Door Latch problem #1

There is no sensor on the automatic sliding door. As my daughter was manually opening the door, so was I with the keyless entry. The sliding door ending up closing on my childs fingers, smashing 3 middle fingers.

Door Latch problem #2

Passenger sliding door motor died in sept. Was replaced. Last week door started sticking again and then fell off the track into the street while driving. Had to be towed and take a cab home. Dealership trying to blame it on an accident that happened before the first motor was replaced. Nissan has not gotten back to us yet. I had a 2 month old baby in the car when this happened. I do not feel safe driving this car any longer. I like Nissan, this is my 4th car from them but I believe the door was not properly reinstalled.

Door Latch problem #3

Nissan 2006 Quest weak front door hinges. The van is less than 1 year old and the door catches when trying to exit vehicle. Took to dealer and they stated those are "light hinges" and they been in production since 2003 and they, "Nissan", hasn't had any problems because of them. They siliconed and greased door hinges and the rubber door seal and said that's what a person needs to do. This could be a dangerous situation in the event and elderly or small person needs to exit vehicle in an emergency. I have to bump it pretty good with my shoulder to get the door open. The silicone and grease works for now but I can see hinge pins, latching mechanisms, and door seals wearing out quickly.

Door Latch problem #4

Passenger sliding door does not open automatically or manually.
