The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle at 2 mph, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward. The vehicle jumped the curb, past the banquet with bushes, and crashed into the building in front. Parts of the vehicle caught onto the bushes, holding the vehicle while still crashing into the building. The air bags did not deploy. The police were not contacted. There was no police report. There were no injuries. The vehicle was damaged on the front end. The contact received assistance pushing the vehicle back into the parking space. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline to file a safety complaint. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.
Airbag indicator, driver side warning lamps have been consistently on for the past 2 weeks now. Bought it used, but owned the vehicle for 2 years now. Called the Nissan authorized dealership, will charge me for diagnostic service.
The passenger airbag light always reads off even when someone is sitting in the passenger seat.
Air bag light is on telling that is mulfunctioning.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger’s side air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The contact's daughter owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the front passenger's side air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the front passenger's seat occupant classification system (OCS) electronic control unit (ecu) and the seat sensors needed to be replaced. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 16v911000 (air bags); however, the dealer informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where the same assessment was made, and the mechanic determined that the front passenger's seat assembly and seat belt assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
The airbag passenger light has been showing off for about 2 years and on 4/30/25 showed the passenger air bag on the main panel in red color. I bring it today 5/2/25 to the Nissan dealer and they said is not a recall and they didn’t fix it. I been reading that actually is a recall and something can explode and is not recommended to drive the car under this sing.
My front airbag light was illuminated during normal every day usage of the vehicle. The vehicle was not involved in an incident, fire, or crash. The vehicle was inspected by the dealership and I was advised that one of the air bags is not operational anymore which in turn would affect the rest of the airbags. The vehicle is only 7 years old. My safety and the safety of my family and passengers is at great risk while operating the vehicle. The cost for this repair is 4k+. I could understand being responsible for this repair if something happened to the vehicle but nothing did. I feel this should be the responsibility of the manufacturer or dealership to repair.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the airbag warning light would remain illuminated. Also while driving the transmission would not switch out of first gear. The vehicle was restarted and the failure was corrected. The cause of the failures were not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified. The failure mileage was 80,000.
On September 22, 2022, my car was hit from the rear. The car hit me so hard that their front end was totalled. On Nov. 28, 2022, the car dealership ( nash Chevrolet) was able to fix my car from the accident and after fixing my car, they called to tell me my air bag light had came on. They couldn't find the issue, didn't think it was from the accident and stated that Nissan would need to fix it. Nissan is refusing to fix the air bag unless I pay for it out of pocket.
My battery completely drained around 24,000 miles, my car just hit 31,000 miles. My air bag light stays on continuously, after this happened my drivers side window quit working, worked fine no noise or anything, then 1 minute later quit working. The lock, unlock button on the outside door handle quits working at times. The remote, key fob doesn't work all the time even after replacing the battery in it. At least 1 to 2 times a week my radio and navigation system won't come on when I start my cars, I have to turn off the car 2 to 3 times to get it to start working. Sometimes the power tailgate won't work for days at a time with the button inside the car. Sometimes the button to start the car does nothing, just have to keep trying. Random warning lights will come on while driving then just turn off. Sometimes both myself and others in the car smell something electrical burning. All of this started within a few days of each incident.
The front seat wiring is too short so anytime the seat is pushed back it triggers the airbag light and turns off all the airbags. I called Nissan about it and they stated since I don’t have an active recall (even though there is a recall on this same issue) that they will not pay to have it fixed.
While pulling into a parking slot the vehicle accelerated and crashed thru the front of a medical clinic and into an inner wall. Air bags did not deploy.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated the air bag warning indicator light was illuminated, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired, the manufacturer was notified who referred contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000. The contact stated the failure was similar to NHTSA campaign number: 16v911000 (air bags).
When I got into a car crash and I hit the deer really hard the airbags on the car did not deploy which where the deer almost smacked right into my window and went inside the car but damage and vehicle was not drivable at all need to tow it shop front car damaged to wheel at.
Passenger air bag light goes on and off whether there is an adult in the seat or not. There are a few recalls for this issue but my VIN does not come up as an affected vehicle. There are several complaints of the same nature on the NHTSA website and I feel Nissan needs to look into this issue.
The passenger airbag sensor is faulty, it randomly turns on and off indiscriminately when an adult is in the seat. I have already reached out to Nissan because there is a similar recall but my VIN isn’t covered in it. Nissan was unwilling to help and even when I took it to the Nissan dealer they refused to change out the sensor. This is life threatening if the car gets in an accident and an adult is in the passenger seat, but the airbag does not deploy.
