For the last 2 years in the summer when the temperature reaches over 85f outside, my ac stops working and blows hot air. When the outside temperature is below 85 it works perfectly fine. 2 years my heating also went out in the dead of winter and only blew out cold air. Took it to the dealership and they reset the computer which seems to have fixed that problem. Over the last few days my ac/heating system has made a rattling noise and today it went completely out. I turn it on and the fan doesn't blow hot/cold air. According to multiple online searches, this is a known issue with the 2014-2017 Rogues that Nissan has yet to address or issue a recall on. And I would have to replace the whole system that will cost well over $2000. I live in chicago and being without working heat in the winter is a serious hazard. How many complaints need to be made before the manufacture takes it seriously.

Electrical harness wiring back of the engine caught fire while climbing a hilly terrain during rain conditions on the island mountain road of st. Thomas vi (charlotte amalie usvi).
I was driving on a city street, came up to an intersection to make a left hand turn and all of a sudden the car put on the brakes and jolted me and my passenger forward. There was no car in front of me or behind me at this time. I seen the warning come for no reason. I am a little nervous about driving the vehicle at this point.

2015 Nissan Rogue completely lost power on a parkway on October 26th around 7pm during a rain storm. Luckily there was low traffic and was able to coast off a nearby ramp however window-shield wipers stopped working and barely able to see. After coming to a stop the car was cut off and restarted. No check engine light or other warnings appeared on the dashboard. After a few days the car had no issues and then it cut off again on October 4th while at a stoplight late at night. I notified Nissan of America of the issue on September 27th and they mentioned there are no recalls or campaigns however I see several reports of the same power failure issue online. Local Nissan dealer has had the car since October 5th and cannot duplicate issue or find codes indicating what could cause the power failure. This is a vey serious safety issue and Nissan should know what could cause the car to completely power off and all control is loss briefly while driving. Car has approximately 103,000 to 106,000 miles and all maintenance has been done along with no previous serious engine or transmission issues.
The electrical and body modules malfunction ,the engine wouldn't shut off, tried to disconnect battery and it didn't work ,finally after pulling the fuse for the fuel it shut off, but couldn't start the engine back on. Had to be tow to the garage and I was told the warranty only cover one of the two modules that were bad. The total bill $1200.

I would like to report an issue with the vehicles automatic braking assistance system. While driving the car on an avenue, the car just stopped completely with no other traffic in the area. No one in front or behind. The car came to a complete stop and I and my passenger where thrown forward with the seat belts tightening around us. The car has also slowed down on major streets and highways. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
When I first got the vehicle last year a few days after having it my check engine light came on and I called the dealership and told them the issue, and the had me to bring it in the drive was over an hour . I get there they gave me a loaner. At first they said I could choose from a selection, but the I get there and I couldn't choose I could only get the truck they gave me because of the bankruptcy program. The other day the engine light came on again I took it to auto zone and they put it on the diagnostic machine and printed out a paper as if now I have over 70,000 miles on my dashboard, but the paper said 122,015 miles.
On four occasions my car has randomly started flashing a light on my dash and than grabbing the brakes as if someone or something was in front of me, on all four occasions there has been no one in front of me, but there has been people behind me that have had to swerve out of the way. The vehicle is brand new with less than 40k miles and is becoming more and more dangerous for my children and I.

Clock spring issues, as far as I know a clock spring should last as long as the life of the vehicle, unless there is an accident or something unavoidable. Due to this issue my horn stopped working; this happened while in motion. I hope Nissan takes responsibility and replaces my clock spring at no charge. Also, in less than a month two front signal bulbs had to be replaced (left and right. ).

My dash started to alarm with no active warnings. The sensors alarmed me to brake in heavy traffic when I was not close to any vehicle. The alarm continued to peep. I had to pull off hwy with my children. I turned off engine. Restarted vehicle and alarm continued. I had to physically turn off sensors. Not safe.
Happened multiple times till now. Car randomly brakes (automatic emergency brake) I'm the middle of the road while driving. I had a near miss yesterday and other close situations. This happened on city roads 3 times and the highway once.
I was driving down the road and the brakes locked up in the car came to a complete stop and the sensor system detected something in front of me when there was nothing in front of me. I wais traveling at a speed of 30 mph.
As I was driving the vehicle (2011 Nissan Rogue) cut off as I was slowing down. The vehicle began jerking as I was driving. All the lights on the dashboard came on and the vehicle shut off at a stop light. During another incident the vehicle stalled while going down a rode with a small hill. Then stalled on the highway off ramp. Luckily, we had a shoulder area to pull off. After sitting in the vehicle an waiting for 10 - 15 minutes the vehicles started and began driving fine. We later took the car to our local mechanic and her changed all the belts, axle rods, ball joints as wells as an oil change. The car rod fine for 3 months then bam! once again the same issues occurred. Our mechanic suggested researching information about the transmission because he felt the car transmission should not be the problem but from all the problems we were telling him, him thinks it is the transmission. We have read several current and former Nissan Rogue owner complaints and realized the problem was bigger than minor wear and tear. I would appreciate if the NHTSA will take this matter seriously and have Nissan take responsibility for the faulty work it is doing with vehicles put the lives of millions at risk daily!!!!.

