service that day but it may not last long. I was about 2 miles away from the dealership when my car did the same thing and cut off again. I called to take my car back and they did go out of their way to help me get a rental car while my car was being repaired. I was told that diagnostics were ran again and it was giving the same code for the sensor & filter. I picked up my car 5/13 and was told that the repairs were done. I was told that my car was put on diagnostics again and checked but no other codes came up. On 5/21 my car dashboard lit up and cut off again so I scheduled an appointment for 5/22. This is where it gets interesting, because I was told that my car was put on diagnostics again and the same readings came up again but it was the throttle body. However, this time I was told that the tech that performed the check on my vehicle stated that the reading about the throttle body was there before but he didn't mention it because it was a more expensive repair (so to speak). I asked why wasn't it listed on my paperwork as far as the diagnosis when I came the last time and no other explanation was given. It even stated on my receipt that the maf sen/circuit were running properly and that no trash was found in them at that time. Now I am stuck worrying if my vehicle is going to stop on me again. I researched it on the internet and apparently I am not the only person this has happened to. Is there a way that I can I get help to resolve this issue and have it investigated? thank you.
While driving all the lights come on with a warning that states "malfunction see owners manual" dealership said it needed a battery, replaced the battery and all the lights continues to come on. Abs, crash lights, check engine and other ones. Along with the high beam lights. Can't turn them off without pulling over and restarting the car.
I was sitting at a light during rush hour with my kids. The light turned green, but nothing happened when I pushed the car accelerator. I put my flashers on and tried not to panic. I put the car in park, turned it off, then turned it back on. The car worked properly and I was able to be move out of the intersection to the side of the road. Oil and engine appeared normal and there were no noises signaling an issue. I called Nissan and drove it to the dealership to submit it for repairs. The dealership reviewed it and tested it for two days only to tell me their computer couldn’t detect a problem. They also told me that the issue was under engineer review, and did not have any fixes currently. They told me they couldn’t do anything, and I could come get my car. This was my family car and I do not feel safe driving it anymore. My car is less than six months old and had less than ten thousand miles on it. It shouldn’t be stalling and leaving my kids and I stopped in the middle of the road.
Nissan Kicks stalls at red lights so that I have to completely shut down the car open the driver door and restart the engine to get it to move. The engine, oil, and the battery lights all turn on before the engine shuts down and sometimes it is others (as pictured below)that can appear. Car starts to tremble after it happens. Been to check it out and nothing came upon it, still happening several times.
While driving the car with not weather events, at regular highway speeds the instrument panel began showing a variety of warning symbols the instrument panel contains the following warning lights: master warning light, abs warning light, aeb system warning light, slip indicator light, and a written warning panel instructing to see the owner's manual for a malfunction. There is also a front collision icon visible. These lights used to come on and off sporadically but now stay on the entire time the car is turned on. I have read literally hundreds of complaints from kick's owners stating that their dealerships either: say that it is a known issue without a solution. Say they have been provided a guide to find the solution. Say they know what needs to be done to correct the problem. In every single instance, when the Kicks owner agrees to have repairs/part replacements done, the problem returns. Often, the very next day. The lack of a proven fix for this problem is so wide spread that many people, myself included, are not letting the dealerships make the suggested repairs/ replacements because the cost of allowing what is essentially useless troubleshooting is very high. Typical "solutions" are to change the battery, replace the abs module, clean or replace the mass air flow sensor, clean front or rear collision sensors, replace throttle body, replace throttle body gasket. . . . . Because this problem is very well known in owner, dealer, mechanic, reddit etc forums, affects thousands of vehicles and relates to critical safety components, I believe an investigation, recall is warranted. There is no way to be sure the anti-lock or emergency braking system will work when needed. How is this allowable? for reference, my 2019 Nissan Kicks has fewer than 15,000 miles and has never been in an accident.
I was driving in traffic in a 30mph zone and my car turned off, and I was unable to push down on the brakes. I had to use my emergency brake a could hardly turn my wheel and stop in the center divider of the road. I turned on my hazards and waited 15 minutes and was able to restart the car a drive home. This was very dangerous and could have caused an accident.
While driving straight and I have a green light if the traffic in the left turn lane stops for on coming traffic to clear my vehicle brakes as if the car in the other lane is in front of me not to the side of me. I am afraid I will get rear ended one of these times from my vehicle slamming on the brakes when there is no reason to do so. This has been happening since I bought the vehicle, since my previous vehicle didn't have these new features being 20 years old I didn't know what to think at first. But it has been a year now and it's not me, there is something wrong that could end up being deadly. I have only noticed it happening when the vehicle in the left turn lane stops and I am in the next lane going straight. I have an appointment at the dealership next week but the service advisor acted like he had never heard of this issue when I see it has been well documented on other Nissan models and model years.
