The driver's side door does not open consistently. It started happening around November 2023. It seems to be at random times. Sometimes the door will not open when I need to get in and other times when I need to get out. It will not unlock with the key fob or by unlocking it from the inside manually. I have to climb across the passenger seat and use that door.

Left and right rear wheel well rubber weatherstrip moldings have fallen off twice. The piece comes off at highway speeds with the mounting screw exposed. Recently, in a rain storm, the vehicle became momentarily unstable as the right side molding came off and was run over. Fortunately, the screw did not cause a tire puncture. I have noticed the weatherstrip missing on numerous Nissan Rogue's indicating that this is a common occurrence. Dealer has fixed as warranty issue both times. Reported to manufacturer as complaint.

While driving in the rain on July 11, 2023 and for the first time I encountered rain dropping into the inside of my vehicle from several different places in the front windshield of my vehicle. The rain was falling profusely onto the gearshift area which caused me to multitask and try to cover the area to prevent any damage. I was able to get off the expressway and make it to the gas station where I took several pictures and videos. There were no warning lights or signs on my vehicle. There was an additional issue earlier this year when my car would not accelerate over 35-40 mph and when it did the car would shake badly. The car would just randomn make loud sounds and force a hard push before the accelerations. I took it to a Nissan dealership to find out the transmission had to be replaced. While driving the vehicle it steers toward the right. I also have noise from the bottom of the car and it appears there is something loose or dragging which causes making a left or right turn hard.

2018 Nissan Rogue SUV: hood suddenly flew open while driving about 30-35 mph. I was able to safely pull over; although hood and fenders were damaged, I could close the hood and subsequently brought it to a Nissan dealer. A tech at the dealership identified the problem as a "frozen" (open) hood latch. I am awaiting an insurance adjuster to inspect the car. There were no warnings or any symptoms of problems prior to this incident. Had this happened at faster speeds, or on a multi-lane highway, who knows what consequences could have ensued.

The fuel door cover flew off the 2021 Nissan Rogue while traveling the speed limit on I-71s between columbus, OH and cincinnati, OH. Prior to leaving my residence I verified that all doors and covers were secure. 3 hours into my drive on I-71 every safety warning lit up and sounded on the car, the cruise control disengaged, and in my mirrors I watched the fuel door cover skin land on the pavement and be destroyed by the semi that was behind me. Speed 75. I was in the middle lane caught in the wash of air coming from semis travelling beside me and in front of me. I contacted Nissan USA and they say they have not heard of anything. I spoke with the dealership and they just blew it off. This could be a serious issue if these trim panels come off the vehicles and cause an accident.
Nissan has not properly sealed the exterior of this car exposes the customer to extensive weather damage to the motor, electrical and the cabin of the car. Owners of this car has already hhad safety issues because of the root problem the car is not weather protected from it's inception. I'm not the expert but you have to weather seal a house and you must weather seal your cars because they are in the elements reagularly. No customer at the point of sale and no salesman can assure that the car is properly protected from water getting inside the car! that is an issue that the manufacturer should ganuantee. Ive owned numerous cars and water leakage into the cabin or motor has never been a problem. This should be a national recall to address the water leakage problem. This water breach has also caused mole and mildew to grow on the inside of the car.
The front hood latch seems to be loose and the hood vibrates a lot on the interstate. I am afraid that it is going to open while travelling at high speeds on the freeway.

The contact's deceased mother owned a 2014 Nissan Rogue that was inherited by his son. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked in his son's driveway in the rain. The contact stated that his son later noticed that the driver's side floorboard was filled with water. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 22v024000 (electrical system); however, the failure reoccurred while the vehicle was parked in the rain. The contact became aware of Nissan technical service bulletin number: ntb14-105a. The contact provided the TSB document to the dealer, who then repaired the vehicle based on the TSB instructions. The dealer discovered that the body sealing along the fire wall, below the driver's side windshield and behind the fender liners was not sealed, allowing water to leak onto the driver's side floorboard. The dealer resealed the body seal; however, upon picking up the vehicle from the dealer's parking lot, the contact noticed that the failure had reoccurred. The dealer removed the driver's seat and carpet and verified that there was no other potential water leak source. The dealer then reinstalled the seat and carpet after they had dried; however, the failure persisted. The dealer then informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle as they did not have a master technician. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,500.

