1 Blind Spot Detection problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2025

The backup camera stopped working. Vehicle taken to buckeye Nissan in ohio and rear hatch cover removed and a significant amount of water discovered in the rear hatch exposing the camera to this water has short circuited the camera disabling it. Tech checked the wire leading to the camera and reports that it has no power. Only option from 2 Nissan dealers is to replace the entire rear hatch at a cost of over $5000. Water penetration is coming in from the rear wiper which has a rubber gromet around it that is not water tight allowing a significant amount of water to short out the cameras on the 2021 Nissan Rogues. Common problem according to all of the Nissan forums online.

2 Blind Spot Detection problem

Failure Date: 01/26/2023

My backup camera was intermittent and then stopped working. Had extended warranty and got backup camera replaced. Worked for 2 weeks than was intermittent again. Brought back into dealership and was told that it was the wiring harness inside the back tailgate that was the issue. In order to fix the whole back tailgate of my 2021 Rogue sv awd had to be replaced. Camera only works 2% of the time. Nissan won't take care of the problem.
