Passenger side captain seat frame has too much play causing shaking and noise in the seat when passenger is in seat. Frame was replaced 05/2024 and same issue has occurred less than a year later. After accident on 10/17/2025, sound has gotten worse in seat and inspection shows frame to be critical. At time of accident passenger was in seat. Accident involved a deer on front passenger side bumper and side panel. Insurance did not cover seat claiming accident could not cause seat malfunction.

The drivers seat does not have enough padding. I was driving in new jersey on the thruway and because the seat does not have enough cushion I tried to adjust myself and that caused me to go into other lane. Luckily no accident but this is definitely a safety issue. I do have pictures to show of the condition of the seat.
Premature wear on rear brakes and dealers tells there fine each time I’ve taken it in for service I don’t think they even test driven the car is shakes and vibrates when you brake at speeds higher than 30-40 mph. They advised me the battery needs replacing on the last service that it’s showing some sort of signs that needs to be replaced. The heated seats on the passenger side just stopped working all of a sudden. From what I can see online from forums and people complains these are common issues on this vehicle and they are pushed on the customer. I will see what can be covered under warranty but it seems only the seat issue would be covered. This needs to be addressed the brakes are too small and under powered for this size of a vehicle especially if you are towing. It appear they wear out prematurely if your using the cruise control which I don’t use a often or drive down mountain sides or tow at the moment so it doesn’t make sense I have a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder with less than 28000 miles. I will be taking the vehicle in soon to address these issues as the tech spoke to me about the battery only when I went in for an oil change and I refused the battery since the vehicle has not had any issue or sign or needing a battery and they would not cover it telling me it was more preventative.
The seatbelt system, including the computerized imaging alerts on the dashboard, seatbelt warning tone notification, and possibly the seat sensors of the vehicle have been failing and continue to malfunction. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This malfunction alerts and states that passengers are not buckled in the backseats when nobody is in the vehicle but the driver. This malfunction also alerts and states that passengers are not buckled in the backseats when they are this malfunction occurs randomly while driving the vehicle. It was initially brought in for this concern the first week of August 2025 and the local Nissan service techs replaced the seatbelts in 2 of the back seats. Unfortunately, this did not resolve this issue and has been documented with video evidence on multiple occasions. My children are frequent passengers in the backseats of this vehicle and I have safety concerns that should an accident occur, the seatbelts malfunction and are not actually keeping my children safe as expected with a seatbelt. The most recent visit to Nissan services for this problem was on 08/18/2025 to 08/20/2025 where the techs stated the problem could not be reproduced and that all I can continue to do is keep driving the vehicle and take videos of the incidents. Using a phone while driving sounds like a safety concern to me, as well. The vehicle has only been seen, with multiple appointments, at the local halliday Nissan service department. Prior to the original problem the first week of August 2025, these issues first appeared around the end of June, early July 2025. There are warning lamps, signals, and notification noises associated with this issue. I have video documentation, service documentation, recordings, text messages, voicemails as proof of documentation.

The front passenger seat in my 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is too low making the seat uncomfortable to sit in. Nissan told me to call the safety board to start a recall.

Heated seats appear to be on, but do not heat up. The door lock sensors on the exterior door handles do not work consistently.
My toddler was seated (in the car seat that was buckled into ) the second row bucket seat. While driving the vehicle we hit a bump in the road which then launched the back passenger seat up and forward pinning my child between the two seats. His face smashed into the front passenger seat headrest which caused forced injury to his head. The ez seat button could not have been reached by my child due to them being in a car seat. This has been reported to the manufacture of Nissan. There are no warnings for this feature.
The relay in the drivers seat melted and the wires shorted out. This caused issues with my radio, clock, brakes, and power issues when accelerating. They replaced the relay which cost me $1200 and suddenly all of my systems work correctly. I was told the short was causing feedback into the electrical systems of the car by the service department. The dealer further confirmed there is an advisory on this issue and it has been noted several times. They stated the issue is ongoing but there is no recall.

Vehicle was traveling at 55 mph. Vehicle shifted itself into neutral, engine began to rev, vehicle began to slow to approximately 50 mph, engine shut off at 50 mph, vehicle immediately locked brakes up and skidded to a stop in middle of highway. Vehicle would not turn back on initially. After a minute or so, vehicle restarted but showed that it was still in drive, had to be placed into park before being shifted back to drive. Second issue, the second row rear seat has a electronics issue. The rear seatbelt alarm chimes consistently with a warning saying the seat belt is not bucked when the seat is empty. Only resolution to temporally fix the problem is to keep the rear middle seatbelt buckled at all times.
Second row seat on the passenger side base will not fold down after the release handle was pulled so occupants in the 3rd row can exit the vehicle. The latch will not engage to its in a locked position.