Water has been making passenger’s side seats wet both rear and front. Making fungus to grow. That could result in poor health. Its been more than a year. Earlier suspected that water might have been spilled. But its always wet.
Driver side blows cold air: the plastic connected to the air mix motor control will damage over time and it's very expensive to replace the air box assembly. It's not safe to drive during winter.
My vehicle has a sun/moon roof. There are 2 drains that go down the side. The problem is there is a white piece of plastic that has plastic in the center at the bottom of the drain. If this gets clogged it causes the moon roof to leak water all over the interior. When this happened to me I was driving water and fell into my face and eyes. This was very unsafe. To fix the issue I used pliers to remove the inner plastic from the white plastic at the bottom of the drain. This should be recalled because there is no benefit to this center plastic. After water leaves the drain it goes out a 3 inch by 3 inch hole cut into the metal, then falls to the ground. There is no benefit restricting water out these drains. This will cause the sunroof to clog over and over again. This white piece of plastic should be replaced with a part that has no restrictions. This is poor design on Nissan's part. A clogged sun roof can cause water to fall into the drivers face, and it could ruin the interior.

Rear power liftgate opens and drops halfway on my head. This is not a one time problem. It's a defective liftgate issue where it opens to the top and then drops halfway every time the liftgate opens.
Drivers side rear door will not unlock and open from either the outside or inside of vehicle.

There is a bulge in the drivers side door. Every body shop I have brought it to has never seen it nor can explain how it happened.
I am experiencing the same issues stated in the recent recall. My battery is draining fast, there is corrosive liquid on the left front side of my recently purchased vehicle and there is a white residue on the front outer part of the car. There is also corrosive material on the front brake and on the metal parts of the connection to the front left tire.
1. Frame bracket has rusted out and dealer only sells whole frame. Very expensive is obviously an issue which has not been addressed but has been *noted on internet. (went after market to repair still at $775!) 2. Airbags system light now on and was on recall in the past. Dealer will only look at it for $100. * noted on internet as a continuous issue for some. 3. Cruise control on past recall. Has not functioned since dealer fixed in recall. *still turns on by itself and will not go off unless I turn vehicle off. **definite safety issue** 4. Parking brake not functioning properly was also on recall. If I use it then it will not release all the way and continues to drag. Useless. Have had repaired 2 times by mechanic since recall. 5. Transmission replaced on silent recall with extended warranty. Had issues from almost the start. Why would I purchase another Nissan of any type? vehicle 2008 Nissan Rogue is 13 1/2 years old with only 76,000 miles. No way should it have these issues. It has never been in an accident! I love the vehicle but not these issues. I will be replacing this vehicle in the future with a competitor.

I'm not happy with the recall! Nissan should have fixed this recall since it was reported 7 months ago. I'm not able to use my car the service that I bought it for. I need this fix ASAP.
We have a 2016 Nissan Rogue that is under the recall id. 22v-024. We have the water damage and that caused the wiring harness to malfunction. Nissan dealership fixed the harness problem but not fix the cause of this happening. We are getting water seeping up from the drivers side floor. I shop vac and use a fan to dry it out but the water returns. On the recall letter from Nissan it states in bold lettering #1 " please stop driving your vehicle immediately and call Nissan. " #2 "park your vehicles outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures. "by not fixing the root cause of the problem the harness will malfunction again which could lead to a fire inside the vehicle which is quite a safety issue. Nissan is aware of this problem but is refusing to fix the problem. Nissan dealership had this vehicle in there possession for 5 weeks in July, 20222, into August, 2022,.
My car has started leaking water onto the driver's side floorboard. I thought it might be from the sunroof and cleaned out the channels on both sides of the car. There was a recall years ago about a harness causing a problem with leaking water and possibly causing electrical problems. I took the car in for the repair. They told me that they fixed the problem. My car has started leaking again as it rains. The leak is getting worse and I need some advice. I am retired and have very limited funds. Sincerely, robin rose robinrose. 1@att. I have had to repair the rear window for leaking water through 2x. It is still a factory window but significant amounts of water was leaking. I had it repaired 2x, re-glued. But it is similar to the recall for the side door for the Rogue. The water leaking caused electrical problems (doors lock/unlock on own, etc) but must've stopped once it was dry. The date listed is for the last repair but was repaired a few years prior also.
At 156k I'm getting told I have to replace my slipping transmission. I just recently had to replace my lower control arms. Diagnosed to replace my cv axle. Also, last year I had to pay to have my seat belts fixed since the rear passenger belts would not buckle leaving serious safety risks for my children.

