The car will not go when she come to stop at shakes and jerks, so hard you cannot accelerate once you come from a stop if you do the car dies the car dies when trying to merge onto the highway due to the acceleration especially on hot days almost died a few times on the way home from work hitting st. Louis traffic. The car is a piece of junk. Good luck surviving trying to drive it.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact noticed that the vehicle was jerking prior to the failure. The driver depressed the brake pedal but was concerned about the vehicle moving. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified however, no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000. The VIN was not available.
Im having issues accelerating since I purchased the car, the transmission is bad , there is cut electric wires by the brake and gas pedal. When breaking there's knocking, pinging, the brakes shakes. I almost got into 4 accidents with my family and child. I was told by dealer it was the reg gas I put in the tank but then got carfax history and seen a mechanic and was told transmission is bad the light is on dash. At 25mph the rpm jumps up and down. Gas tank reads incorrectly.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start-up. The vehicle was jump started after 15 minutes however, the steering wheel failed to operate as designed. The contact called an independent mechanic and was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The contact called berman Nissan of chicago (3456 n. Kedzie Ave, chicago, IL 60618, (312)778-6228. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact stated that the failure was like NHTSA campaign number: 11v565000 (steering). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 204,000.
While driving perticular in warmer weather the car shakes then slows down while I'm in high traffic very dangerous this happened twice had the car almost 2 years this July will be 2 years I'm very scared it does this and don't have money to fix .
2011 Nissan Rogue. Consumer stated that while driving the engine caught fire.
I am having the same issue that most people are complaining about. Vehicle will not accelerate after being driven for 45 minutes or longer. Happened to me four times while driving for 2 hours. Once on the highway and three other times on a city road with vehicles stuck behind me. One of those times I had no where to pull off and sat on the road. This should be a major concern for Nissan and the NHTSA. Sooner or later someone is going to get seriously injured or worse. Instead, we are pouring our money into a vehicle with no way to fix it. I have about 100,000 miles and kept a good job of maintenance on the vehicle. Please address this situation!.
Another in the long list of people who are experiencing vehicle disabling features due to Nissan's engineering failures. It's wild that there isn't more protection from huge corporate bullies like Nissan. Garbage product with no trust behind the name. My hope is that people read these and start telling Nissan with your wallets. Don't buy. Just like the others when car is in use for more than 45 minutes, heat causes the governor to disable speed to the point where my family has almost been rear ended on several occasions. This isn't a one time occurrence, it happens weekly. Nissan claims there is nothing wrong and/or no fix. Car is worth nothing and is barely worth driving. Way to stick it to the little guy Nissan.
I was driving on the njtp and the speed limit is 65 and my car wouldn't pass 40mph. I decided to get off on the next exit and when I came to the light I stopped. When the light turned green I couldn't move forward. I was stuck. After about 5 minutes I was able to go again. This is not the only time this has happened.
Vehicle has 149000 miles and machanic said transmisssion needs torque convertor clutch. Is there a recall for this item. Car would not go above 40 mph.
This vehicle is very dangerous to operate on warmer days. The transmission seems to overheat very easily causing the vehicle to go into a fail-safe "limp mode". This is very dangerous as it occurs on the highway, on hills, mountain roads, and with my children in the car. It has placed me in dangerous safety situations and the dealership and manufacturer acknowledge the issue exists but take no further action in correcting the dangerous flaw.
After stopping at stop signs or lights a super slow jerky take off. Also jerks and loses speed when going up hill. Had shut completely off on me at stop lights 3different times.
In motion on the highway the Rogue suddenly lost power. After stopping it slowly gained momentum. Hardly any pick up.
Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed with no warning lights illuminating. The contact also stated that after 20 minutes the vehicle would start back functioning normally. The vehicle was taken to campbell Nissan of edmonds 24325 wa-99, edmonds, wa 98026 (425) 774-2174 where a diagnostic test was done and the contact was informed that he needed to replace his transmission. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000. Dr.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of engine power. The failure occurred without warning. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,228.
On Sunday(12/3/17), I drove home from church, parked my car in front of my house and entered my house for less than ten minutes prior to my neighbor knocking on my door to notify me that my Nissan Rogue was engulfed in flames. I had no suspicion that anything was wrong with my vehicle to cause a fire. One block from my house I was pulled over by a cop, who notified me that she saw one of my headlights go out. There was no sound, light or smell that would have indicated a problem with my vehicle. I am grateful for being in my house at the start of the fire. I had no aftermarket upgrades done to my vehicle and it was regularly taken in for oil changes and to have tire maintenance. My concern is another Nissan Rogue owner will not be as lucky as I was and instead will be driving at the time of an engine fire.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle lost all power without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by two independent mechanics who diagnosed the failure as being related to the transmission, and advised the contact to take the vehicle to a Nissan dealer. The contact made an appointment with sandy sansing Nissan (5705 pensacola blvd, pensacola, FL 32505 (850) 378-3391). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 85,537.
