Ref. No. 11452064 dated may 12. 2023 after contacting the servicing dealership, a reply was received acknowledging coolant and transmission fluid cross-contamination was discovered. Along with the other complaints already received, I hope this is enough to proof to finally substantiate just remedies to all who purchased a defective product.
The vehicle jolted without warning and would not move. The transmission cooling lines ruptured in the radiator causing a complete destruction, pink fluid oozed out of the radiator. This was due to a Nissan defect that was never informed us of this problem that could have caused our deaths and the safety of others on the roads.
Transmission cooler busted causing transmission fluid to mix with coolant.
I had just bought this vehicle off of ebay from individuals in new braunfels , texas drove it back to amarillo , texas. I went to drop a load of items off at amarillo's giving closet for people in need. It ran perfect on the way over there. I turned the ignition off while I was unloading everything. When I went to start my vehicle it would not start although the lights and things would come on. The vehicle was later towed to a shop and I was told that it was being caused by the vehicle control. Now the transmission is messed up acts if there is no 1st or 2nd gear taking off in 3rd gear automatic transmission. Since then my husband was pinned under a seminar trailer he was working on and lost his leg. I can not afford to pay for another vehicle. Please help me. I was just informed of a problem with Nissan and this.
Coolant contamination, getting mix with transmission oil.
I bought a vehical has bad tire pressure sensors lights always on I never know if tires are reallyhaving an issue.
Car cut off while driving on highway,it woultd not start.
My Pathfinder taking antifreeze inside of transmission fluid turning it to look like pepto bismol also my engine is taking in anti freeze also. There are recalls on this problem with their vehicles note my truck still run but it over heats tranny works too I've parked it for couple years now I haven't driven it to the point where it don't work.
Vehicle lost power, will not transmit power to the wheels, appears to be a highly complaint among all owners. Transmission has failed in a heavy traffic area. Fuel level sender is no longer working.
I was told by the dealership there was a bad timing chain - called Nissan and they said they would not financially assist with the repair. There appears to be a civil lawsuit regarding this issue.
Defective drive chains, as described in a Nissan technical service bulliten. These were about to break and destroy the engine.
Timing chain failure at 80,000 miles which should not happen.
Timing chain tension system failed at 80,000 miles.
Transmission on the Pathfinder was very rough shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. We returned it to a dealer, who said it needed a new transmission. It seems that this has been a very common problem, and it seemd the company should have done more to remedy the problem than just hoping the newest extended warranties ran out before the cars needed repairs.
Transimission failure driving under normal conditions on interstate.
The trucks transmission slipped while I was merging onto the highway. The truck didn't want to move. It was very scary. I had the whole family with me.
The entire transmission melted without warning. The car could not move on reverse and only going 20mph.
I was driving on the expressway and my car suddenly would not accelerate. I made my way to a street location and pulled my car on the side of the road. I shut the car off. It would not start. I had it towed to a mechanic and he said that it is the transmission.
About 2 weeks ago I was driving my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder ( automatic), when I try to accellerate a bit the vehicle show signs that the speed-gear will not shift properly. When I am at a red light also for example once the light change to green the car take a few seconds to accelerate to the proper speed making it an inconvenience for other cars behind me since the speed will not pick up on time. Sometimes also it tend to " shot" making a weird not before resuming proper speed and this happen mostly on local roads.
Failure of automatic transmission due to cross contamination of coolant fluid into transmission.
I was driving on the freeway when all of a sudden I heard a thud and lost power, had to go over 2 lanes without being hit. . . . I took it to the shop and the mechanic new excactly what the problems was. Radiotor fluid getting into the transmission causing it to fail. . . Hundreds of Nissan Pathfinder owners are having this problem. Tell Nissan to recall this now before someone gets killed. . Shouldnt have to pay $8000 for Nissans crappy work. .
The faulty seal that separates the anti-freeze and transmission fluid mixed and resulted in the transmission failing. This catastrophic failure that the manufacturer is admitting to but only giving partial remedy as it may not happen before 80,000 miles. I find myself along with many other customers who are footing the bill for the 8600 dollar repair in tough economic times. When buying a new vehicle it should last long enough to finish paying the car note without any major expenses. This issue needs to be addressed immediately as a recall so the consumer can be reimbursed for terrible engineering that any mechanic will tell you. Even the Nissan dealers know is a problem but will not take ownership. Is there any assistance as a consumer?.
