Seat Belt problem #1

Passenger seat belt is hard to latch and hard to unlatch. Feels like something is stuck.

Seat Belt problem #2

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the seat belt alarm for the front driver’s and front passenger’s side seat belts failed to notify the driver whenever the seats were occupied but the seat belts were not buckled. The symbol showing that the seat belts needed to be buckled was displayed; however, the warning chime failed to sound as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that it was normal. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested that the vehicle be taken to another dealer to be diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

Seat Belt problem #3

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the audible seat belt warning would not activate when the seat belts were not used to secure the front occupants. Additionally, the rear liftgate would not completely close and sometimes would not completely open. The contact stated that while driving, an erroneous message intermittently indicated that the vehicle had crashed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced sensors to repair the failure, but the failure persisted. No further information was available. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 16,000.

Seat Belt problem #4

I was involved in a car accident and a minor was in the backseat driver side his seatbelt and buckled during the accident and will no longer click. The seatbelt is broken.

Seat Belt problem #5

The seat belts in the back seat do not work properly, the one on the left doesn't come out, the one on the right will not go back in place.

Seat Belt problem #6

I bought this vehicle from carmax on 12/05/2020. I never was able to take a test drive due to the pandemic. However, when I was driving home my sister took off her seat belt when we were in the parking lot in my apartments. I noticed the seatbelt didn't chime. So I took it back to the dealership the following day and they couldn't figure it out. They had me take it to a Nissan dealer and they ran the test thing on it and said that, that particular Nissan didn't come with the chime. So I ordered a manual for the car and it says it does. I think it's a big safety hazard. 80% of the time I forget to put on my seat belt when I first get in it. Why would they not add this to the 2019 Rogue sport? I originally bought the 2020 and it chimed.

Seat Belt problem #7

Srs light will not go off like past Rogue issues.

Seat Belt problem #8

I am the owner of a 2019 Nissan Rogue and I have learned that this SUV (and perhaps other Nissans as well) only has 4 quiet chimes that sound when starting up the car to remind the driver and passengers to buckle up. There is no audible chime after that should anyone not buckle up. Only a visual icon buried in the dashboard panel shows the seatbelt(s) have not been engaged. So for example if the driver or passenger do not engage their seat belts, their drive whether around the corner to a neighborhood store or a 200 mile journey to visit friends will result in no audible reminder to the car passengers. They will not have their seatbelts on for their trip unless the drivers notices the icon and reminds them. Additionally if you are driving on a highway and disengage your seatbelt, (to reach for your wallet, cell phone, keys) there is no audible chime to remind the driver or passenger to (re)buckle up. I have spoken to service at Nissan and Nissan corporate and they see no problem with this. I find this to be a dereliction of safety on the part of Nissan and feel they need to recall their cars, and install an audible chime whenever the car is in motion and passengers are not wearing their seatbelts. There are too many distractions built into our lives, and not having this safety belt reminder can and will cause many injuries for Nissan automobile drivers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