The drivers side heated seat has stopped working. My car is no longer under warranty so I decided to research this. When researching this topic, a lot of other people have discussed having the same exact issue with the same exact seat. In fact, there are people who have discussed having their heated seat fixed and even that stops working. I do not want to spend money on an issue that is a consistent problem, on top of being a issue after being fixed. This issue began happening around 37,000 miles, right after my warranty expired. There were no warning signs. I also worry with it being a faulty product, will the electrical component of it catch fire.
Driver and passenger seats are too low. Passenger seat is not adjustable and the set height would harm a passenger in a collision. Seat spacers or risers should be required as a fix from Nissan.
I own a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The front passenger seat is far too low. For me, at 6', it's feels ridiculous. However, for people at or under 5'2", it is downright dangerous, resulting in striking heads on the dashboard. The NHTSA should look into this poorly designed front passenger seat issue before people get hurt. Thanks.
I own a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The front passenger seat is far too low. I am 6' it's feels extremely low and I feel I can hit my head on the dash. However, for people at or under 5'2", it is downright dangerous, resulting in striking heads on the dashboard. The NHTSA needs to look into this poorly designed front passenger seat issue before people get hurt. The current controls do not adjust the seat to go up on the front passenger except for the front driver side. Nissan has not done this except for the 2023 models have the front passenger seat adjust. This is a safety issue that needs to be investigated and corrected immediately.
The drivers and passenger seats in front are extremely low and can barely see over dash. Drivers side is at its highest with controls. Passenger seat does not adjust. Seems that it is a safety issue if in accident. Head would hit dash. These seats should be raised up.
While I was driving my toddler who was in the 3rd row pushed the bottom located at the back of the 2nd row seat. The seat came foward with my baby who was in his carseat causing him to come foward at a really high speed (since the seat moves foward really fast and with impulse) causing him to hit his head and almost causing me to crash. I had to stop in the middle of where I was driving since my baby was screaming and crying and couldn't breath since he was being squished by the seat. The seat is very heavy and hard to push back in case of an emergency from someone sitting in the back row. You have to actually get down to be able to put it back in it's place.
Passenger seat is extremly low, anyone under 5 ft 2 will smash into dashboard in a wreck. Called Nissan and also noted hundreds of complaints online. They changed the seat in the 2023 model to fix the issue, but are ignoring the 2022's.
I own a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder platinum. Front passenger seat is so poorly designed for people at or under 5'2". This seat should have designed just like the driver side seat, meaning it should also move up and down. My wife almost hit her fore ahead few times. She stopped sitting in the front seat because of the low seat position. I also heard from other people. I called the Nissan dealer but unsuccessful to make them listen to this issue. Nhtsa should look into this poorly designed front passenger seat issue before people get hurt. Thanks.
Passenger seat is too low/not equal to driver’s seat. Driver’s seat has 10-way functions including raising the seat up and down. Passenger seat does not. My wife can’t see over the hood clearly and there may be an accident where she might hit the dashboard or the airbags might injure her when triggered because the seat is too low. In fact, she sits on a separate seat cushion which is ridiculous.
2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Consumer writes in regards to unsafe passenger seat height.
The 2nd row seats (captain chairs) are tilted upward at edge of seats and my infant carseat is not leveled as it should be. Due to the chairs seat being tilted upward causes child carseat level to be off and making carseat tilt forward causing babies head to go forward more than they should. Passenger seat is also very low causing concerns for airbag deployment and serious injury to face. Low viability in rear mirror due to large long headrests.
I have a Pathfinder 2022, sl and a rogue 2021, both are sl vehicles with the premium package. My concern is that the passenger seat on the Pathfinder is extremely low. I have had adult passengers in the front and they appear to be virtually on the floor. The issue is that in the event of an accident an average size adult will go directly in to the dash board. I believe it is a design flaw and that any test crash would show that the seat is too low or must be modified to enable the passenger to adjust the height up or down.
When I purchased this vehicle I quickly noticed a feature or standard that this vehicle has concerning passenger safety vs airbag on/off there is a lamp beside the display area that indicates if the pass bags are on (lamp is off) or if they are off (lamp is on) if the passenger is under a certain amount the airbag turns itself off. . . At least that was my observation for at least 4 months after purchase. This standard/feature isn't working anymore I guess? because the lamp is always on stating that the passenger airbags are off. I notified the dealership, they said they could not inspect the issue unless I paid for their time and then service (fix of the issue).

