The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the carpet on the front driver’s and passenger’s side was wet. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the source the leak was not found. The failure persisted and the rear carpet also became wet. The vehicle was taken to another dealer and the contact was informed that the source of the leak was coming from the sunroof. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 22v875000 (electrical system). The contact stated that the work performed in the recall repair had led to the moisture inside the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 46,807.
The trunk lift gate opens then closes. The safety feature in which it will open if it is close to coming into contact with an object does not work. Sometimes the malfunction is delayed and if an individual is reaching into the trunk , it will come down on their head and possibly close them between the liftgate and the trunk. The trunk was inspected by a Nissan service parts place and they said it coded for needing new spindles which is a $1300 part that is on national back order without an eta. This presents safety issue because it can cause head injury and possible body injury if a smaller sized individual gets closed between the liftgate and the trunk.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the driver seat failed to move forward or backwards. They had to make several attempts and use an excessive amount of force to move the seat. The dealer had repaired the seat where it was able to move forward and backwards, however, not up or down. The contact then stated that while their husband was driving approximately 60 - 70 mph the instrument panel suddenly glitched and the vehicle failed to accelerate. It seemed like the vehicle was coasting only. The center computer began turning off and on. The vehicle self-corrected. Next, the front passenger side window failed to move up and down till the driver side window had been moved first. Later that same day, while their husband was driving (mileage unknown) the vehicle suddenly shut completely off. The driver waited a few minutes and was able to drive the vehicle back home where they parked the vehicle. After being parked for approximately an hour the contact was informed by the police that their vehicle had caught on fire and been put out by the fire department. A police report was filed. There were no injuries, no medical attention needed and no damage. The vehicle had been towed to their insurance company to be evaluated. The vehicle was deemed totaled. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
Car died, now warning light came on malfunctioning of ebs. Cruise control cuts off for no reason. Car breaks on it on. Almost causing accident. It is now in the shop for a brand new transmission!!! and ebs bad sensors. I do not want the car back. Please make them but it back. Also there is a bad ground when using the bluetooth, but they can’t seem to notice it.
The cooling fan for my 2017 Nissan Rogue is defective. The repair shop said there are 2 to three month backlogs to replace the defective fans in the Rogue model because the initial version of the fan as defective (apparently here are 100os of Rogues broken down waiting for the new version of the fan). This is a safety issue as well as a product defect issue as a vehicle breakdown in traffic is possible due to this defect. The defective fans are still being sold on the market and Nissan is not acknowledging the problem.
The cooling fan supposedly has failed. The car is certified preowned, but of course this component is not covered. The car has been towed to middletown Nissan in NY. We have been told the fan is on back order and they have had the car for three weeks now. My issue is they tell me there is three other vehicles ahead of ours also waiting on a fan. When I inquired with another Nissan dealer(thruway Nissan) about the price of the fan ($420)I was told that it would be on back order and there was 3 other cars ahead of mine waiting on these fans. This car has 35,000 miles on it. It seems awefully suspicious that 7 cars only 4 years old had these fans fail within a 40 mile radius. Should'nt someone question if this should be investigated for a recall?this was quoted as an $880 job.
In this report: on my vehicle, the cooling fan assembly completely went out without warning, and when I seen the temp gauge starting to climb to the hot, I immediately shut the engine off. Bobb's automotive checked it out and stated that the cooling fan faulted out. This auto repair shop also stated that the actual whole system faulted out on over 150+ other vehicles acrossed the country. And with this being said: Nissan is aware of the faulty systems. They are in the process of totally redesigning of the cooling fan system. I further found out that Nissan is not covering the cost of the part, nor are they imposing a recall on these faulty cooling fan systems. At this point, my car has been in the shop on the account of no cooling fans available in the USA. But at the same time Nissan infact is admitting guilt at this time, but not issuing a recall . Somthing should be done to warn other Nissan vehicle owners before they experiance the same issue, and which they may already have, but has yet been reported. Plus my oppinion is this, . . . . . If they are totally redesigning the cooling fan system, there is a reason. . . They know the issue and still want to pass these faulty cooling fans off on their vehicles.
Starting around 26,000 miles, this new to us SUV started to glitch in the electronics. The air will turn hot, the radio will turn off, then the air bag lights flicker, then it states that the vehicle is overheating(every physical examination indicates it is not). You can turn the vehicle off and one time it won't glitch and the next time it will. If you leave the vehicle running for too long, it behins to glitch more and more. To the point where if we were to drive a long distance I am afraid it could turn the vehicle off while driving. We are trying to get a service center to duplicate. If you have this year model and notice your air feel a bit warm and radio go in and out, watch your heat gage, that is how it starts to mess up.
Air bag light stays on. The OCS indicator in the drivers seat has malfunction.
