I was in a broadside collision. The front end of my car collided with the side of another car. I was going approximately 30-35 mph at time of impact. I had my seat belt on. The airbags failed to deploy and seat belt did not lock resulting in being thrown forward and impacting the steering wheel. The car sustained severe frontal damage and is a total loss from the insurance company. The car has been well maintained and was serviced by Nissan exclusively. I had no warning lights on prior to the accident occurring.
Seat belt may be defective as it is very difficult to fasten. I think if I were to get into an accident it would fail. I bought the car in 2016 and it seems Nissan may have used a poor design.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side seat belt had remained locked in the reclined position with the seat belt message displayed on the instrument panel. The driver side seat belt does not want to snap into the belt holder which has the red button you push to release it, I have checked every time for any obstruction and nothing is there, it does finally lock into the spot after about 10 times of trying this just started happening 2 weeks ago, the car is not that old to be having seat belt problems like that. It does not matter what time of day it does it regardless and only when putting it on, it releases just fine just when putting it on it will not latch. Just let me know if you need me to do a video of it I never made a video of this happening.
Front passenger seat belt is locked. Will not release. Vehicle was stationary when seat belt locked.

The driver & front passenger seat belts are located behind the seats off the floor of the rear passenger seats, so when anyone is sitting behind the driver or passenger the feet of the rear passengers can be placed on the seat belts causing the front passengers to be restrained.

The seatbelt on the second row seating center has stopped working it worked for a little while then we noticed it was starting to lock up now it does not buckle at all they cleaned it we have checked for pennies or any debris but it will not grab the other part of the seat belt. The vehicle's always is in park mode before we leave and buckle up.
Within warranty time frame of vehicle - seatbelt fabric rolls inside of male sliding end mechanism on drivers side front seatbelt when pulled from the left over to the right and into the female end. Resulting in insufficient tightness across lap, and "stuck" fabric that needs to be manually unfolded and "unstuck" from within the male end sliding belt mechanism. Happens several times a day to multiple drivers. Does not occur in passenger side or rear seatbelts. Happens when putting seat belt on before driving. Have had it replaced, and checked three times at dealership, they could not duplicate issue. But it continues to occur daily. May be defective fabric or retractable mechanism?.
Driver's seat-belt doesn't release when you push the button. You have to pull the buckle out with a pretty stiff jerk. The car is stationary.
Seat belt light off when passenger is in car. This happens on and of, I cannot predict when it happens. The passenger seat belt light is on indicating there is not no passenger on the seat when my daughter is sitting in it. This has happened with the car stationary and in motion. I've called the dealer and they said there was no recall for my vehicle with regards to this specific issue. It appears that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. Please have Nissan fix this problem. Thanks.

This car has an electrical problem. The dash board lighted components flicker back and forth from dim to bright when the headlights are turned on. The headlights when turning on go from really dim to normal when turning on. I have noticed this at night while driving. When going to buckle my son in his car seat the seat belts thin the rear lock and do not release. Unless all the slack it it is returned to normal. Which sometimes takes 3 to 4 times to be able to buckle him into his seat without the seat belt locking.

I contacted peltier Nissan last week to schedule repair of the audible alert for drivers side seat belt. I am getting no audible alarm when driving down the road without my seatbelt hooked. I brought the car in today, may 23, 2018 and they had the car for over 4 hours. When they called, the service personnel told me that they checked other 2018 cars on the lot and none of them had an audible seatbelt alert either, so the vehicle is fine. Stating it's not supposed to 'ding' if you don't hook your seatbelt, that it's only supposed to give you a visual alert. They wrote this on the report and wrote 'normal operation', ' no action'. When I got home my husband called the NHTSA to ask about federal law regarding this, however, the person didn't know the law and referred us to call Nissan! (that's scary). So my husband called Nissan main office, and the lady looked up the specs and told us that "yes, the vehicle is supposed to have an audible alert". We then looked it up in our manual, and the manual states there is an audible and visual alert for the driver and passenger side when seatbelt is not hooked. This is disturbing that your agent didn't know the law, and that Nissan has even more cars on the lot with no audible warning. My car dings when the lights are left on, door is open, or keys are left, but they think it's ok that it doesn't alert me when I'm zooming down the highway with no seatbelt on? I believe an investigation needs to be done, as this is a huge safety issue and liability on their part.
I purchased a new 2017. 5 Nissan Murano oct 14 2017 one week later the srs light comes light comes on while driving and stays on. After three trips back and multiple parts replaced including sensor for seatbelt connector that was not attached properly and the replacement of the srs system. Today 97 days later I was told by my local Nissan dealership that the vehicle was indeed defective at time of purchase. The factory had not connected the harness that connects to the airbags which was causing my srs light to come on continuously. I am very sad and upset that this has happened to me and I am in process of filing a claim with the Nissan corporation consumer department for a buy back of my vehicle.
2 safety issues: (a) passenger side seatbelt functioned fine when we got out of the car and upon return, we were unable to pull the belt out to fasten. It was locked within its 'roll-up' area. (b) blind-spot warning lights, tire air warning lights and etc. As seen in uploaded photo stay on in the color of orange. Also the brake light stays on in red after car is started. These functions do not work as well. No air needed in tires: checked that. No issues with brakes: checked that. Taking car to shop Friday.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Murano. While driving at any speed, the contact was unable to put on and fasten the seat belt. All of the seat belts failed to extend out enough to fasten. The contact also stated that he was unable to see passing vehicles through the side mirrors. The failures were not diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that there were no defects. The failure mileage was approximately 500.

