Tl the contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle swerved independently. In addition, the contact noticed that the threads on both rear tires were completely gone. The vehicle was taken to an independently mechanic where it was diagnosed that the subframe was rusted and caused the tires to lose threading. The vehicle was not repaired. The mechanic contacted an unknown Nissan dealer who advised the contact to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no warranties on the vehicle and the tires. The approximate failure mileage was 197,000.

(tpms) tire pressure monitor system. I purchased a 2010 Nissan Murano from a private party living in illinois in April 2018. At some time in November the tire pressure lamp had lit. I have weekly aired the tires at several different service stations trying to get the lamp on the dash to go out. To this day the lamp remains on and I have no way to turn it off.

I was pulling out of a gas station when a friend pointed out that the muffler/exhaust pipes of vehicle were hanging very low to the ground. Mechanic inspected it and rear subframe rusted through and broken. The rear wheels are worn on the inside and are misaligned. They are tilting in towards each other. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs. I was told that there was not a recall and that I would need to take the vehicle to a Nissan dealership to have them look at it and for the repair. I was given a case # and asked to provide proof of ownership. I recently purchased the vehicle from a family member. As the car was inoperable I had aaa tow it to the nearest Nissan dealership. The dealer quoted me an estimate repair cost of $5,279; parts and labor.
Subframe broke between the rear wheels while driving on city street. Mechanic inspected it and subframe is rusted from inside out. Mileage on the car is 150,000 miles and I am the first owner that took very good care of the car, from keeping it in my garage, to regular maintenance and car washing to prevent rust. Car is inoperable waiting for the part to come in for replacement for 6 days. Nissan had a recall on this model for 2003-2007 year of manufacturing, however I had not received any notice.

Clicking noise front wheel when turning right when I turn right I hear a clicking or knocking or flapping noise. It appears that there is something stuck in the wheel. It does it frequently after the car has been running for awhile. The dealer instead of looking into the issue is asking for money in order to diagnose it. This is an issue with Nissan from the online research I did. Please have Nissan address this issue. Thanks.

Rear subframe is rusted through and control arms that hold wheels on are pulling apart. Two mechanics have deemed this vehicle unsafe to drive due to a rusted frame.
While in traffic on a freeway travelling around 25 mph my back left tire exploded. I heard the boom but did not know what it was. I had not hit anything and was not knocked off course. Fortunately with traffic backed up I was travelling at a lower speed than normal. Shortly after a warning signal came on indicating my back left tire had 00 pressure. My new Murano only had 1630 miles on it before the tire blew out. I drove about a mile to an area safe to pull over. A highway patrolman assisted with the removal of the tire. We did not see any damage to the tire. He mentioned it was likely the bead seal wasn't sealed correctly. He wanted to test my other tires but because there was evidence of nitrogen in the tires he chose not to. My tire pressures were around 44 in two tires and 46 in the others before the blowout. I had just taken my car for the first oil change at the Nissan dealership I bought my car at maybe two weeks before this and they mentioned they adjusted my tire pressure.

Sub frame rusted all the way though. Deemed not safe to drive, tires are slanted.
I purchased my car, used, from Nissan of canton (michigan), on sept. 23, 2016 where there were no disclosures of any safety concerns due to structural or other concerns. On March 15, 2018, the right rear of car made a metal snapping sound and began driving poorly so I took the car to an ase certified mechanic who found "the rear frame has rotted out where the torsion arm mounts to the crossmember". I was told the sub-frame shows signs of excessive rust and corrosion such that, the car never should have been put up for sale by the Nissan dealer in 2016 as the rot and corrosion of the frame is a safety concern. The mechanic indicated that when the car is on a lift, the corrosion, rot and excessive rust is evident and shouldn't have been missed by the mechanic the Nissan dealer's used to ensure the car was safe to sell. I twice contacted the Nissan dealership to share this information and to seek a solution. I sent the used car manager a picture of the undercarriage that is included below. The dealer said the rust must have developed since I took ownership of the car and that they weren't responsible. I rejected this and asked to meet with the use car sales manager on Monday, March 26, 2018 where I will ask that the car be returned to the dealership for a full refund as I do not feel safe driving a car sold to me with serious frame damage, rot, rust and corrosion. I am fearful the rotted frame will snap, resulting in an accident where I or others, may be seriously hurt or even killed.
Driving on a local highway doing about 35 to 40 mph. Put on brakes and the entire rear end began to vibrate and make a rumbling noise. The rear tires are leaning inward on both sides of the vehicles which throws off the stabalization of the vehicle making it unsafe and difficult to steer or stop. The entire stabalization bar and the mounting brackets supporting it rusted through on the left side and dislodged and the right side is ready to dislodge from the body at any time. There is nothing to support the bar so it can inadventerly fall and hit the highway and do damage to the undercarriage of the car or cause the vehicle to flip. My mechanic told me the vehicle is unsafe to drive. They called Nissan and of course no recall or assistance to fix the vehicle which is over 2000 dollars. The sun visor on the drivers side drops blocking your vision unexpectantly creating a vision issue and concentration issue while driving. The electrical motor on the drivers seat is starting to fail and the seat wobbles as it is being repositioned. Once repair are complete and I have invoices, I will upload them under a separate complaint.
The left front lower ball joint is ready to fall out as well as the rear crossmember frame is broken in half on the right side.
Car has a broken suspension and stabilization bar, car in previous accident not disclosed to buyer. Car should not be on road as it is very unsafe tires are spreading in a triangular dimension due to previous damage.
Uniroyal tire failure - complete tire tread separation while driving on the highway operating under normal winter driving conditions and speed.