When the weather gets cold the windows do not go down and the heat does not turn on at all.
Starting from 2017 up until 8/5/2019 after obtaining my 2017 Nissan rouge my initial complaint was the seat, it is horrible, my complaints brought no results from Nissan. Then after I began to notice while driving a loud humming sound as if the car was out of gear and the car would slow to a halt or stall/stop while driving or I would pull over because of the familiar sound, not sure what the matter was then I would see this funny little symbol like a crash of something of sort. This happened several times but this last time it had a blatantly flash the little crash symbol came up again but now with an explanation mark and a consistent warning telling me it was a malfunction the car came to a halt before I could pull out the shell gas station. I'm so thankful that it stopped at the station instead of happening as I merged into traffic as it had in the past. I called the dealership and they at 1st I was told they were swamped and I had to make an appointment when my call was transferred so I could make my appointment I explained the situation to customer service agent and she contacted the repair supervisor; I think his name was steve or stephen and he advised her to tell me to tow the car to the dealer ship because trying to drive it would be dangerous. Once I made it home I tuned into the news and there was an investigative report on abc 7 chicago news saying that many have similar complaints as mine. I am very afraid to continue driving this car; it needs to be recalled because it is dangerous and I no longer trust the vehicle.
Traveling at 70 mph on i45, temperature in the 90's and high humidity. Suddenly, the console started to blink and beep with a warning tone, had to cross 3 lanes at high speed, as fast as possible to take the first exit available. I had no idea what to expect. Early that day, while parked at the beach, the car turn off by itself, I turned the ignition key and it started immediately, but we decided to go home. Believe me, reducing the speed would had caused an accident, but crossing the lanes that fast was really scary and dangerous. Meanwhile, my husband started to hyperventilate and we both were shaking. It was an extremely dangerous situation. I entered a parking lot, did not turn off the car and told my husband that dying for a car was not worth it, that we were safe, but I was trembling. Now, what to do? the event stopped as suddenly as it started, we decided to push forward and try to make it home 49. 1 miles away. We arrived home and the event did not happen again. I don't know if it is an electric or electronic problem.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed the battery leaking acid from the cap. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to treiber Nissan (located at 320 n comrie Ave, johnstown, NY 12095, (844) 634-4150) to be diagnosed, but no failure was found. The contact stated that the dealer cleaned the acid from the battery. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 26,700.
A few times on a cool start in the morning it doesn't fully turn over. I wait a few seconds and turn key again then it turns over. A few time while backing up out of my work spot, the car jumps like it is going to kill. As soon as I hit brake it revs back up and then I can go. Today I left work, then at a stop sign my car killed. I really didn't think much, until it killed. I will be calling service department tomorrow.
My passenger side warning light stays on continuously, even when someone is using it. I've ask dealership several times and last time they finally checked and said that something to do wiring and that if I had a crash that either airbags will deploy. And that it will cost me almost 3000. 00 to fix. Is this something that is part of a recall that can be fixed? without me paying for? that requires alot of money out of my pocket that I don't have. Thanks.
This has occurred while in motion on both a highway and a city street, especially after raining. The aeb sensors, particularly the front one, will start beeping although there is no one in front of me. It has happened twice where the front sensor activated and the cars emergency brake turned on unexpectedly. We were going roughly 35 miles per hour.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 50 mph, the sensor in the front bumper engaged and locked the brakes, causing the vehicle to slow down. The "system lock-down" indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ted russell Nissan (865-223-6744, located at 8565 kingston pike, knoxville, TN 37919) where the sensors were replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered to pay 50 percent of the repair costs. The vehicle was repaired, but the contact stated that the safety issue was not addressed. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000. The VIN was not provided.
Vehicle was purchased new in April of 2018. Three months in, we were no longer able to control the function that allows no outside air into the cabin. This means that the front windshield is constantly fogged on cold mornings, throughout the day and at night (especially on rainy days). On warm days, the cabin smells like mildew because the air is constantly flowing in. Not to mention the exhaust smell that enters the cabin. This happens all the time now. We've come to learn that no matter what mode the system is left on; face, feet, face/feet, etc. (except defroster mode), the system is always locked/stuck now. The button that stays locked is the one that allows outside air into the cabin (picture named control panel) and the only way to turn this function off is by physically pressing the auto, then mode, then inside air buttons on the control panel. There have been a few times that it actually stays locked and cannot be taken off.
