Door Latch Problems of Nissan Pathfinder

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while parked in the driveway, the key fob were left in the cupholder and the contact went to unlock the vehicle and all the doors locked. The police was called to unlock the doors. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the battery and the key fob. After the battery and key fob been replaced the issue reoccurred again when the contacts wife had left the key fob in her purse on the passenger seat. This time their daughter was in the car and luckily she was able to unlock the car from the inside. The contact stated the wife pushed the button to unlock the doors and all the doors locked again instead. The manufacture was made aware of the failure and told the contact that they can not diagnose the problem. The failure mileage is unknown.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the front driver side interior door latch would no longer function and the door could not be opened from inside the vehicle. The driver had to roll down the front driver side window and pull the exteroir door latch to open the door. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 120,000.

The contact owns a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the front drivers side wheel detached due to failed bolts and the contact lost control of the vehicle. The was safely driven to the side of the road, where it was stopped. The contact also stated that the front drivers door would not unlock, so he had to exit through the front passenger door. The vehicle was then towed to an authorized dealer. The vehicle was included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 11v244000 (steering:column), but the dealer was yet to determine if the recall was related to the failure. The dealer was awaiting a representative from the manufacturer to examine the vehicle. The failure mileage was 180,000. Sm.

Both rear door latches are not working. One door will not open from either inside or outside since Jan. Of 2004, now the other door won't open (Aug. 04). I do not have children and very rarely use the rear doors.

When driving, the driver side door will lock, and at times will not let consumer open the door, contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything. The door locked by itself two more times and the door key does not open front door when locked.