While driving long distances at high speeds (75-80mph) the car suddenly stopped accelerating even with gas pedal floored. The car automatically decelerated to 50 mph and maxed out at 60 mph. We pulled the car over and checked all fluids, which proved normal. We turned the car off to let it cool for a few minutes. Once the car was turned back on it drove normally for about an hour and then the problem occurred again. This pattern continued for the entire 7 hour road trip. Once we took the car into a Nissan shop, we were told that nothing was found during diagnostic testing. We were also told this was a reoccurring problem with Nissan Rogues due to overheating of transmission/transmission fluid. It was explained to us that Nissan has not made a recall on this, but has only provided warranties for transmission issues on 2008-2010 models. Unfortunately mine is a 2011. This put my family in very dangerous situations as we were on interstates with cars and semi trucks traveling at very high velocities. Semi trucks were honking and flashing lights at us out of anger as it put them in danger as well. This could have easily caused a road rage incident.
Cvt transmission and cooler - vehicle randomly drops acceleration. When acceleration drops, the car will not go above 40mph even if you put the pedal to the floor, and the rpms rise to 8. No rhyme or reason. This is a known issue with this transmission. Nissan only extended warranty to 2010 models, yet this is the exact issue covered under the extended warranty. There are many other Nissan owners with 2011 models with the same exact issue.
A couple of times while driving the car stop suddenly without any warning and the engine slowly died. This is quite worrying because I am not sure how I would cope on a busy interstate road.
Takata recall I would like to inform everyone of our issue on our 2011 Nissan Rogue. While driving on the freeway we lost all power in an instant. This is not safe! we also saw the issue of not being able to accelerate and even when on cruise control it completely falling off due to lack of power.
The 2011 Nissan Rogue has a problem that is common with all of them. When going uphill in the vehicle it looses speed and can no longer accelerate. The car will slow down to around 40 mph. It depends usually on the grade of the hill. This is a safety issue as semi trucks can go faster than what the vehicle is going while going uphill. Cars are trying to pass semi trucks and if the semi truck has to slow down going up hill then they get road raged and this is very dangerous. Nissan will not recognize this issue and demand that an investigation be launched for this type of car. I know that many complaints have been submitted on multiple car complaint websites about this specific issue with this exact year and model of car. If it is happening in many of the vehicles then it is something that is built into the car that Nissan should know about and should be help responsible to fix. Another common result in all the vehicles, this issue just happens to occur right after the warranty expires. . . 50,000 miles.
When you press the gas pedal, the engine does not go. On numerous occasions, over ten, I have been driving on the interstate (approximately 70mph) and the vehicle begins to decelerate. It does it if the cruise control is set or if I am manually pressing the gas. It has dropped as low as 30 mph without recovery and I have to stop on the side of the road for 20-39 minutes and then attempt to drive again either very slowly (approximately 40 mph) and/or stop frequently to let the engine "rest".
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 30 mph, the transmission went into safe mode. The rpms increased and the vehicle was difficult to accelerate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.
While driving down the highway at highway speeds 75mph all of a sudden my vehicle would not go any faster than 40 mph, accelerator to the floor. This happened to me on a few different occasions, however no warning lights ever came on. If I pulled over and shit the car off it seemed to perform "normal" again. And this only happened to me when I was on the highway driving a long distance. Upon the return from my last "long" trip a light did come on. I tool it to my dealer immediately. The diagnosis in a valve body, which I understand is inside the transmission. The factory warranty has run out (by 6,000 miles) at this point and the dealer is saying that they wont replace the valve body without putting an "external coolant" on at the same time, because that is what Nissan is saying needs to be done to prevent this from happening again. My 3rd party warranty company will only cover the cost of the valve body replacement, because they feel it is not their responsibility to pay for something that Nissan should be going good for. Nissan wants to charge me $1000. 00 for that external coolant!!!! after doing my research, this is an on going problem and up until model year 2010 Nissan was going good for the issue. Anything beyond 2010 they will not. After contacting Nissan to request assistance for this, they informed me that my request was denied and that this is where they stand. My bigger issue is that how can a company as reputable as Nissan not go good for a manufacturing mistake on their part!? how is it my problem that they didnt out this coolant on in the first place, and how is it not a safety recall when you are driving on the highway at 70+ mph and then suddenly cant go any faster than 40!!? is it because nobody has been killed yet!? if you do your research you will clearly see that this is an on going issue with this vehicle as well as others manufactured by Nissan.
Car won't accelerate on freeway after driving for an hour. Also doesn't accelerate after leaving freeway and at a stop light. Scary and almost got into an accident.
