1 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2011

When vehicle was purchased I noticed power seat was tilting sideways when adjusting. My toddler was able to push with both feet hard enough to make the seat lean sideways as well. God forbid I get into an accident!! took into Nissan dealership who in turn explained this was part of the trim package since it was a power seat, even though it is a metal part with no electronic function. Total cost to replace this little bracket, just a mere $1,600. I'm sure this malfunction has been the cause of major injuries and may have even costs lives. A recall would be nice Nissan! way to go show concern and back your product, I will never buy a Nissan again.

2 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2010

The 8-way power seat first stopped moving the inner left side (closest to the seat back) of the driver's seat (effectively making the power seat non-functional); the seat later started moving, rocking, slightly forward, noticeably (and unfortunately) during braking.

2003 Nissan Murano sl awd driver power seat problem. It only moves one side. Right side of the seat moves while left side remains still. Failure in moving fwd and back on left side track or rail.

4 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2007

2003 Nissan Murano. Consumer states engine abruptly shut off and the vehicle lost all power. The consumer was able to gradually steer the vehicle to the emergency lane. After numerous attempts, he was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and a diagnostic test revealed fuel pump failure. The consumer stated this was not the first time the engine abruptly shut off. The first incident happened in July 2007. But, the vehicle was restarted and was taken to the dealer, but they were unable to find a problem. Prior to the first two incidents, the engine stalled on may 10, 2010. After numerous attempts, the consumer was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they determined the crank sensor was faulty. The consumer stated there have been other repairs such alternator failure, the passenger door locks routinely malfunctioned during extreme heat, the driver's power seat malfunctioned, the motor mounts were cracked, the axles were loose, and the intake hose failed.

5 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2007

Power driver seat bracket broke in left rear of seat. Nothing other than every day use of getting in and out of car. Seat had been adjusted very little. The dealer said there was nothing they could do to fix it. This is very unsafe, I have bricks underneath to support the seat so I can drive. The car was barely 4 years old and had only 70,000 on it at the time.

6 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2006

While driving on the highway, the seat in my Murano broke loose as I was headed into a curve. The seat actually threw me into the driver side door and caused me to jerk the wheel and run off of the road. Upon thorough examination by my self and an authorized Nissan dealership, a bracket that holds the seat secure to the track system had broken. The mechanic advised me that it was a defect and that he had not seen anything like it before. This particular support bracket is a critical piece of the seat assembly and without this piece the vehicle is difficult to safely drive and could cause an accident. Also, the piece is most likely to break under tension such as entering a curve as was the situation in my case, or swerving to avoid an accident. In either event, the unexpected malfunction could cause the driver to loose control of the vehicle. More troubling is the possibility that the piece would break in a collision, thereby throwing the driver into the driver door and the driver's head into the glass. I have contacted both Nissan and the dealership from which I purchased the vehicle about the part on numerous occasions. Their stance is that though the part is defective, the vehicle is out of warranty and that they will neither repair my vehicle nor address the issue with a recall to avoid any future accidents or injuries. I even offered to send Nissan pictures of the broken part and they were not interested. The representative did not even bother to log in the correct part when I spoke with him. He logged it as a broken seat track. When I advised him that it was not the seat track but the actual seat, he dismissed it by saying that was the category that Nissan had established for seat malfunctions.

7 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2005

Driver's seat slides around. Was a problem when I bought the vehicle in '05. Took it back to the dealer and they said it was my problem to fix. It is a 2003. Slides and is uneven. Someone needs to protect the consumer from crap like this.

8 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2005

The power driver's seat shifts slightly and makes a clicking noise. My Nissan dealer identified the problem, however refused to fix it under my extended warranty. The cost of the fix was over $500.

9 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 08/26/2004

Driver seat track has been replaced 2xs and still has rocking motion problem, very annoying Nissan might as well put thumb tacs on the steering wheels of their cars if they find this problem acceptable.

10 Front Seat Power Adjust problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2004

The drivers seat in my 2003 Murano had an excessive rocking problem since purchased new and proceeded to get worse and worse until I could not take it anymore. Well Nissan replaced the whole track assembly on July 20, 2004. To my surprise the new one, only being 3 weeks old is already as bad as the original one but now it makes an excessive creeking noise. Maybe the 3rd one will be the charm ?????.