Exiting a highway and taking ramp to enter an avenue, driver lost control of the car turning right at intersection. Front left tire hit the curve side and car rolled over 2 full rolls. Driver and passenger had seat bells on. Car body took strong hits on both sides, posts between side windowsroof, windshield frame, hood. Seat bells never locked down during roll over and none of the airbags deployed. Driver and passenger had head, knees and back injuries. It would be expected the seat bells to lock down and at least the side airbags to deployed. Pictures available at your request.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Murano. While driving 20 mph, there was a loud noise in the vehicle and the air bags deployed without warning. As a result, the air bag struck the contact in the face. Medical attention was not required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. Two weeks later, the contact heard another loud noise and the passenger side seat belt system exploded without warning. A police report was filed. The contact was not injured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.
Hit a deer going 35 mph and deployed both front airbags. I was the passenger when my airbag went off it hit my face and fractured my maxilla, broke off one tooth and made another loose enough it had to be pulled out also. Split upper and lower lip both needing stitches. Do to the damage sustained and the airbags being deployed my insurance company found the car unrepairable and a total loss.

Car loses its electric power. . . Shuts down in the middle of driving. The seat belts in the back do not work. The driver and passenger seats shift.
My 8 year old son was riding in the passenger side back seat on road trip from atlanta to tampa. He began complaining his seat belt would was stuck, and within a minute began to panic as it continued to tighten each time he moved. I glanced back to see he had trouble breathing because the belt so tight against his stomach that his skin and fat was folded around belt. I made emergency exit and ran in store for scissors. They did not have, but had a knife I was able to cut it in time. His stomach was red and sore. He was very scared. Now I carry a tool to cut belts. I filed report with Nissan, and they would not pay to replace it. I paid to replace it and they ordered 3 seat belts parts and all were faulty and they could not install. They manufactured another part and installed it. These belts are faulty and could kill people. There should be some emergency release to prevent this. Since a car does not come with a knife or scissors, and families with young children would not leave either in a reachable place, the car needs to have way to allow a parent to rescue child from a faulty locking seat belt. Nhtsa should require release mechanism in cars and have Nissan recall / replace all faulty seatbelts regardless year or mileage. This should be a strict standard to protect children from serious harm or death by malfunctioning seatbelts.
The front driver side seat belt will not retract and is laying loosly in the car and is unuseable. The front passenger seat belt is just the opposite, it is stuck tight and will not come out and is unuseable. This is not safe because neither seatbelt can be used and I believe seatbelts should be a lifetime guarantee.
T boned by a mail truck broke my arm leg tibia dislocated femur shoulder broken pelvis.
Sitting at a traffic light, I heard a loud pop. I couldn't find anything just sitting there. About 20 minutes later, making a turn from a stop sign, as the tires hit the drainage rut in the road, I felt like I was being thrown from my seat. The loud pop was the shearing of a metal structural component on the seat track under the driver's seat. The movement in the seat was so much that, had I been rear ended, my head would hit the frame above the windshield or the windshield itself. Nissan charged me $1700 for the repair, claiming I should not drive the vehicle because it was a safety issue. However, Nissan corporation refuses to cover any cost of the repair. When contacted, they tell me they are unable to answer any questions about the component.
