Three problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 1997 Nissan Quest. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 09/27/2003

Electronic sensor/ control module for airbags has totally failed (airbag warning light flashing) after just over 6 years and less than 38750 miles of usage of the 1997 Nissan Quest gxe which was bought in March 1997. It cost about $640. 00 in replacing the module from the Nissan dealer.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 05/24/2003

When I tried to start the car air bag light started to flash for no particular reason. Car was not in any accident. Dealer replaced air bags:sensor/control module. Since it happened without any reason, I conclude that air bag system supplied with Nissan Quest is unsafe and will not help during accident. This is a manufacturer fault, I would like to be reimbursed for the repair price ($800).

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 11/30/1998

Air bag warning light failed.
