I went to drive my car in the morning and it didn't turn on it had been running fine the whole time ive had it. I purchased this vehicle in 2015 it had 103945 miles on it. It now has 118k on it and once the battery was charged we proceeded to replace it. The next day it started up got me to work , as soon as I was getting ready to leave work it was completely dead. It took over an hour to jump it and finally get it going. As soon as I got home and parked it, once again completely dead. I have been told it is the alternator by several people and have not had time to get it in to a shop as I work difficult shifts to correlate with what is available for most shops to provide. I do not want to have this issue fixed and then have it happen again the next day as I have read several complaints here stating they fix the alternator just to have it happen again. Has this year and model had any recall in regards to this issue as I have purchased a brand new battery to have it stone dead the next day.
I was driving my car to work when suddenly my car just suddenly stopped on the middle of the road without any warning. . . I had my mechanic tow it. . . . The battery and alternators replaced. . . Then I drove it and thesame thing happened. . . Everything just shut off just after some few hours from the repair shop.
Alternator failed a few months ago. Had it replaced twice, as the next day it failed again. Now, my brake light and battery light are on again, and everything I've read says this means alternator failure again. This happened the first time as well.
While driving my children to school in the morning, I was driving approx. 45 mph when suddenly I lost all acceleration. I had to try and roll to a safe place as I was in heavy traffic and put the vehicle in park. I turned the key off and waited a few minutes and re-started the vehicle and was able to drive a few miles before it happened again and lost all acceleration while pressing the gas pedal. Again, I rolled somewhere safe to park and turned the ignition off again, however I was unable to start the vehicle and all lights were illuminated on the dash panel. The vehicle was towed to a private mechanic where it was found that the alternator wires had failed and the battery was unable to be charged.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. The contact was driving approximately 30 mph when the brake and battery sensor warning lights suddenly illuminated. The vehicle also would not accelerate. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the contact was informed that the alternator had malfunctioned. The manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 80,000.
Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the alternator had failed while driving causing the vehicle to experienced a complete loss of power. The brake light and the battery light illuminated with in two miles of the failure happening. In addition, the driver seat mount had detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the alternator had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the problem recurred two times. The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic where the seat was welded. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue where they admitted they are aware of the issue. The vehicle failure mileage 65,000. Kh.
The vehicle's current problem is that the alternator is malfunctioned, and defected which causes the engine and battery to shut off and die. This already occurred more than 3 times. In addition, the oil tank pipe leaks. This is very dangerous because when the defected alternator fails, then it causes the battery and engine to shut off and die. If a person is driving a defected vehicle that has a defected and malfunctioned alternator that causes the engine to shutoff and die in the middle of a highway or street then a huge accident can occur and it will cause the driver and passengers to die or even get severely or permanently injured. This vehicle definitely has a recall, malfunctioned, and defected alternator. I bought my vehicle that is under warranty to the Nissan service dept but they never admit that it is the defected alternator problem and never fix it. They just provide and install a new battery in my vehicle. But that does not solve the problem because the battery power gets drained and it dies and shuts off the engine. This already happened to me over 3 times and Nissan's service dept never resolves this important problem. This urgent problem needs to taken cared of ASAP or else it will be dangerous for driver and passenger's life.
