Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of Nissan NV200

Air bags did not deploy at all. Was at complet stop and hit by a vehicle that was at a rat of speed of 65mph+ and then was pushed into car ahead that was stopped( was "sandwiched"). Passenger has extensive injuries including but not limited to broken face bones and fractured back. Air bags not deploying has been confermed by police and insurance representatives. No warning lamps,messages or other symptoms of a problem prier to the crash.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Nv200. While driving approximately 50 mph and attempting to avoid running over a coyote, the contact crashed into a large rock on the side of the road. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained knee injuries, but did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,200.
