1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/19/2019

Just purchased my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder le ( 4x4) with 55,000 miles on it ( our fault sign unseen) from out of state ( florida dealership) I believe it was originally a va car. We had it hauled up via truck to wisconsin. Now mind you we have paid for this car already so we had no choice but to take it. I moved it out of the way until I could get it licensed, my husband then started it when he got home and he went around the block and then check engine light went on. The gas gauge showed full however when I pulled it out of the wayafter driving around a couple of blocks it went to e and the light came on. My husband went to fill it up thinking that may help, but it would not allow him to fill it, it would put some in, then stop, he did that 5 times and gave up. We checked online for any recalls and found there were several one of them being a fuel sensor issue. We called the dealership we got it from and they said any recalls have since been expired. Being we are the 2nd owner of this vehicle we don't know if the first owner did anything if there were recalls. How can we find this out? if there is a way to show this, and they did nothing about it, is there a way to get these fixed under warranty? also, is there a way to see if the code we are getting has been in the cars memory for some time ? most importantly is if the recalls were never take care of, is there an exception that can be made to fix the recalls that were put out there for this model? any assistance would be great! the date below on when this happened is based on when we first got it how long its been going on we don't know. Again if there is a way to see its history through the computer we would like to know how to go about finding that out.

2 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2019

The vehicle damage the pump fuel during a period of 9 months it was changed 4 times.

3 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2019

Coolant and transmission fluids are mixing, loss of transmission power.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2017

Vehicle shakes after reaching 40mph or higher.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2016

When I full my vehicle with gas the gage inside still say empty. Sometimes it moves, but very misleading. Because of what's happening with fuel gage, now my service engine light is on.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 08/17/2016

Vehicle lost power, will not transmit power to the wheels, appears to be a highly complaint among all owners. Transmission has failed in a heavy traffic area. Fuel level sender is no longer working.

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2016

Check engine light came on, dte reads --- and fuel gage seems to be inaccurate. Issue presented itself at 99,900 miles. Code p0463 is thrown. This issue is widely documented across forums and the internet, yet Nissan only covers this until year 2013 and/or 72k miles, whichever comes first. This widespread issue should be covered for life of vehicle.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/09/2016

I have not had this 2007 Pathfinder a year yet. I told the man that sold me the car that I was having this fuel issue where, the gauge just drops down and you think you are out of gas. He told me to just wait until my warranty kick in. Low and behold we brought it back and they said the warranty did not cover it. There are Nissan that have been recall for this issue. Baker Nissan knew what the problem was and sold me the car without servicing it properly like they promise me. Now the light is on cause the problem is still there. Why do company do customer like that it is such a shame to live in such a greedy world where people care only for themselves. I hope that the Nissan company is not this way because peoples lives are at stake driving unsafe vehicles because you don't choose for one(1) day to eat a can of bean. I'm very upset that they railroaded me.

9 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/19/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder le. The contact stated that while driving at any speed when the accelerator pedal was activated the vehicle barely moved. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic and diagnosed that there was a cross contamination of radiator fluid that leaked into the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate mileage was 95,000. Bd.

10 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2015

Heavy vibration while shifting heavy vibration while accelerating shuddering noises I am fearful that my car will die while I am driving down the street.

11 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2015

I bought the vehicle a year ago at 79,000 miles. In January of 2015, I hit the 100,000 mile mark and almost immediately started having transmission problems. Loud and jerky shifting and smelling foul in the air conditioner. Nissan dealership said that there was an issue and since I was out of warranty, (100,000 miles) that they weren't liable. He said I could drive it because it shouldn't break down for another few thousand miles. So I just parked it. I would only drive it if I absolutely had no other choice. Friday, may 15 2015 I was coming home from a doctors appointment and the vehicle completely broke down. The transmission went out and I was in the middle of a busy road with my 4 year old in the car with me. At 40 mph, the rpm was at almost 5,000. I pulled over to call my husband and when we put it in reverse to back out of the parking space, it wouldn't go into reverse. I had to tow it home and it's completely broken down. I don't have 4,000 to spend on a transmission and radiator.

12 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/24/2014

I currently have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder and at the end of October it started acting like it was going to stall a few times, then after a few times of that my check engine light came on so I took it to get evaluated and it comes up that it has a faulty fuel level sensor. I haven't gotten it fixed as of yet because I am a single mother of 4 and the cost isn't cheap. I have had no real issues with my truck other than this and after researching today I am seeing more and more complaints of the same thing but I dont see where there is a real recall for this. But it should be covered with all of the complaints that are in about this. I dont wish to be stranded somewhere with my children in this cold weather. For such an expensive vehicle you'd think something as such would be covered with so many going bad so needless to say I am not happy at the moment.

13 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2014

I have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder that started making loud rumbling noises while driving. We replaced the radiator after the car over heated and a milky substance leaked. We've had the transmission flushed twice. We were told by a mechanic that the radiator liquid mixed into the transmission. I'm very disappointing to find that there are so many others with the same issue and that Nissan is doing nothing to help.

