Fuel Pump problems of the 2006 Nissan Murano

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the fuel pump would unexpectedly shut off and stop pumping fuel whenever she refueled. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who was running a diagnostic test to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 10,000.

Service engine soon came up, so I went to my mechanic & told me that code "po463" came up & fuel pump sending unit needs to be replaced & that cost around $800. I check online & notice that a lot of people are having the same problem. So I think Nissan needs to do a recall & take care of this issue. . . . Thank you in advance.

I have a very hard time pumping gas into my 2006 Nissan Murano s. After a gallon or two the fuel pump handle will kick off and stop pumping. I have been told this is because of the venting system. I first brought the car in for this issue in 2006. I ended up picking it up and then taking it right back because I couldn't put gas into it at the station down the road. It was again serviced for the same thing in 2008 and then again in 2009. The vehicle is currently back in the shop for the same complaint. I have to pump gas into a portable gas can and then pour it into the Murano.