Subframe rust through and broke, causing lost control of car. Car became dangerous and unsafe to drive, with expensive repairs due to the break. Research shows that many people with the same car, or similar years, have had same issue. Brake of subframe was while moving on highway, causing drift of car with no control of back wheels, putting myself and other cars in danger. . Read more...
The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer (sheehy Nissan in glen burnie, maryland) for scheduled maintenance. When the contact retrieved the vehicle, the multi point inspection report stated that two of the tire pressure monitoring systems failed and needed replacement. The contact stated that the failure previously occurred in 2015. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN did not qualify for the recall. The manufactured provided case number: 28070792. The approximate failure mileage was 41,691.
While driving (making a turn at a light) sub frame collapsed due to rust and all control of vehicle was lost. Car collapsed on to back wheels.
When entering the interstate on June 5, the car felt like wind had shaken it. My friend, who was driving it, pulled over and saw that the driver's side rear tire had torn completely around the tire. When I took the tire to order a new one, I was told it looked like a factory defect although no recall was in affect at the time.
The tire pressure light stays on with the tires at the correct pressure. The light flashes about 20 times then stay solid for the remainder of the time whether driving or parked and on.

My front brakes are squeaky. Even after having my brakes regularly serviced with pads and rotors the brakes still squeak. Their have also been times when I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow down as expected. I had to pump the brakes to re-engage them. Once this caused me to roll into an intersection which luckily no other cars were near me. Now my front left wheel has started making loud swooshing and screeching noises. The faster I drive the louder the noise gets. The squeak in the left front tire is also present when driving in neutral. I have an appointment to get the car serviced on Wednesday. Even after servicing it makes me nervous that my car is not safe.
Supplemental air bag warning light, after pushing the ignition switch to the on position, the supplemental air bag warning light illuminated links after that doesn't off. Low tire pressure warning light after pushing the ignition switch to the on position, the low tire pressure warning light illuminated after that doesn't off.
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Murano. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle would wobble and the engine service warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing, but the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 224,000.
While driving my car the rear passenger subframe busted, caused my car to pull left and right until I could get off to the side of the road safely. I was on a highway traveling about 60mph when this happened. I have contacted Nissan about the subframe problem and they had me take it to a local dealer to be evaluated. Upon evaluation the total cost of having my rear subframe repaired is $5,022. 37 invoice number on this quote is q7812. Nissan has a warranty extension on the 2002-2005 altima subframe, for 13 years and unlimited miles. Campaign p5216 and service bulletin ntb05-114b. Where my concern is, is that my Murano has the same subframe as the altima but Nissan refuses to repair my vehicle. My vehicle had the exact same issue as the altima and could have killed or severly injured me while I was on that highway.
My Nissan Murano has 122,000 miles on car and I have already spent a lot of money repairing cvt's, front end issues and had to purchase a new transmission. I was on the interstate and had to drive slow all the way to my home. No accident but Nissan Murano has a lot of issues with the front wheels and transmission.
Takata recall, airbag on passager side indcator light on, tire light and tire slow leak.
The rear sub frame broke in two pieces, while making a right-hand turn, causing loss of control of the vehicle.
My car incurred a flat tire. Car towed to dealer who said the flat was caused by a screw which is worn away and caused the tire sensor to display and the flat occurred. Serving dealer said I need to replace all sensors and screws. I checked online and found a recall for this very issue. I found through the dealer that the recall was performed on only one sensor/tire. . . Not all of them. Now I have a bill for over $550 to replace all the sensors and screws even though the recall was never fully performed. Contacted Nissan headquarters and they said the recall was closed out. I explained the recall was never fully completed. They still do not acknowledge this is safety issue. . Read more...
