One problem related to brake drum wheel cylinder has been reported for the 1997 Nissan Quest. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving braking system malfunctioned. Brake pedal went to the floor, vehicle had no braking ability, and driver had to use the emergency parking brake in order to stop the vehicle. Dealer replaced the right wheel, left middle plunger on the wheel cylinder which broke for no apparent reason. Dealer said this was the first time they had ever seen this defect.