Every other time when I start my Nissan in the morning, the red light for the airbag on the dashboard comes on. If I shut the vehicle down and re-start it again and the light goes away. If I let the light stay on without restarting the vehicle and drive it, the light never goes away till I shut off the vehicle.
The transmission is slipping on this vehicle and isn't part of the models that was recalled but is the same year as the other recalls.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would jerk upon depression of the gas pedal without warning. She also stated that vehicle would stall upon depression of the gas pedal to the floorboard as a red indicator light would intermittently flash on the instrument panel. Additionally, she mentioned that her trunk would fail to open and that her passenger airbag warning light would intermittently illuminate without an occupant in the seat. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
When an adult passenger sits in front passenger seat, the passenger air bag "off" light on the dash remains on!!! indicating the passenger air bag is turned off even though an adult passenger is sitting on the seat. At rest and in motion.
There was an accident where the car was hit in the front left drivrs side, damage from the door all the way to the front. Car was pushed quite a few feet into another car. The air bags didn't go off. Head and face made contact with the drivers side window. The other car involved deployed the airbags. Our vehicle was in motion on a city street going straight.
The passenger airbag off light turns on when passenger is seated and the light turns off when seat is empty. This seems like a very big safety issue since the airbag will not go activate when someone is seated.
The srs light on my 2016 Nissan Rogue went on. When I took it to the dealership, they told me they need to replace the airbag to try and solve the issue which is very costly. They told me there is a 50/50 chance this will fix the problem. I have an extended warranty which excludes anything to do with the airbag system. The airbag system should not be having issues this early on in the car's life. There has been no accident/collision. I definitely think this has to be a defect with the car itself. And I'm responsible for the costs out of pocket. This is clearly a safety issue.
On 7/2/2018 I was on a highway and a van pulled out across my lane and I could not avoid hitting him behind the drivers door. I was going 45-50 mph and none of my air bags deployed. I turned slightly to the left to lessen the blow. My damage was all of the front bumper, hood, busted radiator, passenger side door, front right wheel, passenger side mirror. Glass was on the dashboard from something. I'm not sure about any mechanical issues yet although I'm sure there will be many. I had warnings going off al in the car. I was injured in my chest, sternum, neck and shoulders. I was thrown forward and back and to the side violently. I cannot believe none of my airbags went off. I could not breathe and was very scared. I went to the hospital and am still healing from this. I could have been killed if my sternum or rib had of broke or punctured something. I feel this was a fast enough speed that something should have deployed. This could keep my vehicle from being totaled and I don't want it back. I don't know what type of airbags mine has or if there was a recall.
Takata recall air bag hazardous. Light is on on passenger side indicating trouble. Also, the vehicle seems to loose power during acceleration while in motion.
I see 5 recalls for my car but I get letter from the manufacturer for 2 recall but I do not know what is other three. After I get the letter I went to the dealer and the fixed the air bags. As soon as I drive the car 10 miles, the same thing happen again passenger site air bag sign always show up. 2016 car not cooling properly only the fan running in the car when I turn on a/c.
Front passenger air bag disabled light intermittently turns on, indicating air bag is disabled, while that seat is occupied. This occurs while in motion, and at any arbitrary time or speed. There is a similar recall on this, but evidently this vehicle is not included, as it is listed as no recalls.
Takata recall.
Last year I was rearended while waiting to make a left hand turn and my airbag didn't deploy. The impact of the accident was hard enough that my l-5 vertebrae was broken and displaced a centimeter away from severing my spinal cord. It didn't occur to me until my deposition and the lawyers were asking me why the airbag didn't deploy that there could be a problem. I was sitting stationary on hwy 80 e in statesboro georgia waiting to make a left turn into babcock and more home furnishings when I was struck from behind. There is no turn lane it's a 4 lane highway and I was in the left lane with my turn signal in.
I purchased a 2016 Rogue from cool springs Nissan on 11/16/2016 and took delivery on 11/17 2016. Upon arrival to take delivery we noticed that the ars light was on and contacted the salesman to see what the problem was, he took the new vehicle to the service dept. And was told that the unit was safe to drive so we took the vehicle thinking we were ok. I came home and read the manual and realized that the airbags were actually not going to work if we were in a wreck. I called the dealer service dept. The first thing the next morning and was told to bring it in on 11/19 and they would try to fix. Upon arrival at dealer we were then told that the vehicle should have never been allow to leave their lot. They put us in a rental. They returned the car to us 11/22 and we guess it was fixed ( the lite is not on). Is there not some kind of law that would keep dealers from putting people in danger?.
Please read documentation on the recall of my car. I did my best to take care of the recall that you authorized.
Air bag recall.
