1 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2012 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 01/01/2018

Hello, my name is edgar trejo. I bought a Nissan Quest 2012, and I've had it for about 2 or 3 years. When I bought it, the seats were good. Overtime, the seats have become worn out. The handle to rest your hand has a rip in half. The seat (driver's) is also being worn. I'm not sure if the leather is bad quality because it's only been about 7 years of use and the leather is being worn out. Additionally, the back seats are in good condition unlike the passenger seat, which is beginning to mirror what the driver's looks like. I only mention this because I own other cars that are older, and I've had for a while and the leather isn't a problem. I wanted to know if this was a recall. Thank you.

2 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2007 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 12/20/2007

2nd row driver side seat has now had the recline lever broken twice. Both times I tried to lay the seat down flat so that I can utilize the cargo area and both times the plastic lever moved up in the correct direction but the seat wouldn't recline. The first time that this happened the seat back was already folded and I had to take the vehicle into the dealer so that I could use the seat for passengers. The second time that this happened the seat was open already and I attempted to fold it for cargo usage.

3 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2004 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 02/27/2007

- the contact owns a 2004 Nissan Quest with an odometer reading of 38,000 miles. The contact stated that the controls on the instrument panel were unsafe because they were hard to use while driving. When the contact would try to use the defroster it was difficult because of the location on the dashboard and caused a distraction while driving. She had to roll down the windows until she came to a stop to turn on the defroster. Also, the speedometer which was located on the center of the dashboard made it difficult to see. The driver stated that the only thing that was located in the dashboard with all the controls in the center was a storage compartment which was a dangerous design flaw. Nissan has since fixed the problem with the newer models. The contact felt that the recall solution for the middle seat latch was a bad solution because they only used four plastic pegs and a piece of cloth. The current mileage was 38,000. The consumer feels that the older designs she be recalled because it is too difficult to operate safely while driving. Update 4/25/tr.

4 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2005 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 10/17/2006

The 2005 Nissan Quest had a recall that prevented injury when folding down the middle seats. The NHTSA campaign numbers were 05v474000 and 05v480000. After having this recall performed on my vehicle, it is now almost impossible to attach a child restraint tether to the tether anchor point. I believe that the fix for this recall has caused an even more serious safety problem than the one it attempted to fix.

5 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2005 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 07/04/2006

I own a 2005 Nissan Quest minivan. The 2 seats in the middle of the van have curtains on the all around the bottom of the seat. These are constantly coming undone and spread out on the floorboard of the van. They are a tripping hazard and my daughter has tripped over them and fallen out of the van and landed on concrete. According to the dealer, the only recall is on the seats in the rear which they have repaired. I was informed to contact Nissan directly and they just referred me back to a dealer (the run-around!!)these curtains do not stay put and someone needs to fix them permanently before some child is seriously hurt.

6 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2004 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 03/24/2006

Dublin Nissan service department will not repair a recall issue on my vehicle. This Nissan dealer was to comply with a recall notice to remove my front passenger seat and ship it to a facility which would modify the occupant detection system and then return the seat. This was to be a free service. Because the vehicle was installed with after-market leather, to complete the recall service, the after-market leather needs to be replaced with standard leather but dublin Nissan service refuses to comply with the recall. This makes my vehicle unsafe to drive.

7 Mid/rear Seats Assembly problem of the 2004 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 01/27/2006

I received a recall notice on my 2004 Nissan Quest. The recall was for problems with the operation of the 2nd and 3rd row seats of the miniwan. Porter Nissan the dealer that I brought the car from has made it very difficult to schedule and appointment. The will not schedule the work on the weekends and they expect me to take up to three hours out of my workday to wait until they finish the repairs on my car. The hours that they have are not convenient for a person who works from 9-5 and they have refused to give me a loaner car.

Failure Date: 10/15/2005

We received a recall letter from Nissan on a seat problem on our 2005 Quest (VIN 5n1bv28u45n106163) launched in October 2005. Here it is end of March 2006 and I have not been able to get the defect repaired because of lack of availability of parts for my vehicle. I have called both the local dealer and the corporate office of Nissan and so far nobody has been able to tell me when the part will come in. The corporate office has not returned repeated requests for return calls. When I call I was given a file number of 5244929 and was supposed to get a call from a "specialist" named ronnie but I am still waiting.

Nhtsa campaign number: 05v474 1. Sliding 2nd row seat forward. 2. Pinch point near chair handle crushed the tip of my 3rd finger 3. Nissan ignored my concerns and told me it was my fault. They were put on notice in December 2003. They also sent their engineer out of chicago to inspect the problem. They stated no defect existed and no correction was needed. Nissan's file number on my complaint 439 2014 it is interesting to note Nissan's planned recall is 1 day after the statute of limitations for my injury and the 1st reported injury you have on file for the same date which occurred in plantation, FL.