The last 3 days my vehicle has been making sudden stops on the highway and the main roads. . . . . . No vehicles around for 4 out of the 5 engaging of the braking system the sensors are going crazy and slamming on the brakes the last one I was on the highway and there was a semi behind me that slammed on brakes and almost caused a major accident. . . . . . . . . Dont feel comfortable with my family in this Rogue anymore!!!!!.
While my girlfriend was driving to work on 2/28 the main monitor display went completely blank and never came back on. Display did come back on when she started the car to come home from work that day. Today 3/5 while driving to work she heard an alert noise and noticed the aeb warning indicator was on and said warning malfunction . There was nothing in the road and no traffic around her I did make a service appointment for Friday 3/6, 7:45 am at hoselton Nissan.

I purchased my 2019 Rogue sport on labor day. I had it less than 2 weeks when the front collision sensor started flashing randomly. I have had it in twice and they have not fixed it nor are they concerned. The dealership claims it can be caused by a dirty car or cold temperatures. The last time they had my vehicle for just short of 3 weeks and did nothing. Because they didn't see the sensor they assume it isn't a problem. The day after I got it back the sensor was back on and continue to turn on randomly. There is nothing in front of me, it's not cold out, and my vehicle is clean. This only happens when I am driving. I am hesitant to drive it far as I would hate to have it engage the brake system because it thinks I'm going to wreck.

I purchased my 2019 Rogue in April, starting in late October a light start coming on the dashboard. I took it in and the said I had a recall they say the fixed it. About a week later the light came on again I took it back and they keep it for two days they say they fixed it , a week later the light came back on again, they keep the car for the thanksgiving break and said the light never came on and the cant get a code off the light to fix it if they light never comes on with them. I took my truck back and I wasn't driving for five weeks. I started back driving the last week in December and the light came back on. On January 15 I was driving down the street with my foot on the gas pedal, nobody in front of me the car braked on its own scaring me. . That had never happened before and thankful nobody ran into the back of me. I am taking the car back in for service on Friday. This will be the fourth time with the light come on the dashboard and the first time it braked on me will I was still driving.
I was pulling into my garage a few days ago and the emergency brake system engaged. There was absolutely nothing in front of me when this happened. Again today, I was driving down the city road going approximately 25 mph and the car it happened again. The warning flashed, car beeped and just stopped for no reason at all. Nothing in front and thankfully no cars behind me. This is extremely dangerous and scary! thank goodness I was not in an accident due to this issue.
I was driving my 2018 Nissan Rogue sport s awd and out of the blue on the instrument panel pop up's chassis control system error and and all of the little instrument diagrams started flashing on and off the radio and clock turn off the car was making a buzzing sound. So I pulled over off the road took out the manual it say take to a Nissan dealer for complete scan of all the systems. Which I will be doing on Wednesday 1/8/2020, which is the earliest that they could see me. But my question is is their and issues with this car because I've been checking online and alot of people or reporting they have issuses with this system and no one seems to be able to get and answer on why this is happening. And if this issuses has be going on since about 2016 that I've found why hasn't Nissan done something about it,.
Keep getting warning message while driving - this warning appears when the blind spot warning/lane departure warning or forward collision warning systems are not functioning properly. The breaks while driving will seem to shake. Like I don't have control of them. Water coming in through the hatch/trunk of car. So many problems with this brand new car.
In pulling out of my driveway, backing up and in motion with no obstructions, car began hard breaking jerking myself and my passenger forward. The same action occurred following day while I was in car alone backing out of driveway, thrusting/jerking me forward with hard braking action, while my foot is on accelerator for backing up motion.
Driving on highway at 5:30am. No other cars around me, car breaks hard out of nowhere jerking me forward.
I turned my car on and drove about 1 foot in a parking lot with no cars or pedestrians in front of me and my car just rolled to a stop, it was a little shaky and didn't feel right. The car was towed to my dealer and they found no issues with the car. Also prior to that the automatic braking light blinks randomly when no cars or pedestrians are in front of me. This also continues to happen whether I am in park or drive.
I was driving to work this morning at 6:25am about 35 mph on a major road, not highway, when the automatic vehicle brakes stopped the car suddenly. The brakes showed up in the display. There was nothing in front of me, clear road, no rain. I was shaken up a bit, the brakes released.
Please refer https://community. Cartalk. Com/t/turn-signal-volume/64854/6 dear congressman, senator, or administrator I wish to open a car safety case. It is widespread and not receiving enough publicity or attention. I have owned several cars, most recently a 2002 Toyota corolla and a 2010 Nissan Rogue. If you read the car talk discussion at the above-referenced website, you will understand my concern and the concerns of many car owners and drivers. By the negative nature of some comments denying and ridiculing the issue, you might think that some car manufacturer representatives are providing offsetting and negative publicity. Briefly, I am inadvertently leaving my turn signal on and not being alerted that it is on by either its visual or audible indicators. The visual signal is buried deep in the dashboard and the audible signal frequency and volume make it hard to distinguish from road noise. This is inconvenient and dangerous. Therefore, I believe that the turn signal indicator system in these cars does not work as intended and is a safety hazard. I am seeking a way to enhance or amplify the visual and audible signal. There seems to be no aftermarket kit to do that. What am I asking for? please respond to me and either agree or disagree with my concern. Please refer me to any aftermarket accessory or modification that will fit my car and alleviates the issue. Please guide me in initiating a car safety issue or case that will broadly come to the attention of appropriate legislators and regulators. Please do not reply with a generic, generalized and non-specific thank you for your concern letter.

