The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 30 mph just after a snowstorm, approaching an intersection, and attempting to slow the vehicle, the abs failed to prevent the brakes from locking, causing the vehicle to skid. As a result, the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and only came to a complete stop after colliding with a snowbank approximately 200 yards from the roadway. The contact also stated that at that same moment, his wife became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort in her attempt to regain control of the vehicle. The side curtain air bags were deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who had yet to provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact stated that he and his wife both sustained various injuries as a result of the failure: scratches, bruises, and burns possibly caused by the curtain airbag deployment. However, they did not immediately seek medical treatment but planned to at a later date. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 109,000.

On 4-27-2023 with no warning light's or any symptoms of problems, I made a left turn at a busy intersection and upon acceleration of the gas the car felt as if wanted to stall. I had a brief decline in power with a bit of locking of the steering wheel then it jolted forward and ran normal. I'm glad I was only a half mile from home to park it safely. On 4-28-2023 I was able to drive it a mile from home without incident to have the oil changed, as well as fuel injectors cleaned and radiator serviced, in hope that it would help with the issue, but it did not. I was able to get it home and as I was about to parallel park I put it in reverse and turned my wheels and it began locking of the wheels on and off. I am blessed to have made it home and not be on the road with my family.
-engine light was on and Nissan ran a diagnostic and found the code number p0603 and needs a new ecm -this could cause an accident as the driver can loose control of vehicle at any moment causing the driver and others at high risk -the problem was confirmed by the dealer service center -the engine light was the only indicator and other private car auto body stated the battery needed replacement but Nissan ran a diagnostic to find it was the ecm.

I recently got into to a car accident on , 9/15/2019. I hit a parked car in order to avoid an accident. I was not going no more than 10-15 miles per hour on a city street as I steered the car towards the right side to avoid an accident on the left side and my axle cracked. The police officer on the scene suggested I reach out to the manufacturer as he stated that the axle was not suppose to crack with such a minor incident. Per his suggestion I am writing to you.
On August 22, 2019, while driving the automatic emergency breaking system engaged (flashing lights, warning beeps and a grinding noise) while I was driving about 30 to 40 mph, causing the car to stall and forcibly jerk. This almost caused me to get rear ended. There was no obstruction ahead. This had already happened 2 other times and the dealership could not find anything wrong with it. I took it immediately after it happened the third time.
At 8000 miles, I had to have the right front strut replaced, and now I have 23,000 miles on it and I am going on my 4th strut, right front. A popping clicking noise when I turn or back up. Driving a 4 hr trip, while driving about 3 hrs, the air conditioning froze up and stopped working. I could hear the fan on full blast but nothing was coming out. I turned it off for 20 minutes and then it came back on with cool air. It is in the shop now for a heater/cooler box and the 4th strut replacement.
While driving on the highway in the rain, the radio stopped responding and eventually went black, the headlights went out although they were marked on inside the vehicle, odometer also became unresponsive. While steering to the left the vehicle went right instead.
I was purchased a nissa vehicle from weston Nissan at Dec 2018, after few months Nissan corporate called me that they need to take back to switch to another one, ends up I found out the car is not original from japan it was defective one with aftermarket air bag, and all wires from air bag has been cutting before the sold to me, the car still seating my garage with no driving, I would like to know if I can get my money back since this is not the originals as what they said, I m worried to drive so I decided not to drive it, thanks again.
This car has a serious default Rogue sport model 2017. You drive the car up to 50mph and it stops down to 20mph without any notice. It does ! symbol in the middle and wihthout warning you lose control of the car and it goes down to a low mph. This is so dangerous if someone is driving behind you closely. This has happened to be on highways as well as local area streets. The car is leased and not even 1 year old. Nissan has not taken this serious and a lot more people have complained, they dont care and I hope you demand they look into this. It has happened 5x in less than a year. I have been in touch with Nissan consumer affairs and no one cares!!!!!!!! I refuse to drive this car, its dangerous! someone at corporate must taken action.
I was traveling on the interstate approximately 72 to 74 miles per hour when the steering wheel locked up and I immediately lost control of the vehicle. My first reaction was to press the brakes. I then was thrown into the median and hit the guardrail and all of the driver side airbags deployed. I had to seek medical attention.
I heard a very slight noise but no one else could hear it. After about 5 months I took the car to the dealer and he couldn't hear it. 3 more months went by and I insisted that I wanted to test drive it again with a young person who could hear well. The noise was confirmed. I have a bent axle, bent strut and worn bearings.