At 67,000 both cv boots are blown, had to replace, now the cvt issue with the transmission, no acceleration, transmission gears reverse and drive, I want a refund. I purchased this used car 1 year and 3 months ago. Unsafe I have my children in the car. Vehicle can be at 60 mph, and then drop to nothing with no warning. I want a full refund of the purchase price I paid for it I am terrified to keep driving it.
I was driving home from a out of town trip and all of sudden lost power to accelerate. I couldn't not get any speed and cars were driving up behind me about to hit me and my family. I couldn't not accelerate enough to pull over. Nissan advised it was the cvt transmission which they are not recalling. This is dangerous.
This incident has occurred twice in exactly the same manner: I was stopped at a red light; when the light changed, and I pressed on the accelerator, there was no response as the car rolled into the middle of the intersection. I pushed several times as traffic waited behind me. Suddenly it "caught," the power returned, and I was able to continue (the engine did not rev when the accelerator was pressed). Like others, I am extremely concerned (as are those who commute with me), about being caught in the middle of a busy intersection and hit broad-sided. We took the vehicle to the dealship which was unable to indentify the problem. This vehicle also has a problem with a blinking air-bag warning light (began in oct. ) which we tried to have fixed at the same time. The dealership reset it, but upon driving out the of the lot, it began blinking again. We were told it was a "possible intermittent problem with air bag module or spiral cable," an expensive repair which has not been completed yet.
I was traveling down I-95 with the flow of traffic at a speed of 75 -78 mph from maryland to georgia, somewhere along north carolina my engine started to loose acceleration. It did not die out. I had to pull over because it would not go over 60 mph with the gas peddle press all the way down. Once I turn the rouge off and waited about 5 minutes I heard a click and started it vehicle up and drove with no problems until I was about a 100 miles from georgia and had to do it all over again. There was no codes lights and I still put a reader on it and nothing showed up. It has been puzzling if you accelerate for to long and the vehicle slows down in traffic.
This happens every time I drive more than 50 miles at a time . If I am driving for a long time and slow down my car does not accelerate anymore. I ha e to shut my car off for at least 5 min. Before I can start driving again. Something is wrong with the power train. It struggles to keep up and almost sounds like the car is going to die. I have taken it to Nissan dealerships 3 times before my extended warrently was up and paid $100 every time they told me there was nothing wrong after the hook it up to the computer.
Was driving my 2011 rouge home on a 120 mile trip on the interstate and after about and hour of driving the call suddenly refused to accelerate past 3000 rpm. There was about 20 miles between exists and this became a safety concern while trying to climb an incline; the car decelerated from 70 mph to 45 mph and I could not do enough to get out of the way of other traffic. After 15 miles or so of driving, it returned to normal. It has since occurred 3 more times while driving on the interstate for trips over an hour. I took it to a Nissan dealership on 4/21/14 and was told they couldn't do anything because no codes were produced.
Traveling on interstate from columbia, SC to clinton, SC 2011 Nissan Rogue began loosing power and would not maintain highway speed when climbing hills. With accelerator pushed to floor vehicle speed dropped from 70 down to 50-55 on inclines. Deceleration continued as long as vehicle was on incline. Speed increased when vehicle crested hill. Pulled over, checked transmission fluid and allowed vehicle to cool. Once vehicle cooled problem corrected and we were able to return to columbia. Took vehicle to dick smith Nissan in lexington SC for repair. Dealer was unable to recreate problem and indicated no codes indicated. Problem reoccurred in may 2014 when returning to lexington, SC from charleston. After approximately 45 minutes at highway speed (70-75 mph) problem re-occurred. Same symptoms - loss of acceleration on inclines - caused vehicle to drop from traffic and unable to maintain safe speed. Pulled over at rest area - checked vehicle. Again reported problem to dealer but unable to recreate problem. October 2014 - problem reoccurred traveling from lexington to atlanta. Same symptoms loss of power and speed on uphill grade - unable to maintain highway speed. Exited highway at augusta after 1 hour on interstate. When tried to turn left from stop off of exit ramp -pushed accelerator - vehicle started forward and then lost power in intersection blocking two lanes of cross traffic. Vehicle crept through intersection very lucky we were not struck by cross traffic. Plan to return vehicle to dealer again.
On numerous occasions when trying to accelerate the car will lose power to the point it almost fills as if it will shut off. Usually happens when starting off on a grade or slowing for a turn then pushing the gas pedal. The car also shudders and feels like it chugging or wobbling along, as if the road it lumpy. I have seen numerous complaints on the issue, but no recall or service bulletins have been issued. When it almost completely loses power its very scary, as it has happened while trying to merge onto the interstate. I have a young child and it has put us both in danger more than once since buying the car used in July 2013.