I recently purchased a 2013 Pathfinder with 71,000 miles. My 2013 Pathfinder has a faulty OCS. The red airbag light is illuminated on the dashboard that will not go off. It also has the passenger airbag light illuminated whether a person is sitting in the passenger seat or not. This light does not go off when an adult is sitting in the seat. There is a recall on 2013 Pathfinders for this problem but my VIN is not showing a recall for this problem even though it has the same issue.

The passenger seat is extremely low and passenger can't see out over dashboard. I believe this to be a danger with the airbags. There is no way to adjust the height and it is a power seat. The driver side adjusts height but barely high enough for short drivers. . Lots of complaints online. Please have them put in a fix for this as could be a danger in the future. People are trying to fix this with homemade material made into risers also a danger.
When driver seat is moved to highest point, the side view mirror blocks your view from from seeing anything on the entire front side of the car. I'm 5ft so I need the seat all the way up. Almost had several collisions because you can't see past or around side view mirror.

When you move front seats forward or back the airbag sensor under the seats breaks. The air bag off light is always lit up for passenger seat even when adult sits there, and the drivers airbag light is blinking on dashboard all the time. A week after buying vehicle I took it back to dealer and they said it was a recall and it was fixed. A week later it was back on I went back and they said nothing they can do it was already fixed. Nissan dealership told me same thing. It is not fixed and now I am paying car payments for a car I can't get an inspection sticker on, so I can't drive it. If it was a recall and they claim to have fixed it and the same problem happens again it should be fixed with an improved part so it don't happen again. The dealership also told me with those lights on there is a possibility of the airbags going off for no reason or they may not go off when in an accident. This is a serious problem and needs to be taken seriously but instead I am being told I need to pay for the recalled problem because they fixed it once already. Clearly they didn't fix it properly or at all but my VIN number says it was done.
The bolt holding the seat in place on the drives side broke leaving the seat able to shift a couple of degrees. There was no accident it just broke off as I breaked. It was not a hard break just standard stop and go. The result was that I leander forward a bit. As a driver of a moving vehicle this was not good.
2014 Pathfinder sv hybrid 4wd passeger airbag sensor frame and wiring needs to be replaced. The passenger airbag is always deactivated, even if an adult passenger is seated in it, there is also an airbag warning light that flashes on the dashboard. Nissan's OCS system seems to be frequently complained about online. The dealer says that this is just wear and tear, which I don't really understand how a frame and harness for the OCS (which they say needs to be replaced for $1200) could be a wear and tear issue. I just wanted to report this issue in case there have been others who have had the same problem, as there seems to have already been many recalls for the airbag system in this car.

Since I got the car they have been working on a sensor on the passenger side. . First the air bag sensor then the seat belt sensor. Now the air bag is totally off and wont come back on. . They are telling me the warranty is over this is a manufacturing defect and I want Nissan to pay for the repair. . It is no longer safe to have a passenger with me in the front what can I do?.
Second row single seat wobbles.
In 2019 the driver seat become wobbly and a bolt was found loose. Tightened bolt and is starting to become loose again. The single seat in 2nd row has also become wobbly and is getting much worse. Can't seem to figure out why it's so wobbly and can't get to any bolts to check tightness. This should be recalled for safety. Because of this I can't put a child's car seat in that seat and I can't use that seat for anyone else either as it is not safe. Please recall these seats so they can be fixed. I've seen forums where others have/had the same issue.
My Nissan cranks but don't start, don't know was wrong.

All of a sudden the dashlight came on tell me that the airbag was turned off. Vehicle to taken to Honda of marysville where the vehicle was purchase and where warranty was purchased. Not covered under warranty. Vehicle was take to Nissan for review it has taken two weeks to get a return call from the general manager of Nissan who stated that the sensor in the seat was bad and hence luminated the dashligtht. The general manager refused to fix the vehicle at no cost and told us the the repair would cost $1700. 00 since this is a standard repair not a safety issue.