The traction light blinks on and off randomly and the car slips/jerks on any turns. Also awd automatically comes on while driving on highway without any inclement weather or bad roads present.

My new Nissan Rogue has only 356 miles on it . Universal Nissan sold it to me and the car's computer seems to be malfunctioning. It seems to be a hardware issue and not a software issue as they tried updating the software with no success. They were unable to fix the auto safety brake. It does not work for front pedestrians or rear pedestrian safety. The vehicle also does not apply the brakes in times of emergencies as it is advertised to do so. I have almost been killed in the car because the computer is malfunctioning and speeding up instead of applying the brakes. The car is a deathtrap. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs, they said I have to talk to the dealership. I also received a mild concussion when the lift-gate smashed down on my head after I was checking out the trunk. The lift-gate was opening on its own while I was driving on the freeway. When I stopped to close it, it came down and smashed me in the head before I even activated it. Also, the car is burning gas quite rapidly. I am getting less than 16 miles to the gallon, and this is mostly freeway driving, even though it is advertised at 26 city, 31 hwy. . Universal Nissan told me that I have to put high leaded premium gas or I will not get good mileage, but I don't think that is correct. There was also a mysterious fire burn beneath the car when I purchased it. I brought the Nissan Rogue in to be checked by universal Nissan service, and they kept the car for four days. They were unable to fix the car's computer. The pro-pilot assist steering correction, doesn't work because Nissan's custom leather steering wrap for this model of Rogue interferes with the steering correction, you have to constantly squeeze the steering wheel to the point of exertion. I asked universal Nissan to refund my money, but they have refused .
On August 22, 2019, while driving the automatic emergency breaking system engaged (flashing lights, warning beeps and a grinding noise) while I was driving about 30 to 40 mph, causing the car to stall and forcibly jerk. This almost caused me to get rear ended. There was no obstruction ahead. This had already happened 2 other times and the dealership could not find anything wrong with it. I took it immediately after it happened the third time.
On August 16, 2019, while driving under a toll both on a turnpike, the automatic emergency breaking system engaged (flashing lights, warning beeps and a grinding noise) while I was driving about 30 to 40 mph, causing the car to stall and forcibly jerk. This almost caused me to collide against the toll booth. There was no obstruction ahead. This had already happened 2 other times and the dealership could not find anything wrong with it. I took it immediately after it happened the third time and the dealership acknowledged that they had a technical service bulletin (TSB) and reprogrammed the sensors. On their notes, they wrote "reprogram icc and adas control units (warranty) (applicable TSB)". I have driven under a toll booth after and have not experienced anything similar, however, this should have been a recall as this almost caused an accident. My Rogue only has a little over 20,000 miles on it.
The camera that controls the automatic breaking system as well as the lane warnings keeps saying there is an obstruction but there isn't one. I owned the vehicle about 1 hour when the warning light appeared and they said it was a simple software update but now they are saying it needs a new sensor. I want to return the car but I am in nh where there is no cooling off period. I am afraid this is going to be an ongoing issue after reading here, please advise.