While driving down the highway the power dropped to the car. The rpms dropped down to almost zero, the power to the radio and fan motor stopped as well. I went from 65 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour in a matter of seconds. Thankfully I was not hit by another car. The second issue is that the engine feels like it might stall upon start after sitting all day. This has happened multiple times. The third issue is that the bluetooth radio system has a whistling sound when trying to use this and be safe while driving. The fourth issue is that the interior back door pulls to close the door both pop out and cannot be pushed back into place. The vehicle has been away from me for a significant amount of time so Nissan can try and make repairs. Consumer affairs told us that simply there was no fix for the bluetooth issue and that the back door pulls was a design flaw from the manufacturer.
Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving, the vehicle stalled without warning. Waning lights did illuminate during the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer: pine belt Nissan of keyport 111 NJ-36, keyport, NJ 07735 who could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 5,900. Hk.
While on city streets, trying to come to a stop I applied the breaks and nothing happened, I then had to let off the pedal and reapply pressure to bring the car to a stop. I took the car into a Nissan dealership and they refused to look at the car because I have had it in to have the breaks, engine hesitation, extended engine crank, and an a/c problem fixed 6 times in 5 months. Nissan has a TSB out for an electrical problem that has them reset the computer but it does not fix any issues. Nissan told me to get the problems to stop I need to cycle the key. When I asked what that meant they said to stop the car, put it in park, turn the car off, and turn it back on. I said even if it happens when I am driving at 70 mph on the highway? they said yes.
Tl - the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. While driving at 40 mph, the contact stated that the vehicle just stopped in the middle of the street. The contact pushed on the acceleration several times and the vehicle began to drive as regular. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (advantage Nissan:939 old country rd, westbury, NY 11590) where the technician informed the contact that there was no fix for this failure and gave a loaner car for a unknown period of time. The manufacturer was notified and expressed the same thing as the dealer said. The vehicle had not been repaired. The VIN search revealed no recalls associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was 5,000. Nb.
2017-Nissan Rogue sport; driving on hwy 41, the Rogue loses power/power failure and almost comes to a complete stop. The Rogue then comes back up and continues up hwy 41. The rear stop lights did not come on when the power went down. I was on a 5 lane hwy and could have been hit from behind. Also, would not have been able to get out of the car since I was in the middle lane. In speaking with the dealerships, this appears to be a known issue. I took it to autonation Nissan they kept it for two days. When I picked the Rogue up from their call, it did not and has not driven the same; I explained this to the tech. When he test drove it with us, he gunned it going up a hill, the engine just raced, the car did nothing. He immediately turned to a downhill rd and took the car back tot the dealership. This is a major safety issue which I've been through this before with Nissan. Everyone at the dealerships wants to say and talk about electrical issues, first thing the check. I spoke with a person at the dealership that advised they do what Nissan tells them to do. So it appears the safety issue continues, Nissan has the reset the computer to new settings and the problems and safety issue in our opinion is never addressed. I now have a 2017 Rogue sport with safety issues and sounds like an old car on its last leg after the dealership is done with it. Its time Nissan steps up to the plate and fixes the problem.
Nissan Rogue sport 2017 with 2k miles. Car has issues starting. Engine will turn over a couple times before starting. On 11. 29. 2017, car stalled at a stop sign and engine completely turned off. It took two tries for the car to start up again. Brought to Nissan reno immediately. Nissan reno called on 11. 30. 2017 stating the dx test came back without any negative results. Nissan stated that the car started fine for them and test drove it. Check engine light it not on. Extremely concerned as this is a major safety concern. What if I was on the freeway or major hwy and the engine would just turn off? I don't feel comfortable driving my brand new car that I've only owned for one month. This issue, if occurs again can cause injury to myself or another individual.
Vehicle has two issues, seems to be temperature related. When the temperature drops below 35 degrees, the yellow light indicating that immediate braking is required, is engaged and blinking when vehicle is turned on. (while parked or driving) light stays on, while driving, even though there are no obstructions in the road or vehicles' cameras. It goes off, after driving for approx 5-10 minutes. When the temperature is above freezing (warmer months) a hard brake will cause the center console display and the functionality of hands-free cell use, to turn off. After a few seconds, the display resets and turns on (reboots) on it's own. If speaking to someone via hands free, when turnoff occurs, it will automatically reconnect call, after reboot. (if caller stays on the line) the vehicle's dashboard has displayed all warning lights and sounded all audible alarms, several times, while driving under normal conditions (both street and highway driving). While these situations are unnerving and annoying, they did not seem to affect the actual handling of the vehicle. The vehicle remains under power and in gear. Concerned that one of these events may actually trigger the brake or cause the vehicle to turn off, while under normal driving conditions. Or, not work, when they are actually required. . Vehicle has been back to dealer, for these specific issues, several times. After replacing console and doing computer updates, vehicle is released as "fixed". Vehicle is still experiencing these issues. This has been happening since the car was received (new from the Nissan dealer) up to the present time.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the speedometer failed without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 130. The VIN was not available.