The a pillar was leaking and has since been addressed by my local dealer adhering to the service bulletin, however there are hundreds of other owners of the 21 and 22 Nissan Rogue experiencing the same thing with many having reoccurrences after 6 months. My concern is mildew/mold forming. It took months for proof of leaking to show (colors from carwash bled through).
Regardless of activating device - key fob, dashboard switch, foot or trunk latch - trunk closes by itself halfway after opening, impacting operator in the head causing injuries. Dealer refuses to investigate without $150 service charge for the obvious software defect.
Rear lift gate falls, will not stay up on its own. Appears to be a 2016 recall on other models of the same year that did not include my VIN, however I am having the same issue of the lift gate falling on my head.
Please note that I attempted to report this to Nissan today, but the first call I was hung up on after describing why I was calling and the second call went unanswered. At some point between 01/27/2022 and 01/31/2022, it was reported to me that my vehicle was destroyed by fire. My VIN was verified to be a part of the recent recall regarding salt water entering the driver side floor panel and causing electrical corrosion that could potentially result in fire. I did experience my driver floor board becoming wet, intermittently, after driving in rainy or wet road conditions as was described in the recent recall. The car has been completely destroyed by fire. For more information regarding investigation and vehicle location for inspection, please contact: north charleston fire department 843-740-2620 case# 22-0008846.
Every time you drive on the highway going 70 miles per hour the hood of the car moves and makes noise as if it where to pop open.
I have a 2021 Nissan Rogue in the collision shop (highly reputable corporation) for rear door scratch repair. When customer dropped off stated that her front door would not open from inside or outside. It only had 702 miles on it and still with the drive out tag. Once the door was able to get open after having to remove trim panels and such, noticed that the front drivers door release cable was too long and kept popping out of the handle base on door. Pulled the entire lock assembly and base out and works just fine, because there’s no pressure on the cable. Once installed back into vehicle, after 3 or 5 handle pulls, the handle would not unlock anymore once again. Noticed again that the release cable popped out once again out of the base. After repeating the whole process 3 times with the same result, I am now writing this concern. It would be devastating if a actual accident did occur and the cable popped off again and customer couldn’t escape out of her vehicle.
Rear liftgate stays failed. Liftgate would not stay up. Would come down on head of unsuspecting person using the automatic liftgate. Even if held up, the liftgate would fail. There was no warning--the stays just stopped working. Vehicle has been repaired with new stays by dealer. Each stay cost $535. 69 and there were two of them. Total parts and labor was $1246. 38.
Water is entering the vehicle thru a body seam that is causing the wire harness to corrode. These vehicles have had this problem since they rolled off the assembly line and Nissan knows this. On November 14, 2014 Nissan put out this service bulletin detailing how to diagnose and fix the Rogue that was brought in for service due to the carpet being wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor. It seems that when the vehicle was assembled, some body seams were not sealed correctly or not at all. In my opinion this is why the wire harness is getting wet causing it to corrode. Instead of recalling the vehicle for the real issue of water getting into the vehicle and fixing that problem, they are recalling the vehicle for the problem the water is causing. In my opinion the water entering the vehicle is the cause of the recall and should be addressed appropiately and not just by inspecting the wire harness for corrosion and applying their bandaid to the solution. Below you will find information related to the service bulletin I am referring too. Published date reference description November 14, 2014 ntb14-105 original bulletin published January 7, 2021 ntb14-105a applied vehicles updated.
The interior of the driver's side door was dented by the seatbelt being shut in the door. This causes the door sensor to alarm that the door is open. No other damage was done, and the vehicle has been in no wrecks that would cause this kind of damage. The metal should be strong enough to avoid denting by a seatbelt.
The trunk lift gate opens then closes. The safety feature in which it will open if it is close to coming into contact with an object does not work. Sometimes the malfunction is delayed and if an individual is reaching into the trunk , it will come down on their head and possibly close them between the liftgate and the trunk. The trunk was inspected by a Nissan service parts place and they said it coded for needing new spindles which is a $1300 part that is on national back order without an eta. This presents safety issue because it can cause head injury and possible body injury if a smaller sized individual gets closed between the liftgate and the trunk.
I was driving on highway at approximately 60 mph, when the hood opened spontaneously obstructing my view, and greatly increasing my likelihood of a catastrophic crash. I was able to see under raised hood, due to a built-in gap, and safely exit highway. When closing, damage sustained to body surrounding hood. There were no audio or visual arms that such an event would occur, nor that the hood may have been open. No police report was filed at the time, and a mechanic is evaluating now. (I was the driver, but am not the owner of the vehicle. Owner is dealing with mechanics at this time. ).
The hydraulics (?) in my manual lift gate suddenly failed. The hatchback slammed shut, and I barely ducked away in time. I was shaking. I thank god that my grandchildren weren’t the one retrieving an item. They could have been killed or paralyzed. I saw that Nissan recalled the Rogue for tailgate problems, but was told my vehicle wasn’t covered. (Nissan case #44796538). This defect means no one can use my cargo space without risking life and limb. This happened approximately the first week in September. No warnings. Anyone is welcome to inspect my car. In my decades of car ownership, I have never had this happen on any vehicle. Scary.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the roof rail has a clip where it attaches to the body, water can leak in there causing leaking in the headliner of the car. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? water damage, possibly mold growth. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no.

Second rear bumper part of main rear bumper gaps found between both bumpers defective or grips/ hooks gap. Create noise vibrating.
