Two problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1996 Nissan Quest. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes failed, and brake pedal went down to the floor. Also, emergengy brake would not stop vehicle. Vehicle rolled into lake and sunk. Had not contacted dealer.
The brake problem was diagnose as failure of the hydraulic piston located in brake calipers that enagages the brake to disengage and caused the pads to wear out to the metal damaging the disk brake. The dealer did all repairs under warranty.
