Engine And Engine Cooling Problems of Nissan NV200

Open recall called to fix fuel pump assembly due to fuel pump fuse blowing and engine shutting off, which my vehicle did, however I was charged by the dealership to replace fuel pump. Called Nissan directly and still didn't get reimbursed 0.

Vehicle lost power while traveling in rush hour traffic. Engine was running but there was no response when stepping down on accelerator. This problem has occurred 3 times in the last three (3) weeks and at least a half-dozen times in the last two (2) months. This vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Nv200 taxi s 2wd. This problem has been reported to my garage mechanics who are baffled and turned over to the dealership (koeppel Nissan, long island city, NY) who are also baffled. Both my garage mechanics and the service people at koeppel state this appears to be an ongoing and troublesome problem fleet wide with this model but Nissan has yet either not completely acknowledged the problem or developed an adequate fix.

I was driving in yorktown, NY 10598 and as I was making a right turn at the corner of hallocks mill rd. On to route 202, my Nissan Nv200 van just stopped. There was no warning, no flashing lights, no sound, nothing to indicate there was a problem with the vehicle. Up until this point, the van was driving perfectly as it had been doing since I got it. I had no reason to suspect that it would just come to a dead halt and the engine would die. Luckily there was not much traffic and cars were not going fast. However, if this had happened on a main road, especially one of the highways that I travel on, like rte. 84, the major deegan, the taconic, etc. I would have been killed. Imagine pulling out into traffic with trucks barreling down at you and your car just stops! imagine if I had my family in the van in such circumstances. This is simply unacceptable and I don't feel I can safely drive this vehicle again.