14 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2014

Radiator fluid mixed with my transmission fluid, making the car undriveable. At 65 mph the vehicle began to slow as the rpm's were increasing. The vehicle then slowed to only 40mph, and we barely got the car off the hwy. Then, eventhough in drive, the vehicle would not move; like it was put in neutral. Looked up issue online, and it is another known Nissan recall; but they limit the amount of miles that you can have to receive any reimbursement. Basically, I will get no relief for this known defect. I did get a recall notice but my vehicle was having no issues at that time, and now at 18 months later my vehicle is toast. I will never buy a Nissan again.

15 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2014

Transimission failure driving under normal conditions on interstate.

16 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2014

Radiator transmission cooler failure allowed cross contamination between transmission fluid and antifreeze. The resulting lack of lubrication and electrical conductivity of antifreeze caused electrical and mechanical transmission failure.

17 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2014

The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for inspection and they noticed that the fuel sensor was faulty. There was a voluntary recall related to the defect issued by the manufacturer. The recall pertained to the fuel senor. The vehicle exceeded the 70,000 mileage mentioned in the recall and was ineligible for the free repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

18 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2013

Calsonic radiator issue - transmission fluid and coolant mixed causing issues with transmission. Bad transmission cooler area per aamco. Nissan is unwilling to help as my vehicle has 126k miles on it. These issues appear to be happening in a much greater % than Nissan is acknowledging. They moved the warranty from 3 yrs/36000 miles to 8 years/80000 miles but it still doesn't help those whose radiator leaked after the 100k level prematurely. This is a safety issue and also a manufacturing defect issue. It seems that Nissan corporate, dealers, transmission shops and other governmental organizations knew about this issue - sadly, most consumers don't. I would have gladly replaced my radiator for $500 but now I will be out $4000 because Nissan didn't tell their owners about this problem.

19 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2013

We have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder with approximately 58,000 miles. My wife and 1 week old son were out and the car unexpectedly ran out of gas, even though the gauge showed half-full. Thankfully, I was able to get to them quickly and pick them up. After doing some research there are 100,000s of 2006-2008 Pathfinders and xterras with a very well known and documented problem with the fuel level sensor. I called Nissan and apparently there was an extended warranty on this part that expired Jan 31, 2013 or 72,000 which ever is first. My car has 58k miles and they are refusing to cover the repair. There are two big issues here - 1. This is a serious safety concern and 2. If they know this is a problem why would they not notify owners to have the part fixed or formally issue a recall. Nissan has lost my business forever. . .

20 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2013

2007 Nissan Pathfinder, the fuel sending unit is the problem (error code po463), after fueling up the gas gauge level dropped, fuel light came on and check engine light. Nissan assist refuses to cover the problem stating the car is out of warranty and the campaign is over. I was never told about a campaign or experienced this problem until now. With so many vehicles affected and the danger of no gas level reading is a serious safety hazard. Nissan surely will never see my business for any future purchase of a vehicle. It sure is nice to know how Nissan refuses to acknowledge a legitimate problem regarding the fuel sending unit an provided me no explanation other than it's out of warranty period. Read all the other complaints about the same problem. What's next the transmission, with all the complaints I bet I'm heading their too.

21 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/11/2013

The service engine light came on. The code is p0463, fuel level sensor circuit high input. I went today 5/25/13 to get a MA inspection sticker. The vehicle failed due to this code.

22 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2010

Service engine light on after refueling.

23 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2010

2007 Nissan Pathfinder has a recall on their fuel sending unit but only on certain VIN numbers. They truly have a problem with their fuel sending unit why don't they cover all bad fuel sending units? this is a safety problem that Nissan should take care of as soon as possible! my 2007 Pathfinder has this problem but is not covered by their recall - I believe Nissan has a problem!.

24 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2009

The service engine light appeared at about 50k miles. We determined it was a faulty fuel sensor. Nissan insisted on us paying for a diagnosis at their service center when we already knew what was wrong, then they charged me to have it installed. This was followed by a recall on 2007 Pathfinders being recalled for fuel sensor but mine is excluded.

25 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2009

Fuel sending unit for a 2007 Pathfinder has to be replaced. There has been a number of people complaining about this same problem code p0463. The cost run from 300-600 dollars. Why has there not been a recall on this problem. Checked different places and a lot of Pathfinders or Nissan trucks have the same problem and it is not covered. Nissan inc. Has to recall to many people having same problem. Please recall.

26 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2009

I own a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder se with 47000 miles. The fuel level sensor failed and the service engine light came on. I went to the dealership and paid $100. 00 to read the engine code and confirm the sending unit was at fault. They told me that this was a common problem and it cost $400. 00 dollars to fix. In this economy I am unable to afford this so I will have to postpone this fix. My concern is that if I or a family member forgets to check the mileage since the last fillup, this vehicle can shut down at hi speed and lose steering and brakes. I just found out that Nissan issued a recall to fix this problem but limited it to a few vehicles manufactured during a few months from 2005-2007. My vehicle missed this small window by 2 months.
