I believe my cars computer is being hacked. Some things I’ve noticed are stereo issues the volume goes up and down or the music skips intermittently. Some times the music turns off. The collision symbol prompts on the dash. Acceleration issues. Antilock breaks don’t work, sometimes. Safety features are being turned off. My maps goes offline. My update for maps in nebraska isn’t listed but all the other states are listed. Awd button doesn’t work, sometimes. I am worried for my safety. I took it to Nissan and they updated the sonar component system. It helped some. Stereo issues are still present. Music is still turning off by itself. Volume is still going up and down and the radio not a cd is skipping intermittently. Nissan stated they have no testing to see if any malware has been installed. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs. They are chosing to do nothing at this time.
While driving one day in November 2024, the master warning light and the automatic emergency braking system off warning light came on. With 2 malfunction warnings: “not available system malfunction with the lane departure warning symbol” and “aeb malfunction”. If you try to use cruise control a loud siren is alerted since these 2 malfunctions are happening. Took it to the Nissan dealership where I bought it and was told there was a lane camera with an open circuit and to replace it when my windshield crack since it was close to $2,000.
I was driving alone on city streets approx 35 mph when the car suddenly braked for no apparent reason. There was no one close ahead or (luckily) close behind me, but there could easily have been. There was no heads up warning, just sudden braking. I have not taken it to repair shop because I just don't have the time or capacity.
Aeb activates randomly without any warning. Happens quarterly since 2022.
On September 1, 2023, I was headed north on I-95 in north carolina. I was involved in a 3 car pileup where the automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning on my 2021 Nissan Rogue failed to activate. My vehicle had adas but almost killed my mother and me since they did not work. The car was totaled and the state trooper wrongfully cited me for failure to reduce speed even though my foot was firmly on the brakes. The airbags were severed during impact and failed to deploy.
Aeb/abs braking system lights came on. I've had prior electrical problems with this car so I assumed it was an electrical malfunction. When I took it to the Nissan dealership they told me there was a brake fluid leak in the abs actuator. The warning lights started Friday August 4th 2023. I took it in to get diagnosed Thursday August 10th 2023. I bought my 2021 Rogue in Jan. 2023 from carvana with no knowlege of accidents or prior issues within the first few weeks I had issues with the distance sensor which Nissan recplaced. I have not had any accidents with the car since I've owned it.

Automatic braking front and rear work sporadically and in most condition not predicable. Dealer tells me it’s working as designed. System very dangerous.
The automatic emergency braking has activated randomly while in reverse and in drive on many occasions. These instances have almost gotten my hit while on the interstate as well as other busy highways in fort lauderdale. The car has been inspected on multiple occasions by Nissan and they have been unable to fix it and merely suggest turning off this feature. The front braking sensors have malfunctioned and I have the warning notifications. The radio unit continues to go blank without any warning and Nissan is unable to determine why this happens. They have added an update from the Nissan sentra recall for the same issue, but it has not been rectified. I have several videos and photos of the incidents, however the file types are not supported on this website.
This alerted while driving. Washed the car 4 times to make sure there was no dust interference. Two weeks and the system is still not working. Does not allow me to use anything that has to do with the aeb system. I believe it is the main sensor. No automatic headlight diming option. Cruise controll doesn't work with systems.

I've had issues since I purchased my Rogue (11/4/2020) with the aeb automatically stopping my Rogue when there is no obstacle in the way. It is mainly with the rear aeb, but has happened a few times with the front aeb.