Low tire pressure light will not go off even after having air pressure checked and air added.
The vehicles tire pressure warning light remains illuminated. I noticed there was a recall in many states excluding California. I live in California, could my vehicle or vehicles in my state be included. Ironically my vehicle is experiencing the same symptoms listed in the recall.
Vehicle is currently parked at dealer with confirmed brake/wheel locking problem occurring in one wheel at time and random among 3 of the 4 wheels each time applied in mode similar to abrupt stop and in slick conditions. This braking problem did result in an accident 11/18/2013. The computers indicate everything working properly yet tech's are able to confirm that is not the case. After numerous tests, dealer tech's were advised by Nissan to cease further testing and open case with consumer affairs. Initial brake issue reported 8/7/2012. Brake pedal went all the way to the floor. Did not happen every time but frequent. Caused inconsistent stopping control and almost caused accident driving and even pulling a parking spot. Dealer replaced master cylinder. Vehicle was again returned to dealer 12/26/2012 for soft/spongy brake problem brakes would go all the way to the floor with unsafe and reduced braking ability. Dealer had vehicle until 1/4/2013. Appears they replaced master cylinder again, to no avail. They contacted Nissan tech-line for assist. Replaced abs control mod assy and brakes appeared normal again. 6 days later on 1/10/2013. Street was snow covered. I lightly applied brakes & vehicle began to lose control, with rear of the vehicle trying to come around. The vehicle felt like a wheel or brake locked up causing me to begin sliding, then like traction control was malfunctioning causing further loss of control. They checked it & concluded everything was working properly. The next snow I had the same problem. Anytime I applied brakes in the snow, I would begin to lose control as if only one brake was working. On 11/18/2013 driver had to hit brakes abruptly and car went into a skid with one tire locking up causing her to not be able to stop safely causing a collision. Leaving single tire skid mark, approx 60 feet before stop. Abs did not activate.
The vehicle has shown problems that were previously recalled including tire monitoring system, passenger air bag warning light remains lit, and rear hatch fails to function. More recently the vehicle fails to start and has strong smell of gas. The fuel pump was replace by a certified mechanic but the problem persists, failure to start or run. In addition, the battery has drained even after being checked and recharged, clearly an electrical problem. The VIN number search shows no recall notices,.
Noticed fluids on garage floor under my Nissan Murano. Upon checking fluid levels it was determined to be power steering fluid levels that were low. Further investigation indicated that the power steering hose was leaking. This has seemed to be a problem with the Nissan fleet as a whole, but as of yet no recalls have been initiated. This is a dangerous situation to be in because of the possible accidents that low fluid level poses and the possibility of initiating a fire.
I purchased my muranno 5 years ago and I've had a few issues but been very happy with purchase other than 2 things! 1 the wheel valves have been a common issue in on my third set of tires but I'm constantly having to air them due to the valve in side the tire! mine isnt listed under recall it there is a recall on other Nissan with same issue. The second my stero locked up cds and the warranty didn't cover this was a week after purchase that was. Wet disappointing after paying over 30. 000. For it!.
This is a serious safety hazard. The nut holding the tpms sensor/tire fill valve failed catastrophically with 2 longitudinal cracks while traveling 70 mph on interstate 5 near valencia, California. Tire pressure released suddenly (no previous warning by the tpms system). The car pulled strongly to the left (failure was in the front left tire). Regained control of the car and pulled off to shoulder. Nut shows evidence of corrosion and dirt in one of the two cracks. Tire was undamaged by any road hazard, only the tpms sensor/fill valve was loose in the wheel, and the nut came apart when hand inspecting the valve. A Nissan service bulletin exists for corroded nuts in eastern states where salt is used on roads, however this vehicle has strictly been in California, with less than 10 trips to ski areas in California, which does not use salt on its roads. Tire and nut are available for inspection. This appears to be a significant safety issue as control of the vehicle is at risk due to the sudden nature of the tire pressure loss and deflation.
Front right bearing failure.
